The Little Monster Attacks Again

As soon as they arrived at the hotel, Arthur ordered Sinner to go home and if anything came up he would call him.

It would be strange if Sinner stayed at the hotel with them, as Arthur would rarely ask for help from anyone else.

After going up to their room and ordering breakfast at the hotel, Arthur and Thomas watched the cartoons that were playing on TV for a while.

Despite having a very grown-up mentality and ahead of his age, a pre-adolescent of 14, close to 15, still likes cartoons. Not to mention Thomas, who is only 13, also close to having his birthday.

When room service delivered the food, they finally started to devour everything. Arthur ate less than usual this time, because his body did not need a gigantic energy to regenerate itself.

As they ate, Arthur looked at Thomas a little and saw that his musculature was thinner than normal, and his face a little thinner too. His skin was good and his body was healthy, showing that he remembered Arthur's tip for eating right. But, even sitting still requires a healthy, strong body, this loss of muscle mass may affect Thomas in the future.

"You will start exercising with me tomorrow. You are getting very thin and this is bad for you. Sitting around studying for so long is good on one hand, but you must be balanced in everything in life." Still keeping an eye on the cartoons playing on the television, Arthur spoke in a calm tone. He also messed up Thomas' hair slightly.

Slapping Arthur's hand, Thomas spoke: "I don't want to go out in the morning with you. I need to sleep! When a child is developing, he needs enough rest to be able to grow!" His voice contained a proud tone, as if exercising was not something for children.

"First, stop reading incomplete articles about things you don't like! Second, exercise gives the brain great benefits. You will learn more in less time."

Thomas immediately got his eyes shining. He quickly nodded positively and said: "You leave 5:00 am, right ?? I'm going with you!"

'So he already knew the times I left, right? Clever as usual! ' Arthur was a little impressed by this, but he didn't ask Thomas anything..

After watching cartoons for a while, when they had finished breakfast, Thomas spoke to Arthur.

"Hey, lately I've been learning a little more about tracking and stuff. I decided to try with you, but I couldn't access anything from you, like your cell phone. They seemed to be inaccessible."

"I had hung up." Arthur smiled silly and hid the fact that his cell phone was in the Inventory.

"That is not the point. I tried to track you in other, simpler ways, like surveillance cameras, cell phones near you or even traffic light cameras. I was learning little by little and finally managed to find you. You were at that oldman's stand that took me to the hospital." Thomas's tone was more and more serious, something that was not normal for him.

Arthur thought this was strange too and he was getting worried. He was also hiding the internal shock he was feeling for Thomas's skills.

After giving a sigh, Thomas continued: "What I want to tell you is that I managed to locate something, I can't tell you who it belonged to. I just know he was paying attention to you at that time. It appeared to be a specialized tracking AI. I tried to find out more about it, but the cluster is too weak to handle the load, so I gave up on the hacking attempt for a moment. I haven't explored the opportunities yet, but I could check out what that was and maybe even take control of it."

When he finished speaking, Thomas looked at Arthur to see if he was saying anything about it. Since AI's attention was focused on Arthur, he could know what it is all about.

"Look, I don't know what can be! As soon as possible, I will find a bigger place for us to stay and we will increase the power of this cluster. At this point, you can try to do whatever you want." Arthur pretended to be thinking about what that might be and showed Thomas a calm and confused expression.

But he knew what it was about: The Eye.

The mercenary tracking system. As Gabriel (Shadow) warned, they were always paying attention.

He knew very well that if he gave Thomas time and power, this matter would be resolved easily, so he didn't worried too much. One goal became clear in his mind now: Take control of the Eye and hand that power over to Thomas.

A power in the hand of those who do not know how to use it only results in uselessness. But if given to anyone who knows how to use it properly, it can work miracles.

As brothers who have protected themselves since the moment they met, the problem of one would be a problem of both. A problem that Arthur does not solve would be solved by Thomas and the other way around too.

