Devil's Eyes

"How…are you?" After a long while of awkward silence, she started with a hesitant attempt to break it.

"How am I?!" He replied back almost instantly as if he was ready to burst out and was just looking for a reason. "I don't know where did you get the nerve to ask me this after disappearing for years and even changing your f**king phone number. What was my fault in all that?!" His voice got heavy with emotions and she just stared at his face.

"It's okay Alex. Calm down." Raven patted his back but he didn't seem to give it any importance as his expressions remained the same.

"Let him say it Raven. I deserve it, I'll listen." She sighed.

"You know what, I don't wanna say anything else because I doubt we had or have any importance in your life." This time his tone sounded strange and emotionless.
