"If you keep going down that road you'll run into a town where you can restock and catch a bit of shut eye." Said a man pointing down a decently sized road.
Shar gave a small wave as Gypsy started off on a jog.
...
"Let's do that again!"
"No, I'd rather not." I say
"Hm? But we barely do anything~."
"Ha~, ok, how about something less... troublesome."
"Sounds good to me!"
"But first I'd like lay down and get dome rest as unlike you I don't have an endless amount of energy."
"Ok!"
...
"So what are we doing this time?"
"Another subjugation."
"For?"
"Goblins"
"As long as we don't have to travel up that hill again I'm fine with anything."
"No, we don't. It's actually a bit south of hear. Goblins apparently set up camp outside a town and they've been killing the very few live stock they have. Not only that but they've also killed two people. Thankfully it seems that no women have been kidnapped, I would not wish the role of breeder for the goblins on anyone."
"Huh"
Thankfully their was no set time limit so we spent our last day in town traveling down as many streets as possible before heading off to sleep.
...
When I woke up I was greeted with Sharla's signature clingy nature. It took a great deal of shaking for her to finally wake up.
We then got dressed and went downstairs to eat breakfast. I of course had my favorite of bacon, eggs, toast and a bit of coffee. Sharla usually got the same with the exception of having strawberry jam on her toast.
With breakfast eaten it was time to head off.
...
Thankfully the ride there was only a day and a half ride if on horseback so by the time it was sundown we were very close.
...
"So how many goblins to you think there are."
"Seeing as they haven't done any massive damage or kidnapped any women yet there must only be a few."
"Why so?"
"Because they are fundamentally weaker than us so they can't do much one on one. So they over come that by traveling in large packs or groups. If they haven't done much damage or taken at least one woman then that means they aren't confident in their numbers. Even with almost zero intelligence they have good instincts. And a predator knows when to and when not to strike."
"Huh"
...
It was only a while later when I spotted a large amount of smoke billowing from the direction we were headed in. I immediately sped up and we arrived just an hour later.
When we arrived we were greeted with an extremely grotesque sight. Organs were strewn about the large wooden walls that surrounded the village. I could hear Sharla start to gag from behind and decided to travel a good ways back up the road.
"It's ok, you can let it all out." I was comforting the bent over Sharla who was on the verge of puking. Even though she had seen killing and even done it herself she was not used to overly gory things.
"Ok, you stay here and watch Gypsy and I will go scout."
Just as I went to leave I felt a hand on my wrist.
"Fufu, do you think I would get captured by ugly green things with not even a quarter of my power and are as small as children," she tilts her head down dejectedly before I continue, "plus I'm only going to scout I could probably face a lot of them but if I were to be swarmed by hundreds of them I don't think my chances are the best so I'll scout and we can go back to the capital and enlist some help."
She finally shakes her head in approval and I transform into my wolf form which actually provides me with a bit of camouflage. A while later I get up close to the wall. At the top there are sharp points that were carved into the hard wood. On every other point there is a head of what I assume are the heads of the villagers and any unfortunate travel that had happened to be passing by at the time. What confused me the most was how goblins could even do anything this close to the capital, which means they either took the town by surprise leaving no time to prepare or they had help.
I stepped a few paces back before charging towards the wall, jumping only when I was just a little ways away from the wall. Just barely missing the spikes I landed on the other side, quickly I lay on my stomach as I spot a pair of goblins patrolling the streets. After they left I once again jumped this time on top of the closest building. I traveled along in this way for a long while, observing their actions.
Everything was so weird, they goblins would patrol regularly and they acted as if it were an army more than a large group of beasts. That in itself confirmed it, someone had to be helping these creatures.
Note: so next chapter should be out in a while do expect that at dome point. If theirs time I'll write another chapter today.
That's all I have to say for now so byyyyyyyyyeeeeeee
