Summer Memories

The warm breeze hitting the chimes,

Blindfully flew away the time.

Cold glasses of ice and sweet lime,

Playing video games with partners of crime.

End of the break arrived,

Leaving us sad and dissatisfied.

Three months of heat we abide,

Air conditioned roof be the hide.

Gone are those days in shorts and vests,

Party nights at colorful fests.

Holidaying at home; the best,

With family and friends a galla time to jest.

Joy of floating in still pool,

Swimming till the water lost it cool.

The home's only period to rule,

Waking at midnoon with drool.

Vacation time had gone,

Back to school bus hits the horn.

Puddles and rains back in lawn,

Rainbows in sky being born.