After everything was agreed, Thomas went back to the computer and went back to doing his own thing. Arthur went to his laptop and started researching some things about psychology and etc.

At first, as he wasn't very used to typing and etc, he was a little clumsy, but in a few minutes he was typing as fast as Thomas. And this is VERY fast. His Panmesia and muscular memory were imbued with his being now.

After two hours of research, Arthur came to some conclusions about the problem, but that could not be certified.

Adrenaline release only happens under stress or arousal situations, and Arthur's problem would certainly not fit into the second option. From that, he concluded that he was possibly in a time of stress. If combined with the feelings of the fight with Shadow, the stress was driven by anger.

In the middle of the research, Arthur also read about IED, which would be Intermittent Explosive Disorder.

'It may not be my case, but it sure was an irrational emotional lack of control. I've had some problems with anger, but it was never at that level.' Arthur kept thinking about things that might fit his situation.

After so much time researching, Arthur decided to complete his self-study. The result was a blind angry disorder, possibly involved with a trauma he doesn't know whether or not he has. He thought about trauma in the middle of the research, and it seemed plausible. It was a possibility, but not a certainty..

'The conclusion remains the same. Anger management. I can't let this take over me again. I don't want to go back to cigarettes, so I have to learn other ways. I'll wait until tonight, when I will train with Gabriel.'

As soon as he finished his research, Arthur turned off his notebook and lay down on the bed to relax. His head was with a headache since morning, more precisely from the moment he tried to use his skill on Hanna. But before he could close his eyes, Thomas's voice called out to him.

"Hey, Arthur, wake up! I didn't call you before because I was busy." Thomas stopped typing on the computer for a moment and turned his chair to look at Arthur.

After getting up, Arthur looked to Thomas and asked what had happened.

Thomas looked at Arthur and said: "This is it. I don't like spending your money, so I decided to do a little with my own skill. After tracking the origin of your card and gaining access to the account, I deposited all the money there. I'm just warning you." Thomas's tone of voice was calm and composed, his gaze with habitual childishness.

Arthur thought it was reasonable and said nothing. For now he would use the card that the Guild gave him. There were over 300 million there, so money was no problem.

That would also be good for Thomas's personal growth, so he wasn't against it. Since there was never anyone to hold them, freedom was always there.

But even so, Arthur still asked out of curiosity: "How much did you put there?"

"One million..."

...

"Okay, a million is not that mu- WAIT A LITTLE!! Did you say one million????" Shock instantly covered Arthur's face, almost choking with his own spit. He held Thomas's skills in high regard, but earning that amount in a week was a huge shock the same way.

"Stop screaming, freak! I just did some freelancer services." Thomas went back to doing his things on the computer and his voice was still calm, as if that million was nothing.

"Freelancer? Freelancer for whom? Microsoft? Apple? Sony? Only these companies to pay that much for a service!!"

"It was these. And some more too. In addition, I finished some programs during that last week and sent to some of them. They are trying out the free trial now, so in the next few days I may have an answer."

"But what th- Okay. I don't even know why I'm still impressed, honestly." Arthur initially intended to exalt himself, but he remembered that this was already normal for him. There was only a sense of pride in his chest now, so he let it go.

Since they were both in no condition before, this talent and skill of Thomas never fully awakened. But now he would go as far as he could, and Arthur would always be there to help him.

"Look, be careful on what you do. If you need help, you can talk to me. In addition, if these companies really stick with the programs you made, even a simple money transfer will be very complicated. I can give you my card while I set up an account for you that don't take too many transfer fees." Arthur blew out a breath and spoke to Thomas, while again ruffling his hair.

After they finished talking, Arthur stayed in bed watching some videos on his cell phone and Thomas did what he wanted on the computer. The sound of the turbines in the cluster was high and low the entire time.

They had lunch and at the end of the day, when it was 10 pm, the two went to sleep after a shower. The next day Thomas was going to do exercise with Arthur, so he fell asleep as soon as he touched his head to the pillow.
