Let The Games Begin.

*****Eric's POV *****

"mother you here?" I said raising a brow skeptically.

"Hello to you too, son. I am so happy the you agree for your father and I to stay with you both. We only here for a few day whilst our house is under construction. We were gonna stay at a hotel but we got a all from Violet and she invited us over."

"Oh, so she did. How thoughtful of her." I said with my hands in a fist behind my back, where my nails were literally digging into my skin due to my tight hold.

Violet stood behind my mother giving me a smug look," I have to take my leave and sort out a few errands. If you need anything please let me know." She said and drew my mother into a hug.

She left making her way up the stairs. I grabbed her hand halfway through the staircase," What the hell do you think you are doing?!"

"Teaching you a lesson." Her eyes were burning holes straight through my head.

"Care to share what this idiotic lesson is?" I asked frustratedly.

"I am trying to teach you not to underestimate me. You rodent! " she yelled.

"Excuse me, did you honestly just call me a rodent?" I asked her raising a brow.

"Oh, I am sorry. I didn't realize it was an insult to rodents!"

"Violet this is low even for you. You invited the one person I cannot stand to live under the same roof as me!" I yelled as my anger was reaching it's peak, making it impossible to control. I pushed her roughly against the wall and slammed my fist onto the wall right next to her,"You are playing with fire Violet!"

"You." She said poking my chest with her index finger," You started the fire, I am just fueling it." She said whilst shoving me away from her. Her dark brown eyes looked into mine but I didn't see anger, I saw sadness and hurt hidden within. I didn't question her further. I let her walk away.

She is tricking me. It's all probably an act. There is no difference between her and... They are all the same. She poked the bear with a stick so she deserves a fitting reply.

let the games begin.

"Can you believe her? She actually called dear old dad." I said as I lifted my glass of bourbon to my lips.

"That's harsh." Said Reece who was sitting next to me.

"I need to get back at her. I need to expose her true colors." I said .

"Okay, that is where I draw the line, Iago. Has it ever occurred to you that she is not acting and that maybe, just maybe she is genuinely nice?" I raised a brow at the childish name calling which happened to be absurd. Just as I was about to reply to his question he cut me off, "I know you were hurt before by a cunning manipulative crone but Eric not all woman are like that. You need to learn to trust Violet."

"I have an idea on how I can make her regret her move." I said.

"Eric did you not just listen to a single word I had said?" He asked whilst shaking his head at me.

"Yes I did, she's acting and that she's not really nice. Also that she is a cunning manipulative crone, who I cannot trust." I replied to him.

"Did you literally just repeat the exact opposite of everything I had just said?" He asked in amusement, " My dear brother, you need help." He said whilst tapping his hand on my shoulder.

***** Violet's POV *****

"What happened to Wheezy? She wasn't here all day?" I asked Sophie curiously As we stood by her desk.

"I heard she got fired." Said Sof.

"Fired?! Wow, I wonder which slut is going to replace her?" Just before Sophie could reply, Eric came out his office capturing everyone's attention.

"As you may have already noticed Miss Hall's absents, I would like to clarify that she has been transferred to another branch. I would also like to announce her replacement, Miss Quaters. You will start fill on tomorrow. You all are dismissed." He said. Everyone excitedly got up and left the building, yet I still remained there shocked out of my mind.
