After reaching the city, he didn't wait even for a second, before entering a ferry and leaving the planet for the moon.
He needed to leave this side of the cluster as soon as possible.
Even though, every database was totally corrupted. The same couldn't be said about people's memories.
That was also the reason, he wanted to leave the place as soon as possible.
After all, how long could a person remember a face?
He didn't know, and he didn't care.
If he was to ever return home, what would the Warsons say?
"Hmm! Since when did I care about Warsons?" Eden mumbled.
The only people he ever cared about were his stepmother, his little brother, and the twins.
As he was going through his memories suddenly, the ferry jerked and stopped.
Looking out he saw, they had already reached the moon.
Finally, getting out of the ferry, he directly entered the station.
Even till now, he hadn't toggled his luck back to hundreds. He wasn't willing to risk it.
And until he leaves this solar system, it was going to stay that way.
Once inside the star cruise, he got inside his booked room and didn't leave until it entered the hyperdrive.
....
The long trails of the stars which appeared on the glass surface when a ship entered through the hyperdrive, was just boring to watch.
However, right now looking at those trails, he actually felt alive. Or in simple terms, free.
He never thought, that someday he would actually be happy to see the same boring light trails.
Finally entering the lobby, he directly ordered an expensive drink. With one flick he paid for it, and started sipping from it.
Finally, after taking a few sips, he mentally toggled his luck back to hundred.
"Acting tough after winning," Eden smirked, "It actually feels quite awesome."
...
Elsewhere...
"One thousand war militia," a loud booming voice resonated, " and you could not catch one kid."
"Your Highness," a serious voice sound replied, "I don't know how! But it was almost like he expected you to give the order."
He continued, "It was almost like he knew our every move."
"Every move?" The king scoffed, "How can that be possible?"
"We don't have the answer. Your Highness."
"That kid turned the entire royal family, into a joke." The king replied, "If I don't get this traitor's head on a silver platter, I wouldn't feel right"
"Your Highness," the general replied, "If the association came to know about the order you have given, what do you think would happen?"
"Association." The king scoffed, "One day, I will make them pay."
"Your Highness," the general replied, "I would like to remind you, that we are in a fourth-rate star system."
The reply finally calmed the king down.
In rage, he had already forgotten about his status. In the entire galaxy, his power wasn't even worth anything. The reality was, even though he might be a king or A Supreme king, it was a title in a fourth-rate star system.
When compared to the other fourth-rate systems, there were only a few that were less powerful than this star system.
Turning around to leave, he harrumphed, "Then I want you to find this person's family."
"So what if he is a mechanic?" He continued, "Are all his family members, mechanics, too?"
"That could have worked your highness." The general replied, "But we don't know his last name."
"I only knew his first name, because that was written on the terminal." The general continued, "And there are trillions of subjects on the entire star cluster with the name Eden. How can we ever find one person among them? And if we started to go after every person with the same name, we will definitely spook the association."
The general answered in a fearful voice, "They definitely won't hesitate to take action."
"How will they ever find out?" The king scoffed, "No-one else is here?"
"Just like how he found out about the two slots already been taken." The general replied.
This time the king finally jerked, before fully calming down.
"Yes. You are right. I actually forgot about that." The king spoke in a serious voice. "Of course, we couldn't catch that traitor. He probably had already gotten the news"
"Father!" From the corner of the room the princess stood up, "I don't want to stay here."
"Daughter!" The Queen gasped, "But you have only just arrived."
Instead of taking her to stay, the king replied in a serious voice. "Have you made up your mind?"
"Yes, father." The princess continued, "I will return. I still haven't completed my University education. By that time I finish my study, everyone would have probably forgotten about today."
After thinking for a while, the king nodded.
"Very well, my daughter. I will tell everyone to prepare for your departure."
Bowing a bit, the princess left the place to get out of the system.
Looking at his own daughter, leaving the system the king felt sad. "General, I want you to totally destroy all the evidence of my daughter ever being here."
"I don't want any information that ties it back to her." He continued, "I am pretty sure, this event is only taken seriously by those in our own star system."
"Yes, Your Highness." The general replied, "As long as people aren't able to recall her again, memory won't last forever. After all, people change."
"That is the plan." The king replied, "This moment will forever be remembered as the dark moment of our life, where the entire royal family was turned into a laughing matter. And worst of all, the person who did this easily got away with it."
The king could only shake his head.
Then again with a bit of anger in his voice, he questioned, "What about that designer's son?"
"Fully taken care of," the general replied.
"GOOD." The king then continued, "Now even though I can't stop every soldier from returning back to our cluster's border, I want to assign you on the information network."
"Your only job is to find this shitbag, as discreetly as possible. "
"As you wish. Your highness."
...
"Yes, mom I am fine." Eden replied looking at the floating window in front of him, "But yes! I won't be coming back."
After hesitating a bit he continued, "Not soon at least."
"I still can't find the feed though." His stepmother replied. "Which is really strange."
"Probably because of how all it ended," Eden replied.
"The princess looked really beautiful." She replied, "I really wanted to take a picture, but I couldn't even find that."
"Who knows how many boosters she slammed on herself, also she has a very irritating personality."
"Don't wanna hear that from you. How could you curse the princess?" She questioned, "It's good that she forgave you."
"Alright, I don't wanna recall that moment. I am closing the call, bye."
"Bye-bye."
Click...
Finally, will a sound, the floating window disappeared, after which he laid on the bed.
"Forgive me?" Eden shook his head before finally closing his eyes, "Nah! that's never gonna happen."
