Too Nice

"Oh Seunwo!" Elaine exclaimed when she saw him exiting the hospital in his normal clothing with Kai. She greeted Kai too and the guy didn't even bother to hide his annoyed face when she came close to them.

And she thought it was normal since Kai doesn't really like a girl's presence but in reality he just dislike her.

"You're done with your shift?" She asked as bubbles float around her. Seunwo nodded with a small smile. Kai wanted to barf.

"Aw, lucky you. My shift is not over yet~ If you are done, who am I going to go for advice?" Elaine touched his arm.

"I'm sure they are other doctors who will guide you, Elaine."

"But I like you the most!"

"Are you done? We're in hurry." Kai cut her off and put his hands in his pocket suavely. Elaine swallowed as she made her signature sad face. Seunwo sighed and hit him slightly. 

"What?" Kai rolled his eyes.

"Be nice." He said and turned to the girl who looked like shes about to cry. 

He smiled warmly and pat her head.

"Go on in, you wouldn't want to be late." 

"Okay..." Elaine said all bubbly and flashed her teeth smile. 

"Ugh, she clearly oozes the aura of bad omens." Kai shuddered as the girl went inside the hospital. 

"Shes just a kid, Kai." Seunwo shook his head amused by his friend. Kai raised his eyebrows.

"A kid really? She's the same age as Leira." Kai said flatly.

"Right. Now that you said that, Elaine must have been a genius to join the internship early." Seunwo chuckled and unlocked his car. 

They were about to slid into the car when they heard a  familiar voice joined them. 

"Hello my doctor friends." The newcomer said as he casually open the car door and make himself comfortable in the car's back seat.

The two doctors froze.

"See I told you, Han. Bad friggin omen." Kai sighed and got into the car.

"Taejin please dispersed." Seunwo groaned.

A rare side of Seunwo appeared.

"How is your Leira? I want to see her. Please tell me you are still seeing her because if you're not, I'm stepping on the line." Taejin said with a teasing grin.

"Dude, get in line." Kai joked and bumped fist with the latter. Seunwo sighed.

"Unbelievable people, really."

"Lei be careful!" 

Hwiyun huffed as he pulled her back on the trail. They were taking pictures of the monuments and Lei had been too immersed by them, she nearly fell off the cliff.

"Oops. Thanks Hwi." She thanked while patting his cheek and went on looking around the place. She was so fascinated that she couldn't sit still and asked a lot of questions to the professor.

So far they had gathered some basic information about the mount and  Leira couldn't be more happy when the Professor offered to take them to multiple historic places in Indonesia throughout their stay.

"Lets go back to level 2 of the mountain. I forgot to show you guys something." He waved for the three friends to follow him.

"Careful with the steps,okay? Chae, kamu baik baik saja kan?" (Chae, Are you okay?)

"Energetic as ever, prof." Chae replied sarcastically.

"Don't worry, the stone you're about to see is worth to try." 

"Is it the blessing stone?" Leira asked interestedly and wrote something on her notebook before accidentally slipped but Hwiyun was quick to his hand, grabbing her bag so that she won't fall and made a domino effect.

"Look down when you're walking, Lara Croft." Hwiyun pinched her cheek and took her note book.

"Alright, alright." She winced as she rub her the unfortunate skin.

"Yes, the stone that blessed anyone who sit on it. So Chae, this is your lucky day." The prof joked.

"Cool, can I sit on that first?" Hwiyun offered himself. Chae stopped him right away.

"Haha, no."

When the dawn arrives, four of them safely went back down. Leira and Hwiyun thanked the prof and he went ahead. Hwiyoung remembered what the professer said when he slid into his car.

"Don't stay out here for too long. I wouldn't want you guys to get kidnapped by the ancients." 

"What?"

"I'm joking. But really, its better if you go back to the hotel now and take a shower. You wouldn't want to wake up in the middle of the night, standing alone here."

