Looking

At the lounge on the building where Enzo works. He sleeps on the sofa as people pass by him then he wakes up. He picks up his phone and walks away.

At the station, he sits down on this LED wallpaper behind him labeled the government channel as it says that overpopulation can be solved by determining your partner's number to yours and make sure its only two numbers ahead.

The train arrives at it makes a noise and Enzo walks to the train door as other people line up to go inside with him. He sits down as the train moves and the view of the city behind him.

He checks his pocket.

"Wait were's my phone?" In his thoughts.

Enzo looks for his phone at the ground, on the side of the seats, and the people looking at him. He looks at their faces, looking for some culprit on who stole his phone.

"It can't be her. She's cute though" His thoughts said. Looking at the woman beside him.

"Could be him." In his thoughts as he looks at the punk across him wearing a leather jacket and tattoos all over his arms.

Enzo stands and looks at his seat. He squats down to see if it fell but nothing is there. He stands again and looks at the punk.

"Excuse me, have you seen a red phone fall around here?" he asked.

The punk stands and he's taller than Enzo.

"Are you calling me a thief?" The Punk asked.

Enzo looking scared.

"No. I just--" - Enzo gets interrupted.

The punk gets close to Enzo.

"You better not be." The punk replied.

The train stops and opens its doors. The punk leaves the train as Enzo looks at him.

"The fuck's his problem? That was out loud." - Enzo in shock sees the six-year-old child wearing a cute pink jacket looking at him.

The child's mother in her mid 30's, takes her daughter with her to the next car away from Enzo. He felt bad so he sits down and contemplates as he looks outside the window with the view of the sunset.

At Enzo's apartment, he sits down on his bed with his pajamas on. He looks to you and stares.

"Life has nothing to offer me but hurt, my mother thinks I have to find her now but I don't want to. I want to stay here to read and write with all of my heart. I don't want anyone but you in my life. You have been by my side for years now and have supported me all the way. You've read my stories but I also want to be in yours. En..." - seeing Enya across his bed.

Enya looks away.

"I'm sorry Zo that I can't be real for you right now, but maybe ninety-nine is out there too you know. Waiting like you are now. She's all alone out there looking for someone to also fill her gap in life and you'll be a great husband I know it. I may have wished once, that she would be me but I wasn't and now I've got someone. I found him now so I'm okay... I'm not alone anymore. I wish you do too." Enya said.

A voice of a man echoes calling Enya, it's her husband.

"Hon let's go! we'll miss it." Enya's husband said.

"I got to go Zo, I miss you. See you soon." - her hologram fades.

Enzo looks away and lays on his bed.

At the train station, a woman in her mid 20's wearing a coat with blonde hair and fair skin, finds his phone and picks it up.

The next day at the train station, Enzo walks to the information desk.

"Hi did someone found my red phone model S2?" Enzo asked the lady officer.

"This yours Sir?" the officer asked.

"Yes, that's it! Who found it?" Enzo asked.

"It was a blonde lady registered as four seventy-seven ninety-nine." the officer said.

Enzo in shock as he looks at the lady officer.

"Did she leave a number, or maybe her name?" Enzo excitedly asked.

"No Sir, sorry," the officer said.

"Oh ok, thanks," Enzo said disappointedly.

Enzo walks away from the information desk. Enzo looking down in the dumps walks up the subway station and walks at the city sidewalks. He has no destination to go to, his mind is empty. He isn't thinking, he's just walking alone on the streets with people who are also alone.

Enzo turns left at this crowded crosswalk as he gets bumped by a man on his 50's with white hair and a beard. His phone and his wallet fell.

"Sorry," Enzo said to the man.

Enzo sees his wallet and picks it up. He looks for his phone around as he sees the different shoes and legs people passing by the crosswalk. He sees two brown boots just standing as he looks up and sees a blonde woman holding his red phone. The sunset's rays touch her face on her left cheek like so.

"Beautiful," Enzo said out loud.

The woman smirked on Enzo as he's still in shock on such beauty.

