A Love Triangle(?)

"Mom! I'm leaving!" Alice said as she left. Once she got out of their gate, she saw a car at the end of the street. She went near it and she saw Grant leaning on it.

"Hey Al," he greeted.

"Who's Al? Wait, why are you here?" Alice asked.

"I'll call you Al from now on and I'll give you a ride to school," he smiled.

"I'd prefer walking," Alice ignored him but then Grant pulled her into the car. "Bring us to school," he told the driver.

"Why the heck do you have to bring me along? She grunted.

"I'm a gentleman, I can't let a girl walk alone to school," he said calmly.

They arrived at their school not long after, Grant opened the car door for Alice. "Thanks for the ride Grant,"

"It's no big deal, I'd give you a ride every day," he said. The two walked to their classroom together, once they entered everyone in the room teased them.

"Mark, you got some competition," Sarah smirked.

"Shut it," he grunted.

"What's with the weird greeting?" Alice asked.

"Why did you come together?" one classmate asked.

"Grant was coincidentally at our street, so he gave me a ride." Alice shrugged. Alice plopped down her seat, Mark was beside her.

The latter pulled the female towards him "Hey what is up with this? You're best buds now?" he asked.

"We aren't best buds! It was a freaking coincidence!"

"You're too close," Mark huffed.

"I think Mark's jealous," Grant butted in.

"Shut up," Mark scowled.

"Alice, should I accompany you home later?" Grant offered.

"I walk Alice home every day so don't bother," Mark said.

"But maybe it's about time to change," Grant retorted.

"Hell no, I've been walking her home since last year," Mark protested.

"Maybe Alice is bored with you," Grant smirked.

"Both of you shut up! No one's walking me home! Why do you have to do that anyway?" she groaned.

"You must be dense," Grant said.

"Welcome to my world," Mark sighed. Little did the trio knew that everyone in their class was listening to them and all were bickering in laughter.

"This isn't going to be good," Josh facepalmed.

Right after class, Alice walked home and behind was Mark and Grant. "Didn't I tell you that no one's walking me home?!" Alice sighed.

"It's getting dark, I have to make sure you're okay," Mark answered.

"And I can't trust Mark," Grant added.

"What did you say?" Mark growled. Grant only repeated his answer.

"Why don't you just crawl back to your old school and die?" Mark cracked his knuckles. Alice grabbed the two by their collars and pulled them both at her level.

"Why don't you just shut up and get lost?" she said grumpily.

"We can't," the two said in unison.

"Why?"

"I'm a gentleman," they both said.

"Screw you," she whacked them both on the head. Minutes later they arrived at Alice's home.

"Okay, I'm finally home. Now leave me alone. Goodnight and take care," afterwards the gate was slammed shut.

"Look Grant, I've known Alice for a longer time, so I suggest you'd give up before you get hurt," Mark said.

"I won't give up. Look, I like Alice as much as you do and I have already confessed to her you coward," Grant retorted.

"I'm not like you who just confessed out in the open, I think about everything, the setting and the timing. I want only the best for her," Mark gave him a smug look.

"Fine then, may the best man win," Grant smirked.

On the next day, before Alice left their house, she peeped through their gate. "No sign of them," she breathed, and then she slowly made her way out. She saw Grant's car, she went to a different route. "Just my luck," Alice grunted as she eyed the alley she went to, there was a high wall.

Alice stepped backwards then she ran and jumped, she was able to reach the part, she pulled herself up and went down on the other side. She looked around, no sign of them so she started walking. "Hey Alice," she flinched.

"I thought you usually go this way, it's a good thing that I decided to stroll for a while," Grant smiled.

"Oh hi Grant, I didn't know you're here." Alice faked a laugh.

"Shall I give you a ride?" he offered.

"If I say no you'd force me there anyway," Alice sighed. Grant opened the car door, Alice was about to enter when--

"Hey Grant, hey Alice are you on your way to school?" a cheerful voice greeted.

"Tsss…. Mark," Grant huffed.

"Hey Mark," Alice greeted.

"We were just about to leave," Grant said

"Oh good timing, mind if I ride with you? You see my feet are kind of weary," Mark said in a childish voice.

