Freedom

She stood at the edge, gazing longingly after the birds flying towards the horizon. She wished she could be as free as them. She didn't want to be tied down.

She looked down.

Noise was the only thing she could hear, watching as the millions of cars drove past her unknowingly. Grey fumes were slightly visible in the air, and she was afraid of inhaling the nasty stuff.

She exhaled and saw her breath come out as a white puff in the misty weather. This would all be forgotten if she wanted it to. She took a deep breath, lifted one foot, and swayed forward.

She didn't remember the wind whooshing past her or the people on the streets pointing and screaming as they looked up. All she remembered w– silence.
