Snow!
were supposed to ride a Mamoswine when the climate on Route 17 is extreme, but it seems like it was sunny, so the path is actually walkable!
we're walking on a sunny day, the sun felt warm and the cold is barely felt! even the snow starts melting! but there are no people walking through here... man, it could have been better if there are more people walking around here...
"you're right... there is no heavy snow" Alex appointed
"see i told you!" i said to Alex happily
"it's warm too!" Max added happily as he jumped around the snow right in front of us. it was quite deep, around my entire feet.
"Careful, you might fall" i said to Max
"it's fine, it's soft after all!" Max replied as he falls on the snow intentionally, he landed with a soft thud and a bunch of snow flies by his fall. he went in quite deep! to the point where i only saw his spike from his chest and his Muzzle!
then Max laughed at the snow while i giggled in joy.
then i came up to him with Alex looking down at Max smiling.
"come on, let's move" i said to him, he smiles and jumped out of the ground leaving a figure of him at the snow he landed.
"sure Justin!" Max said as he continues to walk on the path.
then we continued walking towards Anistar city.

it's been quite a while, but nothing changed really. we kept walking and talking...
till to the point that...
it's getting colder?
as i stopped walking and looked at the sky, there is snowflakes started to fall.
"what?" i mumbled as i looked at it falling, then the rest stops and turns around to look at me.
then all of the snowflakes suddenly flies in another direction... it's getting stronger to the point that it felt like a wind...
i looked at what's in front of us and...
the wind is heading west...
our location is at the east...
we're fighting against the wind!
i looked at east and she a huge storm coming our way!
"uh, Guys!" i yelled as my friends looked at the storm coming straight towards us!
"What is that?" Max said in confusion
"you said there won't be a Blizzard!" Alex yelled at me as the wind started to blow through my ears, making listening more harder
"what blizzard?!" Max yelled.
my eyes widened as the storm suddenly blows me in the opposite direction in a powerful force! i stayed at my position and a great cold starts to hurt my body temperature.
i block my eyes with my elbow as the incredible storm hit's us...
then it suddenly... ease?
i opened a lowered elbow to see Alex blocking the wind right in front of me with protect!
"Max! get behind me!" he yelled as he stayed still with the screen blocking the snow and wind.
Max looked at max and runs behind him, then Max stands beside me.
"what do we do now?!" Max Yelled at me, the wind still blows through my ears making hearing difficult.
"We need to move forward!" i yelled in the storm, Alex looks at me and nodded.
then step by step... we walk forward towards the next and nearest city...
it's...
very cold...
i hope Alex could hold this long...
we never practiced about handling cold!
this is bad...

i never thought a Blizzard would appear out of nowhere... how is this possible?!
i started to shiver as the cold cool my body too much...
Max suddenly hugged me...

"thanks" i said almost not heard, Max smiled and nods to thank...
then i looked at Alex with his determined face as he pushes forwards against the never-ending storm...
he can't hold it for that long...

i closed my eyes as my tears instantly froze on my face...
this is too much...
then suddenly the wind blows me very hard! i almost fell if it weren't for Max who holds me from falling!
then shrapnel of ice started hitting me.
i opened my eyes to see Alex kneeling and the shield very small!
"Alex!" i yelled as Curtana's Pokeball opened, Curtana hovers right in front of Alex and quickly use Kings shield too block the storm, and Alex shield disappears as he falls on the thick snow!
"Alex!" i yelled with my heart dropped
i quickly grabbed him a look at him... he is wincing in pain and seemed to be fatigued!
"Alex!" i yelled again, hoping for a response...
then his eyes opened...
"I'm... cold..." he said with a slow response...
he is in a critical state!
"Alex! hold on!" i said as i picked him up, with pain through my arms and legs. i felt numbness in my arms...
Max yelled at Alex but i didn't hear him...
"We... need to move!" i yelled as i stepped forward, Curtana slowly hovers forward with the screen shield protecting us...
Max walked ahead of me and through Curtanas shield as he looks around...
he doesn't seem to be affected by the Blizzard...
hang on...
we're getting closer...