"Sure, oh wait Mark can ride too, can't he?" Alice turned to Grant--who apparently no longer had a choice.

"Yeah sure,"

So the three entered the car, Alice sat between them and she was oblivious about the tension in the air. Grant told the driver to head to school.

"Hey this would be great, what if we all go to school together from now on? Grant could give me and Alice a ride every day," Mark suggested.

Grant immediately glared at Mark. "This guy would do anything just to not give me and Alice our alone time," he thought, but then he faked a smile. "If it's fine with Alice, then it's fine with me," Grant chuckled.

"I don't know, I don't want to be a burden though, it's embarrassing to just keep riding on someone else's car you know," Alice said as she fiddled her fingers.

"No, it's fine. Anything for you, it's just a car ride besides, there's a lesser chance that you'll be late for school," Grant smiled sweetly.

"Okay then, thanks. From now on the three of us go to school together," Alice announced.

"But I have to ask something in return," Grant said. The two turned to him and waited for his answer. "I'll go home with you too," he said.

"What?" Mark exclaimed.

"Hey, since you joined in on me and Alice when going to school, then I might as well join the two of you when you go home," Grant said with a smug look. Mark realized his mistake. He opened the window and yelled out in frustration.

"By the way, why do you two always accompany me? I mean… do the two of you want to be my bodyguards or something?" Alice asked. Mark and Grant felt like bumping their heads on the window.

"How dense can you be? I already told you it's because I like you," Grant said in disbelief.

"Can't you just stop being dense… I lo—"

"We're here," the driver announced. Mark wanted to kill the driver then and there, on the other hand, Grant just smiled at him.

"What was that Mark?" Alice asked, she still looked flustered because of Grant's straightforwardness.

"Just stop being dense, idiot." he grunted.

"How grumpy," Alice pouted.

The three entered the classroom together and once again they became the trending topic in their class. "Don't you people have anything better to do?" Alice shouted.

"Have a seat you three," their teacher appeared behind them.

The three flinched then they hurriedly took their seats. "All the teachers just had a meeting and we have decided that you'll be having your exams three weeks from now," he declared.

"But that is just the second week of March, isn't it a little early to have finals yet?" Miriam asked.

"Yes it is, but there will be a school year-end festival," he added.

"Festival?" one student asked.

"That's what we'll be talking about, there will be a contest and the class with the most points wins a full expense paid trip to an amusement park," Miriam explained.

"Did I mention that your food is free and unlimited?" their teacher added. Then the whole class got excited. "Any suggestions?" he asked.

"A host club slash maid cafe?" Alice suggested.

"Denied," Miriam grunted.

"Why? It's a great idea," Alice whined.

"It isn't suitable, idiot." a familiar voice said.

"Oh Tiffy, you're back" Alice frowned.

"I am not Tiffy!" she shouted.

"How about you Tiffany, any suggestions?" the teacher asked.

"A stage play,"

"Noted," Miriam said.

"Hey, that's unfair!" Alice remarked.

"Give me a reason then?" Tiffany suddenly stood up.

"If your ideas can be acknowledged then Alice has a right to have her ideas noted too," Grant calmly said.

"G-grant? You transferred?" Tiffany looked shocked.

"Isn't it obvious?" Grant answered.

"But why?" she asked. "Is it because of me? Oh come on Grant I know we are friends but you don't have to do something like this," Tiffany blushed.

Everyone eyed Tiffany like she's an idiot. "I transferred because of Alice," Grant said.

"Awkward," Gerald lilted. Tiffany glared at Alice and sat down.

"Okay, any more suggestions? And Miriam note Alice's suggestion," their teacher said.

More students suggested a bunch of other stuff and the people who suggested were told to explain their ideas. After that, they had a voting and in the end they chose Tiffany and Alice's ideas. Their teacher reminded them to do have another meeting later and that every student must participate.

They headed to the chemistry lab afterwards, but they saw their teacher outside. "No classes, some chemicals spilt," she said. The students returned to their classroom with smiles on their faces, sometimes impossible stuff happen. When they thought they could go and hang-out they were told to stay in the classroom for their meeting.

