Another Cat?!

Chapter 51

Adam

Meow-meow, Little buddy was pressing his paws on the window, he turned his head toward me, meow-meow

I'm pretty sure it meant, let me out hooman, I want to go outside, or something in cat language.

So I opened the window and let him slip out, knowing he would come back eventually.

Little buddy

Ahh, it feels nice to be outside and about.

Walking along the streets and minding my own business, I saw a pretty white cat, the cat was meowing and asking for help because her paw was stuck in the bark of a tree.

Walking over to where she was, "Well hello there. Do you need help?"

She peered up at me, "Yes, please, mister."

"Okay, hold still. This will take a minute."

Leaning towards the tree, I scratched off the bark, freeing her dainty, snowy paw.

She bowed her head at me, "Thank you very much for your help. My name is Snow."

"You are very welcome, I'm Little Buddy."

Snow peered at me, "Little Buddy? What a peculiar name.

I waved my paw around the air, "My humans named me that."

"Oh, you have an owner? That's nice, I wonder what this is like," she sighed mournfully, "I've never had an owner."

My ears perked up, "Why don't you come to my owner's home with me? I'd bet they would be willing to have you there."

Snow looked at me, "Are you sure? Would they really want another cat?"

Well, they were nice people, so maybe, "Yeah, probably."

The pretty white cat in front of me thought about it for a second, "Okay, I'll come with you, Little Buddy."

"Great, let's go then. It is only a short 15-minute walk from here."

Snow followed me to the place where I called home. I jumped onto the window and pushed it open, "Owner, owner, I've brought a guest. Isn't she pretty?"

The said guest licked her paw and looked away from me, aww, someone was shy.

One of my owners walked out of his room, "What's this? Another cat?"

"Yes, yes, this is my friend Snow, she needs a home," I'm pretty sure my owner didn't understand me, but what can you do? Humans are humans, cats are cats.

I walked over to my owner's pant leg and tugged with my paws in the direction of Snow.

He looked down at me with furrowed eyebrows, then those said eyebrows shot up, "Oh, is this a lady friend, Little Buddy? She has no collar so I assume you brought her here to help her?"

Meh, close enough, "Yes, human. She is my friend. Can she stay?"

My human sighed, "I'll have to ask Avery if your little friend can stay."

Oh yeah, Avery is my other owner in case you were wondering, surprisingly, she acts much more like a male than Adam here. And her chest is a great place to sleep, not bumpy at all, it felt like a soft warm mat.

Snow nudged me, "Do you think they will let me stay?"

"I don't know, they will probably let you stay, my owners are very kind."

She nodded her head, "Alright, if you say so."

"Don't worry about it, Snow. Come on, I'll show you around my home."

I showed her the kitchen, the door to the storage room, my owners have now locked it, the room with the tv and couch, the bathroom, the litter box, food and water bowl, and both my owner's rooms.

"Wow, this is a nice home." Snow's tail lashed around gracefully.

I nodded, "Yes, my owners take great care of me, this will be a very good home for you if they agree."

Snow laid down and licked her paw, "Yes, this would be a really good home. I really hope they let me stay."

After a few hours of talking with Snow, both my owners came into the room we were in.

Adam pointed at us, "There, see, Little Buddy has a friend over, I think he wants her to stay with us."

Avery, my other owner, walked over toward us, "Huh, she's so cute and fluffy. This cat kinda reminds me of snow. Does she have an owner or is she a tray?"

I jumped off the couch and landed at my owner's feet, "Yes, she is a stray. She wants a home with us."

Avery leaned down and picked me up, cradling me to her chest, "Is she your friend Little Buddy?"

Trying to wiggle out of her arms, "Yes, she is my friend. Now, can she stay or not, human?"

From Avery's perspective:

"Meow meow meow meow meow."

...What the heck does that mean? Uhh, I'm going to take that as a yes.

Little Buddy

She gently let me down onto the floor and patted my head.

My male owner asked Avery, "I think Little Buddy wants us to keep her. He could use a friend when we're at school to keep him company. Come one, Avery, he needs a friend with his or he'll get lonely. Plus, look how cute that cat is. I already thought of a name for her, Snow, since her fur reminds you of it."

My female owner sighed, "Alright, alright, fine. We can keep her.

Snow purred in happiness, jumping down from the couch and snuggling through both my owner's legs and I did the same.

That night, my owners went out and bought Snow a leash, collar, cat bed, food bowl, water bowl, more cat food, treats, more cat litter, and a cage.

She was so happy to have not one but two owners.

When we finally went to bed, long after my owners had said goodnight to us, Snow slept in my bed, purring.

I snuggled beside her and drift off a few minutes later.

And thus, ended my day.
