Mark's Jealousy

It was already time for their gym class so after changing from their uniforms they headed to their school gym. "Okay today, we'll continue the basketball tournament," their coach said.

"There's a new student," someone announced.

"Yes, I've heard of him, Grant Mendoza is it?" he asked.

"Yes sir, I'm Grant," Grant casually said.

"Okay Grant, can you play basketball?"

"Only the best sir," he confidently said.

His coach's brows rise in interest. "Really eh? Then you're in the girls' team for our next game, you think you're good right? Good luck." he smirked.

Grant gulped, he was part of the team of girls. He really has no issue with it but Tiffany happens to be a part of the team and it would make things awkward for him. "The game starts in three minutes,"

Grant and the girls took the time to strategize, they decided on the first five. Soon enough the game started. The other team dominated the first few minutes that Grant's team wasn't even able to score. "Tiffany just pass the pass to me!" Grant yelled, completely frustrated that Tiffany was trying to show off despite not being any good at all.

He saw Alice sitting at the benches and beside her was Mark. Mark had a smug look on his face that is clearly saying a lot of insults to his face but then he noticed Alice looking at him. "Don't depend on your teammates, let them depend on you," she mouthed, and just like that Grant's adrenaline pumped with excitement and he played like a pro.

In the end, Grant's team won with a score of 45 to 32. Most points were from him, after what Alice told him he just told the girls to pass the ball onto him and they did. Grant was a good player, even Mark admitted it himself.

As soon as the game and the grading from their coach was finished, Grant just landed on the floor, he panted heavily.

"Are you okay?" his teammates asked worriedly.

"I'm okay, I'm just drained," he panted. The girls thanked him and they headed to the locker room to change.

"Water?" Grant looked up and he saw Alice holding a water bottle.

"I can't stand up," Grant groaned.

"Sissy," Alice laughed as she took Grant's hands and pulled him into a sitting position. She handed him her water bottle. "Go ahead and drink, and here's a towel, i-it's mine but I haven't used it yet anyway," she said as she held out a towel.

"Wait you're being nice to me," he teased. Alice sat beside him.

"Idiot, it's not like that! I just thought that I should be nice to you since I'm staying over anyway." she huffed.

"I can't believe we actually won," Grant sighed.

"Well your opponents aren't good anyway, most of them weren't the athletic ones so you still had a bit of an advantage," Alice chuckled.

"Have you already played?" Grant asked.

"Yeah, we played against an all-boy group, we won," Alice replied.

"Were you good?" Grant asked in a playful tone.

"Of course I was," she answered. "Without my steals and passes we never could have won." she continued.

"Oh really? Try then," Grant chuckled as he took the slowly rolling ball near them. He handed Alice the ball. Alice smirked as she made a shot.

"Wow, it's a clean shot," Grant's mouth gaped.

"Told you, I've been playing with my brother to practice my shooting accuracy," she said proudly.

"We'll be opponents next meeting right?" Grant grinned and Alice nodded. "Good luck to you," he said.

"I think you mean good luck to you, our team will be a difficult opponent," Alice whistled.

"Oh don't be too confident, you're up against the Grant man, the other Lebron James," Grant said as he flexed his arm muscles showing off his well-toned biceps.

"Sheesh, take a shower Grant man," Alice laughed as she pinched the bridge of her nose.

"Do I really smell that bad?" he chuckled.

Alice simply nodded. Suddenly Grant went near her and placed his arm around her shoulders. Alice immediately pushed him away. "Hey don't transfer your stink to me!" she laughed. Grant also laughed as he kept getting near Alice.

"They're getting along very well," Gerald said.

"Yeah, too well," Mark snarled.

"Man, you must be jealous." Lance chuckled.

"Yeah definitely," Mark grunted.

"You wanna gang up and beat the guy?" Alex joked.

"As much as I want to I can't, as wimpy as it sounds, Grant and I are friends too same with him and Alice," Mark sighed.

"But sometimes you look like the third wheel," Matthew grinned.

"Shut up," Mark pushed him.

