After Amariyah and Niah discovered their similarities, Niah became more involved with her new group of friends. She even became friends with Ria. Anne was friends with everyone aswell, but she wasn't as close to them as Niah was. Amariyah was in a happy place. She still had her issues but when she was with her friends the rest of the world didn't matter.
Back in 2017, Amina had another baby boy and named him Kyreese. Amariyah loved both of her brothers so much, but we all know that younger siblings are really annoying. So when she went to school that's how she would escape. And then she had to start taking Kyerowe to school. He would irritate her so much that she hated the journey to and from school with her brother. On the bright side she had Nicki with her to socialise and blank out her brothers annoyance. After a while it would be Amariyah, Nicki and Charlotte on the bus on the way to school.
One day, in drama the students were told to get into groups of 4. Of course Amariyah was going to partner up with Tiah, and then Niah and Anne asked if they all could be a group. Together they were phenomenal, and their drama pieces were super effective. They could easily get into character and portray their piece.
Everyday after school, Amina would take Amariyah to her grandads house. It was Amariyah's dads dad. Even though Malcolm wasn't in Amariyah's life, Amina still wanted her to have a relationship with her family. Amariyah's bond with her grandad was absolutely beautiful. Even though they were blood related, they were best friends. He would pick her somedays and just take her to the nearest supermarket. Amariyah live him so much that she classed him as her own dad. She always said when she was getting married, she wants her grandad to walk her down the isle. Her friends would ask her to hang out, but Amariyah always felt it was right to hang out with her grandad instead.
In school and at home, Amariyah was two different people. She was more happier in school; she saw school her escape even when she wanted to go home. Sometimes she felt like she was trapped when she was at home, her mom would say "you're a child! How hard could life possibly be for you?". Amariyah was always respectful to her mother, but she could easily get irritated and angry. Some would say she has anger issues. She just always said she had a short temper.
Going to secondary really toughened Amariyah. Being bullied through primary school was hard yet she didn't say much. Even being bullied in year 7 was hard, but she had learnt that violence wasn't always the way to handle things. On the other hand, she wasn't able to speak when it came to certain situations so the easiest thing for her to do was hit people.
