Arrogant Youngsters

Mu Yue felt good after she woke up as this was the first time she slept in a bed after she started cultivating. She then exited the room and went to the innkeeper to buy breakfast.

"Mr. Innkeeper, one set of breakfast please." Mu Yue said while she took a seat.

While eating, Mu Yue kept on thinking about what she should do today. 'I should first explore the city. My storage ring has about 10 000 gold inside. This should be enough to buy beginner materials.'

The storage ring contains gold as well as 1 000 high-grade spiritual stones. These spiritual stones contain spiritual energy that are absorbed by cultivators. They also served as another form of currency of cultivators where 1 low-grade spiritual stone can be exchanged for 10 gold. 1 000 low-grade spiritual stones have an equal spiritual value of, 100 middle-grade, 10 high-grade, or 1 supreme-grade spiritual stone. The spiritual stones that Mu Yue possesses are enough for a Core Formation to reach the Nascent Soul stage.

Mu Yue then went around the city. She arrived at a branch of Treasure Pavilion, a well-know auction house that sells cultivation items. A group of youngsters saw her eye-catching white hair.

"Little girl, become my servant. I will guarantee your safety, you will not live a poor life under me." One of the youngsters said while approaching Mu Yue.

Mu Yue ignored them and continued walking inside the pavilion.

"Dared to ignore me!" The youngster was angered for being ignored and reach for Mu Yue's shoulder. His hand has just touched her shoulder when Mu Yue suddenly slapped it away.

"Stop bothering me, I'm here to buy things and not to be ordered around by others." Mu Yue's cold eyes landed on the youngster. The youngster took a step back unconsciously.

The youngster realized that he took a step back and was embarrassed. He tried to act strong while facing Mu Yue. "You are just a girl, kneel and I might just forgive you for slapping my hand."

Mu Yue, unfazed by the youngster's threat, ignored him again, planning to continue browsing for items when the youngster suddenly threw a punch to her. She dodged the punch and kicked back. The youngster was knocked back for 2 meters and fell on the floor.

The other youngsters, realizing what happened, were about to pounce on Mu Yue when suddenly a strong pressure appeared. The youngsters and Mu Yue froze. The youngsters fell on their knees while Mu Yue tried to keep on standing.

'Strong' Mu Yue thought as the pressure disappeared. A guard of the pavilion appeared.

"It is forbidden to fight inside the pavilion, you all are warned. Do it again and we will ban you from entering."

"Why did you put pressure on us as well? It is clear that the girl kicked our friend and we are just here to help him!" One of them tried to reason to the guards.

"Do you think my eyes are blind! I clearly saw that boy punching first and the girl only counterattacked. Now scram or I will use violence!" The guard looked at the youngsters.

Frightened out of their wits, the youngsters hurriedly tried to stand up and leave the pavilion. Just before they leave, they shouted at Mu Yue. "Just you wait white-haired bitch! We will surely take revenge!"

The guard then looked at Mu Yue and bowed. "I'm sorry young miss about this commotion. Please continue browsing for items."

"Thank you for your assistance." Mu Yue said to the guard.

"No problem young miss, If you wish to browse for items, feel free to ask the other servants for direction and they will guide you to the items."

Mu Yue followed the suggestion and looked for the servants. She went near a servant and asked, "Can you give guide me to the items that new cultivators need?"

"Yes miss, the first item will be medicinal pills." The servant guided Mu Yue to the pill area.

"Every cultivator uses Qi gathering pills. For a new cultivator, low-grade Qi gathering pills are sufficient." The servant said as the servant hands a bottle containing 10 of the pills.

"Are there any differences between using these pills and using spirit stones?" Mu Yue asked. She knows that spirit stones can help with cultivation, however they can only be used when one reaches the foundation realm.

"Different from spirit stones, Qi gathering pills can be used by those of the Qi Condensation stage. They are also cheaper. Spirit stones contain spiritual energy while Qi gathering pills enhance a cultivator's absorption rate of spiritual energy. A low-grade Qi gathering pill can be used for an hour and it will increase the absorption rate by half."