After playing with Grant, Alice went to the locker room to change. "Hey Wendy," Tiffany greeted.

"Stop calling me that, the play is still far you know," Alice grunted.

"Besides, I never wanted to be Wendy in the first place," she added.

"Oh quit your act, shouldn't Wendy be hanging out with Peter and not Captain Hook?" Tiffany said loudly.

"First of all, nice logic Tiffy and second of all the way I act towards people has no connection whatsoever in the damn Peter Pan play," she said bluntly.

"If you don't want to be Wendy why won't you quit?" Tiffany asked.

"I can quit anytime, I want to check it out if the script is fun besides, all of my friends are in the play so might as well join them," Alice shrugged.

"Admit it Alice, you just want to be popular, you're already a maid then you also get to be the main character in the play which I suggested!" Tiffany glared.

"Are you that shallow-minded? I was forced to be a maid because if I'm not then Mark and Grant wouldn't agree to be hosts," Alice was starting to get impatient.

"But you can just find another way right?"

"Oh shut up Tiffany," Alice cut her off, the girls were surprised. "If you have questions, ask Miriam or Gail, they approved of it anyways, just quit talking to me," Alice said clearly.

Tiffany growled and attempted to punch Alice, but Alice was able to stop her with her hand and she held onto it tightly. "Try to be bitchy again and I'll break it," Alice threatened.

"Alice let go, it hurts!" Tiffany cried loudly that even the others at the gym could hear it. Alice released Tiffany's arm.

"Way to overreact Tiffy," Alice grunted. Without warning, Tiffany suddenly slapped Alice causing her head to turn to the side. Alice faced her, a dangerous glint in her eyes. "You really have a death wish don't you?"

Tiffany panicked and she ran back to the gym. "Coach! Alice has gone crazy! She wants to kill me!" she cried as she hid behind their teacher. Alice calmly walked near them.

"Coach I was bluffing threats, I haven't done anything," Alice explained.

"I was so scared, I thought she was going to hurt me!" Tiffany lied.

"What an actress," Alice rolled her eyes. "I only held her arm tightly because she attempted to punch me, that's about it." Alice sighed.

"Don't believe her coach!"

"Tiffany stop, if it was Alice's fault then why is it her with the reddish cheek?"

"I was defending myself!!"

"Oh shut your trap Tiffy. Here coach, I recorded our conversation on my phone. It's obvious that she started it anyway. I also have witnesses, ask the girls," Alice explained and Tiffany's eyes widened.

"It's true sir, Tiffany approached her first," Veronica said.

Their coach was done listening, "We're gonna have a long talk Tiffany, this is not the first time you had this problem with Alice again. It's time to stop," he calmly said.

"Busted," Alice lilted.

"Class dismissed, Tiffany please remain,"

"Why did you even record your conversation?" Veronica asked.

"I had to take precautions because I figured that she still hasn't changed," Alice answered.

"Smart thinking," the other girls commented.

"Hey guys," Alice stepped in the boy's locker room.

"Hey!" they all yelled as they huddled in a corner.

"Oh right, you're still changing, my bad," she chuckled as she stepped backward and exited the area.

A few minutes later, the boys have left the changing area. "What the heck was that about?" Josh scolded.

"Sorry, I forgot that it was a changing area." she said sheepishly.

"You're an idiot," Lance said.

"Hey, I saw nothing except for half-naked dudes," Alice explained.

"Just shut up," Matthew facepalmed.

Alice told them about the fight she had with Tiffany but she told them not to worry about it since it isn't that serious. The guys also found out that Alice would be staying over at Grant's house. "We'll at least walk you over to the gate even though it is pretty much useless," Mark groaned.

"Al, should we go home?" Grant asked as he came out of the locker room. Alice nodded.

"Take care Alice, don't bring your guard down. I don't trust this guy." Mark said as he glared at Grant.

"Oh don't worry Mark, Alice will be taken care of at my house," Grant said with a smug grin.

"Well our ride is here, let's go Al," Grant said as he opened the door of the car in front of them.

"Bye!" Alice waved.

"Goodbye," Mark said in disbelief.
