The school was abnormally normal with a student who died because of a murder.
It seems like no one wanted to talk about the case. Or they felt like it's a curse if they even speak about it.
The way he was killed was inhuman, no wonder all are scared. Even the posts from before are deleted as they think it was cursed.
But Jenny Morgan thought the opposite. She knew who killed Timothy. Or she think she knew.
"I'm not the one who killed Timothy! He called me a whore, posted pictures of me on the internet enough to have a grudge on him but that wasn't me!!" Paris shouted at Jenny who accused her of killing Timothy in the middle of the hallway.
Spectators surrounded them, like bees buzzing, gossiping about the possibility.
"The more reason for you to kill him! I saw you! You're on top of Timothy that night!" Jenny pointed her finger at her.
"That wasn't me! If it was me why didn't you told the detective then? It's because you're not sure!"
"I saw your silhouette! You have middle length hair! I heard you moaning and whispering to Tim!"
"Anyone here could have such hair you dumb bitch! You're just being obsessed with Tim because he dumped you for Merida!"
"Well you're such a whore who'll jump at anyone, maybe even on a dead body!"
Merida just stood there watching them both, mortified while Justin—who came to school with her—glanced at the mortified woman.
"Shut the fuck up you whores. You're causing a commotion so early in the morning. Just shut your mouth since you can't do that to your legs." Bryan said, turning the attention to the tall man making them stop and just glare at each other.
Everyone went on there businesses but the heat of the fight was still between the two ladies.
"Dumb bitches can't even read the atmosphere." Bryan said before walking to the room while Merida gaze at his back.
"Hey Merida... are you alright?" Justin asked making her snap out of her thoughts.
"Y-Yeah... I'm fine... bye Justin." She bid and walked to the room as well.
Justin felt so distant and worthless since the incident, like he can't reach Merida anymore, him being in his 1st year in college doesn't help either.
She must have really loved the guy even though he's an asshole.
When Merida entered the room, Nathan's eyes was on her. And so he stood up from his seat and approached her.
"Hey, what's up?" He asked her making her snap out of her thoughts and give him all her attention.
She smiled at him, "Hey Nath... want to have coffee later? I want the one near that bar you guys always hang out at... I just missed a favorite flavor." She asked making Nathan hesitant but decided to agree since, it'll be better to cope than to mope any longer.
"Yeah, sure why not? My treat..." He smiled at her.
"Nah, I have money. What do you think of me? broke?" She chuckled making Nathan feel a little relieved.
After that, the teacher came in making all students go back to their seats.
At lunch time, Nathan didn't get to ask Merida to eat together since Bryan called for him.
"No, go ahead... I'll text Justin if he's free to hang out with." She said making Nathan leave hesitantly.
"Okay, coffee is still on okay?" Nathan asked.
"Yeah, just go." She said pushing him lightly.
When Nathan approached the stoic faced Bryan, he only told him to follow.
He didn't question since he do this all the time. Bryan is just a little different towards Timothy though, since they've been together for so long.
At the side of the school where no one can disturb, Nathan leaned on the wall.
"So what do you want to talk about? Why I didn't talked at the stage? Or why I left so early yesterday? That was embarrassing bro, I'm emotional too but I just can't do it in front of the crowd you know tha–"
"I don't care about that, I already knew... I was gonna ask what were you doing with Merida?" He asked mad.
"What?"
"Are you doing this thing you were doing when Tim was together with Merida? She's depressed! She needs someone by her side." Nathan angrily said.
"Oh Nath, both you and I know that wasn't the truth..." Bryan smirked at him making him taken aback.
"Ever since that Merida came to this school, y'all have been all around her. Only she and Tim doesn't notice that you like her too! Ha! Maybe even love her!"
"Then what about it!? Timothy is gone anyway! And I was the one who saw her first! I was supposed to be the one who ended up with her!"
"We're you... the one who killed Tim?" Bryan asked making him stop and look at him.
"What the fuck are you even saying? I was with Merida the whole time, I was at the couch, beside you even!" He defended.
Bryan just looked at him with glint of doubt in his eyes before walking away.
With his back facing Nathan he said, "Jenny said she saw Paris on top of Tim that night or morning, I don't really know... though whoever it was... I'll kill them like they killed Tim."
He felt Bryan change so much in just a span of two days. He even left the dorm leaving Nathan all alone.
But he understood what Bryan was feeling, the guy treats Timothy like his own younger brother... and to lost one, he must have felt devastated.
After school, Merida told Justin she won't be going home with him that afternoon, but she did asked if he wanted to join her and Nathan to the café.
But Justin felt like he wasn't wanted there when he felt Nathan's gaze.
"Nah, I have homeworks to do... enjoy your time." He said which is true, and left the two alone.
Merida and Nathan proceeded to walk as it's not that very far, but not so near as well.
"So what did you and Bryan talked about?" Merida asked looking at him.
"Not much, just asked why I didn't said anything at the tribute and why we left so early yesterday." He lied.
"Oh, you're not that great with crowds right? And what you said was true... I was pretty tired, emotionally and mentally." She asked looking at her feet while walking.
"Yeah, and I'm not one to say what I feel." He said.
One of the reason why he didn't confessed to her last school year.
The two spent talking together that they didn't notice they were there, and that the sun is almost down.
"I just remembered I needed to go home soon, ever since the incident, Mom was worried and I don't want her too." Nathan said when they entered the café.
"That's so sweet, it's fine... but go and order something at least..." She said gesturing him to go first.
"Go and order for your Mom too." She added looking at the menu.
And so he brought a drink for him and his mom.
"I'm really sorry I can't hang out for too long Merida." He apologized when he got his order.
"It's fine, the walk was fun too." She smiled at him.
"Bye then."
"Bye." Merida waved and with that Nathan left.
But before she proceeded to order something, she saw Jenny entering the bar, it was right in front of the café so she can easily see it.
She ignored what she saw and resumed ordering as she doesn't want to be a burden to others.
