It Wasn't Worry

Altamash's POV

Sometimes I hated my job enough to contemplate the thought of flipping everything and just calling it quits. Especially when I was handling high profile cases that had way too much at stake. I really should take a break from work, pushing myself this hard was definitely going to make me get wrinkled and pruny way before I was supposed to.

Challenges were what I loved myself a good challenge. That was one of the reasons why I'd chosen law in the first place. But no matter how appealing dishing out justice and winning difficult cases was, I was aware that trying to become a hero was a fantasy that would be incredibly foolish of me to try to achieve.

It was a rule of the world that no matter what, you couldn't stop the darkness from growing. So I'd learned to embrace it and use it to my advantage. I'd learnt to hunt with the wolves so that I could beat them at their own game.