"Is this yours?" the woman asked.

Enzo just stares at her.

"Ye...yea...yes it is," Enzo replied.

She gives the phone to Enzo as he takes it from her. He takes a gulp and composes himself.

"Hi," he said.

"Names Charlotte," she said.

Charlotte extends her hand to Enzo as they shook hands.

"I'm Enzo," he said.

"I was the one who found your phone at the station," she said.

"She's the one," in Enzo's thoughts.

"Yes thank you for that," he said.

"You better be careful, you might lose it again," she said.

"I would never lose you again," he said.

"Shit that was out loud," in his thoughts

Charlotte smiled.

"The phone! Yes, the phone of course!" he shouted.

"Right, I better go," she said.

"Yes, thank you," he said.

Charlotte walks away. Enzo seems to be having second thoughts.

"Wait!" Enzo shouted.

Charlotte stops and turns back at him.

"Are you busy?" he asked.

Charlotte smiles at him.

At the same Japanese restaurant, Charlotte is sitting at a table. Enzo walks to her and sits down across her.

"Sorry it took long, I had to order the specific ramen tweaks so that you can taste the best," Enzo said.

"No it's fine," she replied.

He looks at her and smiles as she does the same.

"So what do you do Charlotte?" Enzo asked.

"I'm an architect," she replied.

"Oh nice, that was my lost dream," he said.

"Really, how?" she asked.

"I dropped out and pursued acting," he replied.

Charlotte is shocked.

"What? you're an actor? Have I seen you in anything?" she asked.

"Remember the last Avatar movie, the one with the blue aliens?" he asked.

Charlotte nods at him.

"I was Jake's blue friend who fell down the chopper in slow motion in hoping to escape from the soldiers," he said.

"For real!?" she asked.

"Yeah, but I quit all that and became a visual artist" he replied.

"What? but why? you were famous," she said.

"True, but the living conditions in Hollywood California isn't so homie for your first time there," he said.

Enzo drinks the glass of water on his side.

"I mean if you ever worked there, you have to live there. You're not just visiting you have to fucking live there if you want to survive," Enzo said.

"Wow I didn't know that, so do you live in new york now?" she asked.

"Yeah in Bayridge," he replied.

"Brooklyn?!" she asked.

"Yes! You know it?" he asked.

"Hell yeah! I live there," she replied.

"Get out of town! for real?" he asked.

"Yes Enzo for real," she replied.

A waiter butts in their conversation as he serves them.

"Excuse me, Sir, Madame here is your drink," the waiter said.

"Oh thanks," Enzo said.

Puts the glasses to them and pours Sake on the glasses. He puts the Sake on the table as he finishes and leaves.

"I've never tried this before," Charlotte said.

"You should, it's somehow addicting," Enzo said.

Charlotte drinks the sake as Enzo looks at her as she drinks the whole thing in one go. She puts down her glass and laughs.

Hours passed and they're both laughing while holding their glasses. They're both drunk as we see three bottles of sake on the table.

"I can't believe you live two blocks away from me," she said.

"Yeah me too, what are the odds," he said.

"Right?" she said and laughed.

"I think we should go, I'm starting to feel a little bit tipsy," he said.

"Weak," she said.

"What? no, I'm just concerned for you," he said.

"Aww... that's so cute, you're just in a hurry to have sex don't you?" she said.

"No! I mean we can't do that we haven't even seen each other numbers yet," he replied.

Charlotte holds out her wrist for Enzo to see. He sees 447-89 on her wrist.

"There, now your turn," she said.

He holds out his hand for her to see.

"Shame, we're never meant to be," she said.

"Yeah," he said.

"Privately, I don't believe in that crap. I mean who cares right? as long as you love someone you love them, nothing can stop you from it," she said.

Enzo looks around.

"Keep your voice down someone might hear you, It's the law you know," he said.

"Fuck the law, who cares if we overpopulate, love is love Enzo ok? love is love," she said as she passed out.

Enzo reacts and grabs her by the hand.
