Chapter 23

" Tch annoying bastard. " Ladros muttered as he walked through the forest.

' I swear someday I will beat his ass and then everyone will praise me for doing so. Even he will bow down to me! '

Ladros thought as he daydreamed.

Seeing himself beating Elden in a spar as he is hoisted up by the other members of the squad and is praised for his power.

Then getting the position as captain as Elden becomes his subordinate while praising him.

' That would be the life. '

Ladros continued to day dream as he kept walking.

Above him the trees started to shake as you could see shadows move from tree to tree.

' So those are the spiders. ' Ladros thought as he looked up. He saw the shadows looking over head.

' They have surrounded me. Probably trying to make sure i don't escape and become their food. Let's see what they can do. ' Ladros thought as he smirked.

Ladros jumped back as he dodged something aimed at him.

' Webs. '

Ladros dodged the spiders webs as they stuck to the floor and the trees around him.

' They want more grpund to cover. I'll collect threads from the nest instead. Right now it's time to burn some bugs. '

Creating fire from his hands he added it to the web's. The fire burned across the web's as they spread fast.

Soon screams from the spiders were heard as the spiders fell from the trees.

They sprawled on the ground trying to remove the fire but it wants necessary as they were cut in half.

' Good they are dead. Let's not waste the fire through. '

Ladros absorbed the fire as he walked further into the forest.

Along the way Ladros absorbed the mana in the air, a trick he learned from Elden from his explanation and him using Ladros as a lab rat.

'Tch he gave me a useful trick but at the same time he watched me from behind a glass wall. ' A tick formed on his head at the thought.

Walking for a little while longer Ladros found the nest after following the other spiders while leaving their burnt bodies behind.

Looking at the nest he saw many spiders living their as well as the leader of the spiders.

' She's huge! ' Ladros thought as he looked at her size comparing it to the other spiders and her eggs.

Ladros looked at her and his urge to fight kicked in.

If Fana and Mars were here they would have stopped him from doing something this stupid, unfortunately...

' Time to hunt. ' Ladros thought with a giant grin on his face.

Adding mana to his body he launched himself forward to the queen with a punch.

The queen noticed and jumped out of the way as Ladros punch hit the earth, creating a spider web cracks on the ground.

" Have to avoid getting the threads broken but killing you will be fun. " Ladros said as he looked at the queen.

The queen screeched at him as many spiders come and attacked Ladros.

Ladros grin widened as he watched them come at him.

' Not yet.. '

The spiders come closer.

' Not yet... '

The spiders closed in as they jumped at Ladros, fangs open with venom dripping from them as they got ready to savour their prey.

' Now. '

Ladros mana flared out of him as orange flames came out. The flames became tendrils of fire as they attacked each of the spiders, slicing through them and setting their bodies on fire.

" Hahhahahahahahah... " Laughed Ladros as he killed more and more spiders.

After many loses against Eldne being able to dominate weaker foes was just what the doctor ordered.

Ladros then looked at the queen who screeched before rushing at him. Ladros noticed as a large grin took over his face.

Ladros jumped back as the queens leg hit the earth causing a massive crator.

" That's pretty cool. Don't disappoint me!! "

Ladros rushed at her aiming a punch to the age as the queen jumped onto the web's above.

Opening her mouth she sent blobs of poison at Ladros who dodged each of them.

Ladros grinned as he swiped his hand. A large arc of mana rushed at the queen who narrowly dodged the attack as it cut through the web's she stood on.

She looked back at Ladros but saw he was missing.

* Bam. *

Her head body flew back as pain erupted from the wound underneath her mouth and blood poured out.

Ladros arm was stretched out as his grin was still present. As the queen straightened herself out onto her webs.

Quickly searching for Ladros she could my find him until she felt more pain coming from her head.

Ladros appeared on top of her and delivered a punch to her skull, breaking through as blood poured out.

The queen screeched at the pain as Ladros laughed before delivering the finishing blow to her open brain.

The queen screeched before she finally died and fill to the ground dead.

" HaaHaaaaaHaaa... " Ladros breathed in and out as he regained his breath from his laughter.

" That wa so much fun!! I should do this more often! " He yelled.
