Chapter 13: UniHybrid

Angel's POV:

After I ran into the cave, I saw three hooded figures. They saw me and I tried to explain to them that I felt dizzy and lightheaded. I passed out afterwards. Where am I? What's happening to me? Hi. Who said that? Me. Whose 'me'? I'm your subconscious. In the Magic world, we talk and help you out in life....we also give commentary on things that's interesting. Whether you like it or not. Okay? Well Angel it's nice to meet you. Um, nice to meet you too...I didn't get your name. I don't have one. Magical beings name us. Umm okay. How bout Rose? I love it. Wait, magical being? I'm not magical being. Well not completely but your own your way. The Great Amulet is almost done. The Great Amulet?

Oh yeah. I need to give it to Annie. Why would you do that? Cause she needs it. Her and the Magic Council have been looking for it. Okay. First off, everyone has been looking for it. Everyone knows of its existence but not its whereabouts. Second, why should Annie have it? The Great Amulet can give the chosen one its powers. It's incredibly powerful. The most powerful thing in the universe. It can amplify any magical being's powers and make them unstoppable. Wow. No wonder everyone wants it. It's sound powerful and dangerous. It is. That's why the Great Amulet chooses who it wants to absorb its powers. It's careful on who it gives it to.

No wonder Grey made a big deal on it. Oh yeah. He's dangerous and only wants it for himself. That's why the Great Amulet helped save you from him. Well I need to thank it. Oh it knows. What's that sound? Voices. Go ahead and wake up. But I have questions. And they will all get answered. We can still talk. I'm your subconscious. I have a voice now. You can understand me but right now you need to wake up. Wake up Angel. Bye Rose. Bye love. I opened my eyes to see and hear Justin and Abby arguing. She said something about being a good girlfriend and I blatantly said a fucking lie. I tried to stand up but my legs felt like jelly. Trey ended up carrying me.

I found out the three hooded figures were the Magic Council, leaders of the Magic world. We talked about the Great Amulet and they said it was inside me. They told me to rest up and to not go to school tomorrow. That scared me because I have clean record. I never missed a day of school. Even when I was sick, I still went. The Magic Council then teleported us all out the cave and teleported Tasha back to us. She was disoriented and confused but they told us to let me and her rest up til morning. My Dad and Trey carried us back to my car at McDonald's. They put us in the back seat and drove us home. Trey carried me upstairs to my room. As soon as my head hit the pillow, I was out like a light. After a some hours had passed, I rolled over and felt something hard next to me.

Please don't be a dead body. It's not a dead body Angel. I slowly opened my eyes and saw hair. I carefully leaned over to see who it was. I sighed in relief that it was just Tasha. I carefully got from under the covers and walked to the bathroom. I walked in the bathroom and looked in the mirror. I was out of my night clothes and had on boxer shorts and a T-shirt. The hell? When I changed clothes. I heard in my room. I stopped and peeked in it. Tasha looked Aryana began crying. I ran up to her. "Tasha what's wrong?" I asked. She looked at me and hugged me. "I'm so scared Angel." She whispered. "Tasha it's okay. He's not gonna hurt you again." I said. "What if he comes back?" She asked, staring at me with big brown eyes.

"I'll kill him. You don't have to worry about him. Now hush all that crying. You've cried enough lately." I said. She sniffed and wiped her face. I picked her up and carried her downstairs. "Mama?" I called out. Just then, I heard quick movements. Mama, Daddy, and Trey appeared at the bottom of the stairs. They looked up at us. "Oh my God Angel. Are you okay? Tasha baby, how you feel?" Mama asked, walking up the stairs. She looked us up and down, checking us for anything. "Ma, we're fine. We just woke up." I said. "Good. Come one. We have lots to talk about." Said a voice. I looked down to see the Magic Council. The three of them walked over to the stairs. "Wow. Listen, Magic Council, maybe give us some time to fully wake up. I mean, a lot just happened to us. We are still a little bit tired." I said.

They stared at me. "Your Graciousness, she's right. At least let them have breakfast and then we can talk." Mama asked. They looked at her then at me and Tasha. "All right. So be it." They said. Then one of them pulled out a phone. "Bishop, she's awake....yes....send everyone you want to over here.....good. Okay." They said. I stared at them. I carefully walked down the stairs. Tasha leaned over so Dad could carry her. We walked to the kitchen, where my Mama started cooking. Just then, the doorbell ringed. Trey appeared out of nowhere and answered it. "Bishop. Right this way." He said, as he helped Bishop in. He was followed by Annie, Mike, Justin, Kacey, Abby, and some other people I didn't know too well. They all walked over to the kitchen with us.

"Angel how do you feel?" Kacey asked, coming over to sit next to me. "I don't even know man." I said, chuckling. "Now Angel. There's some things you need know." Annie began. "Uh actually Annie, we're gonna wait til Angel and Tasha fully wake up to talk to them." Bryant said. Annie looked at him then nodded. "Alright." She said. As my Mama cooked, I looked around and saw everyone staring at me. I felt highly uncomfortable. I felt like I was under a microscope. I didn't like it. I got up and walked to the fridge to get a juice pouch. I walked back to my seat and scooted closer to Kacey. She put her arm around me. I leaned against her. After my Mama got done cooking, she set it out for me, Tasha, and Trey. The whole room was silent as we ate.