"While Felix is busy researching for the play let's all decide on our hosts first," Miriam said.

"Mark, Alex and Grant! They're perfect for hosts" Tiffany squealed.

"No way!" the three protested.

"Please," Miriam pleaded.

"There are plenty of other guys," Alex scoffed.

"If you agree, Julianne could designate you." Alice teased and Alex immediately agreed.

"Really? I'm in?" Alex immediately agreed.

"How about you?" Alice turned to Grant and Mark.

"Well, I have a condition." Grant smirked and Mark seemed to know what it is.

"What? Just be hosts I beg you, I'd do anything?" Alice said as she clapped her hands together.

"Anything?" their brows rose in curiosity. Alice nodded.

"Volunteer as a maid," they said in unison. For once Mark and Grant agreed on something.

"What?!" Alice bolted.

"You heard us," Grant smirked.

"It's your suggestion anyway, you must volunteer," Mark chuckled. Alice was too shocked to even move. Miriam heard their conversation.

"Okay then, Mark and Grant will be hosts and Alice will be one of the maids," she said as she added their names on the chalkboard. They were able to finalize all the hosts and maids. Felix also entered the room in time and told them about the plays. They had to choose between three plays.

1. Peter Pan

2. Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs

3. Romeo and Juliet

In the end, Peter Pan won and they were about to decide on the cast. "Officers are not allowed to join," Miriam said keeping herself safe.

"Mark will be Peter Pan!" Lance laughed loudly and he earned a punch from Mark. For some weird reason, a lot of people agreed. His protests were ignored and when they were deciding for Wendy, Alice was chosen. Alice was flabbergasted, she has yet to recover from her trauma from being chosen as a maid and now she's a main character in the play too?

The boys volunteered as part of the play too as a form of sympathy for Alice and Mark on the other hand Grant volunteered to be Captain Hook.

Soon enough, it was time for their lunch, Alice and the others headed to the rooftop to eat their lunch. "This sucks, why am I forced to do those stuff?" Alice grumbled.

"Well you're not alone" Mark sighed.

"Cheer up, it will be fun." Alex chuckled.

"Now the pressure is on me, I suggested the host club thing and now I'm a major character in the play." Alice was on the verge of setting the school on fire due to her irritation.

"Hey Wendy," someone greeted. They looked at the speaker and it made Alice's mood worse, it was Tiffany and Mia.

"Congrats on being chosen as Wendy," Mia smiled.

"Quit faking so you two still mad at me?" Alice said bluntly.

"Alice, we said sorry," Mia said.

"Yeah, you apologized to Mark," Alice chuckled.

"I'm just here to warn you Alice, Gra—"

"Shut it Tiffy, I know what you'll say. You think Grant is your best friend and you don't want me to get close to him because you're a jealous psychotic bitch, anything else?" Alice smiled.

Tiffany stormed away from the rooftop and Mia followed.

"I told you I can't trust her," Alice said.

"Sorry, I thought she changed," Mark sighed.

"It's okay, besides my life isn't boring anymore. I think Tiffany likes Grant so it is a new fight, besides she still likes you." Alice chuckled.

"Anyways let's stop talking about this and let us focus on our tests," Gerald interfered.

"Gerald's right, how about another study group?" Mark suggested.

He got different variations of answers declining his offer since they are all going to be reviewing with their girlfriends. "Really? You guys just have to rub it in, don't you?" Mark grunted.

"Ask Alice if she could study with you," Josh said.

"No," Alice said coldly.

"Why not?" Mark whined.

"I prefer to study individually," Alice defended.

"Alice," Grant suddenly appeared.

"Oh, Grant… why are you here?" Alice asked.

"I couldn't help but overhear your conversation, perhaps you'd want to study with me instead," Grant offered.

"No thank you,"

"But Alice, I heard that your parents will be gone for two weeks because of a business trip. I even heard that your mom and dad are allowing you to stay over at my house." Grant said.

"What nonsense are you talking about?!" Alice exclaimed.

"Oh, you didn't know? Our parents are co-workers and are still good friends, my mom and dad will be leaving too." Grant replied.

"What the hell?" Alice exclaimed.
