The Shields

Currently being the only ones in plane, All Might and Shun were on their way to the I-island. All Might who was in his deflated form was lying back comfortably on his seat with a headphone over his head listening to music. He then glanced towards Shun who even though was trying not to show it but was still excited if his lips that were twitching to show a smile were any indication.

All Might smiled seeing his junior excited and removed the headphones and asked, "Seems like you are excited, Shun-shounen. But calm down it will still take quite a bit of time to reach there." and patted the boy's head.

Shun looked at All Might and said, "I am not excited....it's just that, I am happy that I got to attend the camp that is arranged for kids interested in making hero gear, even though mine was a last minute entry and I had not that much hopes that I would be selected by the draw."

All Might nodded his head and said, "Hmm...seems pretty excited to me from what you are saying. Sensei told me that you were pulling all nighters one after another to complete something before the camp. You were excited, right?" All Might looked at Shun with a teasing expression on his face making him embarrassed that his grandfather told about it to him.

But Shun soon calmed down and said, "I am just happy that I would finally be able to get some professional help in making hero gear...." He then looked at All Might and with a small smile on his face said, "Thanks a lot Uncle Toshinori, for coming with me here. Since Grandpa was not able to go with me you saying that you would accompany me, made me very happy."

All Might who heard Shun's genuine thanks was taken aback and a few tears appeared at the corner of his eyes and he looked away and said, "Shit, this dust!..."

Shun just smiled as he truly felt grateful towards the deflated number one hero in front of him and looked away as he started imagining what all would he see at the island.

Shun and All Might took their luggage off the cabinets and All Might reminded him to not mention about his situation to anyone.

Shun and All Might soon landed and got off their plane and Shun immediately placed a hat on top of All Might's head and made him wear a mask.

All Might who saw that was totally astonished by Shun's idea and was thinking why did he not tried it himself before.

Soon both of them got out of the airport and just as Shun expected, none of the people back at the airport recognised the number one hero who was standing beside him, since his eye catching hair were not visible.

All Might then looked around for a while when suddenly his eyes widened and he immediately raised his hand.

Standing out a bit because of his height and raised hand the person whom All Might was trying to gesture looked at him for a while before the person too widend his eyes and waved his hands.

All Might looked at Shun and said, "Let's go."

Shun nodded his head and followed All Might and soon both of them came near the person All Might waved at earlier. The person whom All Might knew was a man with brown hair and beard wearing specs who was happily being crushed by All Might.

"David, my buddy!!!" exclaimed All Might as he hugged his friend.

The man too hugged him back and said, "Long time no see Toshi, happy to have you here."

"Uncle Might, hello!!! You remember me?!?!" asked a blonde haired girl who was standing behind the man named David.

All Might put David down and picked up the blonde haired girl and said, "Of course not Melissa. I do remember you." and started laughing.

David looked at the interaction between the muscled up man and the little girl who most likely was his daughter with a smile on his face, but soon his gaze fell upon Shun and he smiled.

Seeing the unknown person looking at him Shun got a bit alerted and started gathering energy in his hand in case of a sudden attack.

David bent a little and asked, "And who is this young man here?"

All Might who heard David looked towards them and placed Melissa down and said, "This.....well in a way you can call him my junior. He is Sensei's grandson." and placed his hand over Shun's shoulders knowing that Shun was very bad against strangers and said in a low voice, "Don't worry, they are good people."

Shun glanced at All Might who nodded his head and said, "I am here you know." and smiled.

Shun then bowed his head towards David and said, "I am Shun Kazami. Nice to meet you."

Seeing the small boy speaking so politely to him David felt a bit flustered and said, "A-Ah! I am David Shield. Nice to meet you too...umm Kazami-kun."

"Shun is fine....and did you just said David Shield! One of the people who will instruct during the camp!?" asked Shun with a slightly excited tone.

"Yes, I am instructing as well. So you were the one whom All Might asked me recommended, huh." said David not noticing the panicked expression on All Might's face.

Shun who heard what David just said immediately looked towards All Might who averted his eyes the moment they made eye contact.

David who noticed this scratched his cheek and asked, "Umm.....was it something like a surprise...?"

All Might sighed and just nodded his head and looked at Shun and said, "Well not any longer, though I thought to not tell him."

Shun looked at All Might and said, "Thank you." to which All Might smiled and said, "No need for that kiddo." and ruffled Shun's hair making him slightly annoyed.

Shun removed All Might's hand from top of his head and looked towards the girl who was looking at him curiously and said, "Hello."

The girl waved her hand and said, "Hello, I am Melissa Shield! You can call me Melissa."

"You can call me Shun." said Shun adjusting his hair.

"Let's get in the car and save the chit chat for later." said David to which All Might immediately agreed since he didn't want to waste a lot of time of his powered up form.

Melissa and Shun who were sitting behind All Might and David were sitting silently listening to the two friends talk to eachother.

Suddenly Melissa looked towards Shun and asked, "You will be attending the camp as well right?"

Shun nodded his head and said, "Yeah, thanks to All Might's and your father's help.".. Melissa nodded her head with a smile on her face and said, "We will be there together since dad gave a recommendation for me as well so let's get along there Shun." and moved her hand forward to shake.

Shun gave her a hand shake and said, "Let's get along and have fun Melissa." to which Melissa nodded with a smile on her face and said, "You are different from other kids I met before, you know. You don't get flustered when not using the last name to address you and you don't feel embarrassed shaking hands with me like some other boys, I have met before."

Shun tilted his head in confusion and asked, "What's there to get flustered over a hand shake?"

Melissa shrugged her shoulders and said, "I don't know."

Both the children didn't understand what the reason was and hearing their talks the adults just smiled wryly.

Shun and Melissa just kept that at the back of their minds after which Melissa started telling Shun about the structures that came in their view on the way to the Shield residence.