That's when I snapped. "Okay can someone please say something other than stare at us?! Please. And stop staring at me!!!" I cried. They was surprised at me. I put my face in Kacey's neck. "We apologize Angel. It's just we have business to discuss." The Magic Council said. "Well can we do it another time?" I asked. They moved closer to me. "Angel I understand this is hard for you but we're curious. We all are." One said. "Look Magic Council-" they cut me off. "My name is Dominic. This is Sally and Terry." One said. "Okay Sally, I'm sorry but this is creeping me out. I get you wanna know about that Great Amulet, but I don't know what to tell you." I said. She tilted her head to the side. "Angel, please eat." She said. I didn't like that. I closed my eyes and counted to ten.

I turned around and ate my food. I looked at Kacey. She was staring straight ahead. I wanted her company. Right now, she's the one I'm more comfortable with. I looked over at Tasha. She seemed to be playing with Trey's hair. I hate my life. Shut up. It's only gonna get better. The sooner you talk to them, the sooner they'll leave. I ate the last little bit of food and threw my plate away. I sat back and looked at them. "Alright, what do you need to know?" I asked, irritably. They all stared. "Angel, I would like for you to be polite when speaking with the Magic Council." Annie said. "Sorry but when a bunch of people are staring me down, it's hard to be polite." I said, sarcastically. "Angel." Mama warned. That's when I perked up.

Mama was quick to put us in line. "What do y'all wanna know?" I asked, in a nice tone. "How do you feel?" Sally asked. Is she serious? "I feel fine." I said. She stared at me. "Do you really Angel?" She asked. Oh my goodness. Just answer. The sooner you answer, the sooner they'll leave. "Yes ma'am. I'm fine." I said, with a smile. "Angel really." Terry said. I didn't say anything. I sighed. "Actually I'm irritated. Because I feel like a specimen being observed by a bunch of people, underneath a microscope right now." I said. Sally smiled. "Okay. Now how have you ever tried doing anything now that your different?" She asked. "No. I just woke up." I said. Then I thought of something. "Speaking of which, I wanna get ready." I said, as I stood up and walked towards the stairs. "Ready? Ready for what?" Dad asked.

"For my day." I said. I quickly ran upstairs before anyone else could say anything. I ran to the bathroom and took a shower. I felt the water hit me as I drifted off to a relaxing state of mind. Just then, my legs felt jelly. I felt off balance. I feel to the floor hard. I tried to stand up but I couldn't feel my legs. I looked behind me to see that I had a tail. WHAT YEH HELL?! I screamed. I heard footsteps run up the stairs. "Angel?!" Kacey cried. Multiple footsteps followed her. "Kacey!!!" I cried. She ran in the bathroom and paused. She stared at me then chuckled. "Well you got one down." She said. "What's that's suppose to mean?" I asked. "Wow Angel. You got a tail." Celia said. Then she gasped. "Your a mermaid." She said, smiling.

"Is that what you are?" I asked. She nodded. "Yep. Now I can teach you and Tasha how to use your powers." She said. The Annie, Bishop, and the rest popped in the bathroom. "A mermaid. That's her first transformation." Bishop said. "Well how do I get rid of it?" I asked. Tasha stepped up to me and raised her hand over me. Then steam started off me. It stung a bit. After a few seconds, my tail went away. "Wow Tasha." Celia said. Tasha smirked. "I've been practicing." She said. "I see. Keep that up and you and Angel will have moon rings." Celia said. "Mom ring?" I asked. "Yep. Imagine your mermaid powers times 1000." She said. I stood up and cut the shower off. "So what? Im a mermaid? That's what I am?" I asked. "No Angel. Your a Uni-Hybrid." Dominic said.

He stepped over to me. "What's a Uni-Hybrid?" I asked. "Let's finish this conversation downstairs please." Sally said. We walked out my room, back downstairs. "A Uni-Hybrid is the most powerful being in existence. Every magical being in one. Angel, your the first ever Uni-Hybrid in history." Sally said. "Does this means she's a threat to us now?" Colin asked. I looked at him. "Umm, we don't know yet. We don't know how powerful Angel is exactly." Sally said. "Or what powers she possesses." Terry said. "Well we'll have to see for ourselves." Dominic said. He turned to the rest. "Okay. Only four for come with us to see what Angel's capable of." He said. "I'm her father. I'm going." Dad said. "Me too." Kacey said. I looked at Justin.

I really wanted him to come with. He didn't seem focused on me. He was busy staring at Abby, Whose was staring off into space. She's been quiet ever since she arrived. What's wrong with her? Chick's crazy. Yeah but she hasn't said a word since she came in. So? That's a plus. Stop it Rose. I may not like her but she's still a being. "I'll come with. I gotta see this for myself." Said a man who looked like Justin. This must be his father. It was only one more person who was allowed to come. I decided to just say it. "Justin why don't you come with?" I asked. He looked at me. He had an emotion in his eyes. I didn't know what it was but it was there. "Umm, I don't know." He said. I walked up to him. "Please." I pleaded. He opened his mouth but Abby butted in.

