****** Violet's POV *****
Working for that bastard was an actual nightmare. He piles me up with so much work. I actually have to leave at 11pm and wake up at 5am everyday, just to drive to the other side of the freakin' city to get him these ridiculously terrible coffee and donuts that for some odd reason he likes.
I was currently in the middle of one of the most boring meetings I have ever attended. It literally made you want to commit suicide on the spot. I mean I had Gandalf on one side and a live version of Voldemort on the other side, not forgetting the lady right across me with a permanent serial killer face. Everyone else looked like zombies from 'The Walking Dead'. I took a deep breath and tried to focus.
Ah, the lovely smell of my youth decaying.

"Hey, today is your parents last day at home so... I though it would be nice if you were actually home for supper ." I said to him as I held the glass door of his office at home, "And I am sorry, I ambushed you. It was wrong of me. I just got overwhelmed and upset that I was losing control of my life so one impulsive decision create false reassurance and now here we are." I said to him sincerely.
"Thank you for the explanation and apology, Violet... but you will still remain as my PA." He said whilst skimming through papers.
"Worth a short," I laughed," but I hope you still come for supper. Your mum is making lamb roast with wedges ,butternut and her famous gravy." I said and low key sung the end of the sentence.
" Are you trying to bribe me with food?" He asked with a raised eyebrow as he look up from his papers at me.
"Yes, is it working?" I asked hopefully.
"okay fine, I will come." He said caving .
I smiled walking to the kitchen to help Elisa with the food.

" Oh Elisa this Roast is truly divine." I said in am attempt to break the awkward silence.
" Thank you dear. I am really happy to see you and Eric here, joining us for supper." She said happily.
"Thank you Violet for hosting us." Said Eric's father who was smiling at me.
"It was our pleasure to have you both over Gabriel." I smiled back at him whilst kicking a frowning Eric under the table, indicating that he should smile as well.
The night continued with a little conversation here and there. I luckily managed to shut down 3 almost arguments between Eric and his father, Gabriel.
"Before we forget, your father and I paid for a honeymoon trip since you both never have one after you both's wedding. So here you go." Said Elisa handing us an envelope that contained important papers , the plane tickets and an itinerary.
"Mum we—" started Eric.
" Nonsense, we expect you both to go. I have already planned everything so if the plan isn't fulfilled I will know it, I have set eyes everywhere darlings. Don't disobey me." She said sternly.
that was not creepy at all...
We both reluctantly agreed since we knew there was no point in arguing with her.

This man has officially driven me off the edge. I can't believe him, every time I think we are having a moment and are becoming friends he just reverts back to his stone cold self.
I walked into his office and placed a present on his desk in front of him, " Here is a little something for you ."
"why?" He asked.
"Ah...because." He gave me a suspicious look and unwrapped his present.
"Really? Pads?" He said slightly amused.
"Yeah, I realized it was your time of the month. You know what they say, us girls got to stick together." I teased him.
"Violet. Shut up and get back to work." He said in a bit of a tired voice so I turned on my heels and was almost out the door but his loud deep voice summoned me back," I forgot to tell you that we will be having guests over. Cora Smith and her little brother Alex will be staying with us so you are required to entertain them. I have a business contact that I need miss Smith to agree on, she recently began taking over her father's company. While we are discussing business you must take care of Alex." I gave him a forced smile and left his office.
You know that moment when you have to smile and function, like a normal person but you dying inside- Yeah, well that's me right now.
Ah, the joys of adulthood, working and all.