my body started to feel warm as Curtana's shield managed to hold the cold... and Max walks beside us to keep us warm too with his aura... he just learned that midway... and i see that Alex starts to feel comfortable... we might be able to make it!
"WHOOOSH!"
A sudden strong wind with hail started to hit Curtana!
then a giant ice hit's Curtana from above!
the shield disappeared and the cold stormed us!
i quickly kneeled with Alex still at my arm, then Curtana falls down on the snow!
but luckily the hail stopped.
"Curtana!" i yelled at him...
he's not moving...
"return!" i yelled again as i returned him...
after i returned him...
i looked at Alex...
he opened his eyes and looks at me, Max then kneeled beside me...
"it's okay... were going to make it!" i hopelessly yelled...
"Justin..." Alex said to me... with telepathy only...
"huh?!" i replied...
"at least... I'm not alone..." he said as his body limps on my arms...
"ALEX!" i yelled again...
"W-Wake up!" Max worriedly say as he shakes his body...

we can't...
wait...
but he can!
i quickly looked at Max and handed Alex and the rest of my friends Pokeball too him...
"Max! carry Alex and the others... and find a shelter" i yelled as the snow hit's me
"W-What about you!?" Max said as he carries Alex,
"Just leave me! I'll catch up... but..." i paused in the storm...
"if i didn't find you... just... find another trainer... make sure he... or she takes care of you nicely... okay?" i said my order to Max...
"J-Justin?" he said my name...
"just go!" i yelled one last time...
with great understatement...
Max stands up and quickly runs towards the south...

i started following him...
but he disappears into the snow after that...
then i walk towards the south...
each step i take...
it's almost to slow...
the pain started to feel in my legs...
i feel tired...
almost my entire body felt numb...

my legs can't take it anymore...

i fall down on the cold yet soft snow...
my body almost went unconscious...
with my last strength...
i turned my self to look up...
and...
i see...
a huge shadow in the storm...
then my head falls to the side as my neck can't support it anymore...
and two figure walks towards me...

Max kept running...
with his entire friends on his arms...
but not entirely...
after he runs for a while...
he saw the place what i wanted...
a cave...
a shelter...
Max enters the cave and places down Alex and the pokeballs containing his friends...
he looks at the outside of the storm...
only seeing nothing but snow...
the Blizzard separates us...
he looks at Alex who is still unconscious then quickly runs out of the cave...
he looked at a tree with the Blizzard almost made the tree leave less...
then he summoned a bone staff...
and he cuts the tree cleanly!
the tree falls down and the branches crack as it hits the snow...
Max quickly unsummons the bone and quickly grabs a pile of branches...
Then Max runs back to the cave, after he went in taking cover from the storm again, he drops the branches near Alex and tries to lit it up with his Aura...
Max releases some aura from his palm to the pile of branches...
But... It doesn't seem to be working...
"Come on!" He cursed himself with rage...
Then suddely the aura he releases turned red and lit the branch on fire!
Max then surprised that it did work...
After the fire is lit up, Max quickly use heal pulse on Alex...
He's very worried...