"Why don't you take your sister? I'm sure she misses you after you Grey kidnapped her." She said. I stared at her. Psycho ass bitch. Take her. Why? You know the saying. Keep your friends close but enemies closer. I like your thinking. Plus, I wanna scare her. "No. Abby." I said. I stepped closer to her but she backed up. "I want you to come." I said, smiling. She was taken aback by my words. "What?" She asked, softly. "I want you to come with me. You seem like you know a lot. I don't want to have a toxic relationship with you. So why don't you come?" I said, grabbing her hand. She was shocked by me. "Umm." She said, looking around. "No. Just-Justin should go." She said, her voice trembled a bit. She pulled away from me but I held onto her. "Are you sure Abby? You don't wanna come with?" I asked, moving closer.

She backed up. "I'm sure." She said, with a harsh tone. Ha. Scary bitch. "Okay. Justin can come." I said. He looked between us but didn't say anything. "Alright lets go." Sally said. Then we were teleported to a dark room. The lights came on. I realized we were in a lab. I looked around and saw Annie and Bishop were with us. I'm glad the Magic Council brought them. Me too. "So Angel if you would please take off your clothes and lay up here please." Terry said. I looked at him and the silver table. "Take off my clothes?" I asked. I looked at my Dad. He nodded at me. "Uh Uh. Yeah no. I don't think so." I said. "Angel. It's completely safe." Sally said. "I'm not worried about getting hurt. I'm worried about all these men in here." I said.

"Angel, it's routine. We just wanna see how the Great Amulet settled in your DNA and how powerful you are." She said. I uncomfortably took off my shirt but put it back on. "I'm sorry. But can the guys leave?" I asked. "Angel please. The sooner this is over, the sooner you can put your clothes back on." He said. "Yeah besides, your only going down to your underwear. Nothing too bad." Sally said. I sighed and took off my shirt and shorts. I walked over to the table and climbed on it. It was really hard and cold. I closed my eyes and counted in my head. "Angel please open your eyes." Dominic said. I reluctantly did it. Sally presses some buttons and a machine turned on. It began to shine a light on me and scanned me up and down. The machine the stopped and went back to start position.

It was a few minutes before I asked, "Can I get dressed now?" I asked. Sally glanced at me and nodded. I quickly sat up and grabbed my clothes. Once they were on, I turned around to see Justin walking out a door. "What's wrong with Justin?" I asked. My Dad looked at me. "He's a... a little uncomfortable." He said, glaring at the door. I walked after him. "Angel wait." Kacey called but I didn't stop. I wanted to make sure Justin was okay. I saw him going into a bathroom and I ran in after him. "Um Justin." I said. He froze. He had his back to me. "Angel, please get out." He said. "But I wanted to make sure you were okay." I said. "I'm fine. Please get out." He said, harshly. I was hurt by him. I turned around and went out the door. He turned around and pushed me out the door aggressively.

My eyes welled up but I grew a pair and stopped them. I was not about to cry for him. I pushed open the doors to the room and stood by Dominic. "Is Justin okay?" Annie asked. "He's fine." I said, harshly. I was hurt by him. A few minutes later passed and Justin came in the room. I turned away from him. "Wow Angel." Terry said. "What?" I asked. "Looks like you are indeed powerful. Your power levels are off the charts." He said. "Okay. Are we done here?" I asked. "Not yet. We need to be able to see what you can do." Dominic said. "Yeah. It appears the Great Amulet has settled inside your heart. Well I'm not surprised. You have a pure one." Sally said. I crossed my arms. I was irritated. I just wanted to go home.

"Okay Angel. We're gonna have you show us your all that you can do." Terry said. "Like what?" I asked. He opened his mouth but was cut off by my phone ringing. "Hello?" I asked. "HEY BITCH!!!!" Yelled a voice. "KEISHA!!!!" I screamed in joy. I couldn't believe it. "Oh my God girl. How are you?" I asked. "Good. Girl I miss you so so so SO much." She said. "Oh my God. Keisha, we gotta link up." I said, smiling. "I know!!!! I'm actually visiting next month. Girl I can't wait." She said. "Aww. We gon catch up." I said. "Umm Angel." Bishop said. I looked at him. "Girl I gotta go. But we will talk later on." I said. "You better shit. Let me go make sure my lil brother gets his little badass from the girls out here. Girl he is a horny nigga." She said. "Aww. Tell my baby boy I said I miss him." I said. "Okay. Bye girl." She said. "Bye." I said, then I hung up.

"I hope we can back to business without any more interruptions." Sally said. "Oh sorry. That's my homegirl. I miss her so much. Daddy, I wanna go see Keisha. She said she coming down next month." I said. "You can. Now let's finish this." He said. "Yes. Angel, what we're gonna do now is try something." Dominic said. "Like what?" I asked. "You'll see." He said. "We're gonna let the rest of the group see this. This is something their gonna wanna see." Sally said, as she snapped his fingers. I don't like this.
