Act 7

The unconscious bodies of the girls dropped to the floor. Though Yue XiFeng did a number on them, they were not mortally wounded. Nevertheless, the sight of three limpid girls that were stuck to the ground caused the surrounding students to shake in fear, seeing the aloof beauty in a new light.

'A monster.'

They silently whispered the name around upon seeing the beauty still had a grin on her face.

'A psychopath.'

They called her seeing her indifferent expression when beating the girls black and blue.

Yue XiFeng turned her head to face the gossiping students, her smile dropping from her face, a deep frown replacing it.

"I am a monster?" She asked, cocking her head to the side in confusion before pointing her index finger towards the crowd.

"If I am a monster, then the you who are gossiping about the poor monster that received prejudice, what are you?" She asked in a sincere tone.

Time in the room seemingly stood still as they took time to process her words. It was indeed true that she received injustice, but she was the one who chose to do nothing about it for three whole years. This fact caused them to ask the same question,

'So who is the actual victim?'

That is, alongside the fact that they realized they were gossiping about someone who had been slandered for no apparent reason, causing them to feel dreadful about it.

Knowing that she had convinced the crowd, the playful smile returned to her lips whilst she turned to face Lian Ji who was busy typing on her phone, "Done yet?" she asked with a slightly bored expression.

"Wait a sec," creasing her eyebrows Lian Ji responded as quickly as her fingers that swiftly typed on the phone. Relaxing her tensed body, she blatantly sat on her chair as her creasing brows started to lift, exchanged by a tongue that stuck out, before... "Done!" Lian Ji exclaimed with her roguish grin, confounding the nearby students.

The two were indeed well-matched with one another, as one was cold, indifferent, and unpredictable while the other was cheeky, optimistic, understanding, and bright. Plus, the two understood one another, though it was mostly Lian Ji trying not to anger Yue XiFeng.

Lian Ji walked closer towards her friend whose back was leaning against the wall and gave the phone for her to see.

The bright screen flashed words that were in all caps and bold,

'Evidence of female student from XXX highschool colluding with hoodlums to conduct illegal activities.'

was what it said as numerous 'evidence' were placed underneath it, with a lengthy article about when, what time, where, and a dissection of the photos.

Yue XiFeng widened her eyes in amusement as she finally saw her friend's capable side that she rarely exhibits.

She patted her back and laughed with her captivating grin while raising thumbs in acknowledgment.

Who cares where she got all of these 'pieces of evidence', as what she only cared about was ruining the reputation of those senseless female students.

Slander? She was used to it.

Mockery? Same answer as before.

Contempt? Very frequent.

But attempted violence? Hah, how foolish of them to even dare to, as she was able to tolerate anything but that.

The sound of a beep echoed through the room and multiple students turned on their vibrating phones simultaneously as the reason why their phone buzzed caused their eyes to widen in shock.

Yue XiFeng pat Lian Ji's head as the latter was 5.2 ft tall, nearly half a feet shorter than her. For that reason, Yue XiFeng enjoyed patting her head as she wasn't able to do so in her previous life because everyone was taller than her, making it seem uncanny.

"Did you hack their phones?" Yue XiFeng asked as she scrolled through Lian Ji's phone.

The latter shook her head as she busted a grin, "Not only theirs, the phone of their parents and teachers as well!" She said, indicating that the violent thing she's currently doing is being known and justified as an act of 'self-defense'.

Yue XiFeng was slightly astonished by Lian Ji, as she was the perfect definition of a wolf in sheep's clothing, knowing how to act well in front of others. That is, except herself, of course, she knew her far too well to be deceived by her antics.

Upon reading the article, Tthe students who looked at the unconscious girl with glimpses of pity, slowly turned to indifference as they ascertained what Yue XiFeng did was justified. Inside their phones, a lengthy article was written in the school forums and was strangely forwarded by numerous students, causing it to seem more believable. Especially since there were so many photographic 'evidence' attached to it.

Due to this, many of them leaned towards Yue XiFeng as they felt what the girls did was unjustifiable, as they knew who had spread those nasty rumors about her.

Sympathetic gazes dispersed one after another as they all stood still, no longer whispering about the assailant, but rather, the sufferer.