"You guys believe him?" Hwiyun asked as they waited for Dohyon. The male rented a car while the other three went on a historic tour.

"No. He said that the water up there never ends and asked us to wash our face with it." Chae blew her nails. Leira made a face at her.

"Well supposedly, it can brings you a mate. You wanted that right, honey?" Leira said teasingly nudging her. She stuck her tongue out at Leira.

"You wanted that too." Hwiyun chuckled.

 Leira laughed at that.

"Says the one who changes girlfriend every month."

"Because it's not the time yet." He replied easily. 

"Well-"

Snap

The sound of a branch snapped makes three of them turned to forest immediately.

"Did you guys hear that?" Chae asked.

"Suddenly I can't hear anything." Leira said facing in front again and starts playing with her phone.

"Its probably an animal. Time like this they usually go out and find food." Hwiyun said reassuring Chae who looked a bit fidgety.

Then, a honk make them jolt to surprise while cursing to the driver.

"Dohyon, I will fucking kill you, you piece of shit." Chae cursed and ran to the back passenger seat.

He chuckled evilly.

"Sorry I'm late, y'all. I got distracted."

"Its fine, Doh. Chae is just being a scaredy cat." Leira snickered. Hwiyun laughed with her.

"Alright, lets get food inside our system before Chae become a cat."

"You mean rat?" Dohyon said and winced when Chae's cold hand wrapped around his neck from behind.

"You guys are mean!"

"We love you bebe, don't worry." Leira send her a flying kiss.

Leira sighed as she slowly drag her body to the bed and finally throw herself on it. They had lounging around the pool in the hotel until midnight and she excused herself first to call it a day. With a long relieved sigh, she moved to wrap the comforter around her and finally,

She became a burrito.

Just as she wanted to fall asleep, her phone rang making her groan annoyedly. Contemplating to whether answer it or not, she unwrap herself to answer the call, worried that maybe its something important.

"Speak."

"Aw, did I wake you up?"

"Why is this voice familiar yet I can't use my brain to think but yes, yes you did." Leira said lazily. The caller laughed on the other side of the line.

"I'm your lovely older brother ."

"No you're not. My brother Wushin get straight to the point, Taejin." 

"What Taejin-"

"Lovely Taejin."

"Exactly. What is this betrayal you're doing? I finished my tour and you went away?" Taejin asked making Leira chuckled lightly.

"Whoops. Sorry, Mr pop star. I'll come back in a month."

"A month?" He balked.

"Yah Han Seunwo-"

"Oh, you're with him? Say hi for me." She said as she stood up and walked to the window . She felt her eyes blessed as the night scene came to her view.

"She said Hi." Taejin said flatly at her boyfriend and Kai had to snort. He put the phone on the table and put it on speaker.

"You're on speaker, Lei."

"Hi to you too Leilei!" Kai said in the background.

Leira laughed.

Seunwo broke into a smile when he heard her laugh.

"Hi, rich doc." She said.

"Its 2am there, why are you guys still awake? The doctors, I mean. I don't care about the pop star."

"Indonesia's air making miss Leira all mean." Taejin sulked.

"Our next shift is at 5pm tomorrow so its alright." Kai assured.

"I want to sleep but this pop star wouldn't let me." Seunwo said giving a side eye at Taejin.

Leira chuckled.

"Poor Seunseun. But its a good thing that pop star is there with you I guess. Its like he brings out the rare you."

Kai smirked at the latter who was slowly drifting to sleep. His bangs had covered his eyes, they can't tell whether his asleep or not. 

"I have a name, Leira-sshi. Anyways, I called you for something else." Taejin pressed and took the phone to his ears.

"What is it?"

"I miss you."

Kai broke into a loud laugh making Seunwo jolt awake and groaned as he still can't get to his bed to sleep.

"What now?"

"Your bestfriend just said I miss you to your girl."

"Let me sleep please."