He's been using it for a while...
But it seems that Alex felt more comfortable now...
Then Max takes a rest by sitting next to Alex...
He wants to find me...
But...
He might not be able to return to the cave because the storm is still raging...
all he could do is wait...
Max looked at his other friends that are in a Pokeball...
he not sure if he can release them...
so he came and picked up Marie's Pokeball then he pressed the button, it opened and Marie came out.
"Okay, what's the d-" Marie cut's off as she looks around and sees Max alone with Alex unconscious.
"Oh My Goodness! Alex!" Marie screamed as she came towards Alex and takes a look at him looking very cold and fatigued
"Alex! are you alright?!" Marie yelled worriedly, Alex didn't respond
"Marie calm down! i've already healed him, let him take a rest" Max said to Marie calmly at the end
Marie looks at Alex again
"fine... what happened! where's Justin!?" Marie yelled again in confusion
"he-" Max looks down...
"he ordered me to save you... and i have to leave him out in the storm" Max replied honestly
"what storm?!" Marie yelled again as she looks out side and see the Blizzard raging.
"We can't just leave him out there!" Marie rebelled
"but if we get out there again, we might be lost!" Max added a point
Marie winced by those words...
but in the end she accepted to leave me...
"(sigh) what do we do now?" Marie asked...
Max waited and think about my order...
"w-we should wait for the storm to stop... then we find another trainer to catch us" Max explained
"what! aren't we going to find Justin! our actual trainer!" Marie yelled in disagreement
"b-but..." the Max had another thought...
"wait... you might be right... let's wait for Alex to wake up, then we look for Justin" Max explained his new plan
"Finally! you've come to your sense" Marie said with satisfaction, Max then scratch his head.
"We should sit near the fire and watch it, it's cold anyway... well maybe for you" Max added
"yeah... brrr! it's cold!" Marie then flies and rest near the fire,
Max came and put the rest two filled Pokeball contains his friend Curtana and...
the other one that i haven't released yet...
maybe from his eyes...
I'm not sure...
Max might be curious about the last one...
but he decided to not open it...
then they waited for the storm to end...
leaving me in the storm...
that is what i wanted anyways...

there is no mist, no storm, no Blizzard! it's nothing!
i decided to stand up and... i feel fine! really! i have my backpack, my compal... everything!

i looked around and see the sun is setting! i looked at the clock on my compal...
it's almost late...

the storm is done... but i haven't arrived yet...
Max is looking at the sun setting, and Marie is sleeping on Alex to keep him warm.
it's been a while...
Max began feeling very worried...
"ugh..." a sudden groan is heard
Max looked at the direction on where did the voice came from and...
Alex is awake!
"w-where am i... what the!" Alex suddenly realized that Marie is sleeping on him, Alex quickly pushed her away in shock and Marie is rudely awake
"Hey! what was that for!" Marie yelled at Alex
"M-Marie? I-I'm sorry!" Alex Replied with a blush on his face
"I-It's fine... maybe i shouldn't sleep on you..." Marie mumbled at her last sentence and also blushed, Max sigh in relief
"thank goodness you are alright... i thought you're..."
"I'm alright... wait-" Alex then stands up
"where's Justin?" Alex added.
Max and Marie looks at the snowfield
"no... Justin!" he quickly runs out of the cave but max suddenly stops right in front of him
"let me out! we need to find Justin!" Alex said aggressively too Max for the first time. Max's heart is weakened... but he needs to be strong... in the inside...
"w-we can't yet! we still need to wait... he will come... i know he will..."
"Of course i will!" i yelled from far away after seeing Max!
and yes, i did hear the conversation on that last one. i am now running towards them, Max turned around to see me coming, Alex quickly ran past Max and hugs me
"J-Justin! are you okay?!" Alex said with tears
"I'm fine! in fact... better!" i added with positivity, Alex wiped his tears and smiled.
Max and Marie caught up
"Justin!" Marie yelled as she bumped my head
"Aaah!" i yelp in pain, then i see Marie face mad and sad
"you can't just leave us like that!" Marie yelled again
"I-it's the only way to keep you and Alex safe!" I replied holding the pain on my head
"Oh shut up!" she said as she blushed
"you... came back... how?!" Max asked
"well... I'm not sure... really"
"what do you mean?"
"uh..." I'm lost in words...
even the rest is...
"The important thing is... that you are safe now..." Alex added in our silence
"yeah" i said as i sigh in relief...

since i have returned...

"guys... well girls too, let's continue now shall we?" i added
"yeah!" Max added joyfully
then we all returned to our path and i could see the entrance of Anistar city!
we're that close!

something came up in my mind...
"Hey Max... how is Curtana?" i Asked
"oh well..." Max suddenly paused...
