I Hope It's Just Us

Beca, Joanne, and Felix are just standing and listening to music. However, Beca secretly leaves the group after noticing someone in the crowd.

Yes, it's Nicholas.

He looks at her and makes a gesture to ask her to leave the gym.

She smiles brightly and secretly follows him out.

"Well, hello there..." Nicholas sweetly greets her while reaching out his hand.

Beca chuckles and replies playfully, "I heard that the party sucks, so why don't we go somewhere else?"

He teasingly gasps and says, "You just read my mind!"

They just giggle and dash to another empty room in Seaside High.

The room is dark, but he tapes some paper onto the lamp. When he turns on the light, the whole place is filled with stars.

She gasps as if she just saw something magical came out of his hand.

She's in awe and out of words.

"Nicholas... this is... beautiful..." she mumbles while looking around.

There are stars, constellations, moon, and sun. The whole room looks like a galaxy for her.

"Yeah... beautiful..." he replies quietly while looking at her.

Nicholas takes a step closer to her. He stands there, wearing a white shirt, with the sleeves half up, and the first button is undone. His hair is a bit long with a low taper fade. His fringe is naturally covering his left eyes, Beca moves it to take a view on his beautiful eyes.

Nicholas takes out his phone and plays the music on it.

-Perfect-One Direction is playing-

He pulls her closer, hands on her waist, eyes on hers.

She lingers her hands around his neck.

They dance around to the song, feeling that they're perfect for each other.

They're trying to find a rendezvous to be just them within the walls, blocking all the curse and cuss that people give them.

They're looking into each other's eyes, feeling so lucky at the moment.

Out of that room, they might not be able to hold each other. Nevertheless, it's fine as long as both of Beca and Nicholas enjoy this moment.

This moment, where the distance between them can be quickly filled with one kiss, the tension of wanting to go further, the butterflies tickling them, the sound of their heartbeats, is what they want to enjoy right now.

She realizes that he's perfect for her.

It does sound cliche, but it's not for Beca.

She dances around, holding his hands, feeling brave and up in the sky full of stars.

They're dancing as if it was their last chance to do it as if they're not going to see each other anymore as if they weren't meant for each other.

His touch is sweeping her off the ground. She's letting him take her wherever it is. He lifts her feet and spins her around.

She feels crazier as she gets lost in his sparkling eyes.

His gaze, his breath, and his voice make her fall off her feet, but he's ready to catch her.

They stand closer, out of breath, trying to grasp some air.

He looks into her eyes, and he gets lost in there every time.

There's something about the way he looks at her that is making her want more.

In the middle of an empty room filled with made-stars, their faces get closer.

Absent-mindedly, Beca moves and touches his soft lips with hers.

The taste of her cherry lipstick is making his feet week.

He kisses her back, his right hand softly moves to her neck, and the other is on her waist.

She naturally glides her hands, circling his neck.

He kisses her under the bright stars with the fake constellations as their witnesses.

After a while, they stop and just gaze into each other's eyes. They giggle and hug while dancing to the slow, happy music.

At least in this room, nobody can tell them to be apart.

-Meanwhile Caleb-

Caleb is in the gym, like everybody else, hugging his date while dancing to the songs.

Her hands are on his muscular chest. She can smell his bold, earthy perfume.

He glides his hand smoothly to her waist while doing steps from dancing.

"Caleb, I like you..." she says while lifting her face while looking at him.

He smirks and spins her around.

"Really? That might not be very smart, though..." he says flirtatiously.

His date chuckles and replies, "Oh, every time you play hard to get the more I want you..." while moving her face closer to him.

"....." he stays silent.

He takes a step back and says, "You know what? I'll get you a punch..." while smiling fakely.

He dashes to leave her sight and gets to the corner.

"What the hell! I just asked a psycho to be my date... She totally had the crazy eyes! Brrr!" he rants anxiously to himself.

He suddenly bumps into someone who accidentally slips into his arms.

"Hey... you alright?" he says while softly grabbing her from falling.

"Caleb?" Stacy asks with a surprise in her tone.

He squints her eyes from confusion and smiles at her. "Woah... Hey... Did you hurt yourself?" he asks her worriedly as he notices that there's a big red spot on her right cheek.

Stacy looks around warily and answers restlessly, "I-I'm f-fine! Totally fine!"

Caleb takes a closer look at her. He gently touches her red cheek, and she groans from the pain.

"Did someone hit you?" Caleb asks her with a severe tone.

She takes a step back and looks away to hide her supposedly-hit cheek.

He sighs and worriedly looks at her.

He quickly grabs her hand and drags her out of the gym.

-The Infirmary-

"Hey!!! What if someone saw us?!" she screams cautiously.

Caleb takes a look at her with rage in his eyes.

"You're hurt, and you still care about the damn rules?!" he shouts with a high tone.

She looks away and is not answering him.

He takes a deep breath and softly drags her to the bed.

He stands up to search for some ointment that can heal her cheek.

She just sits on the bed while looking bummed at Caleb.

He walks closer to her with ointment in his hand but trips himself over the chair.

"Woah!!!" she shouts in a surprise while lying on the bed.

Caleb is almost on top of her. Had he not hold onto something, their lips would've already touched.

"That stupid damn chair..." he groans while still holding on and keeping a distance from her, not just falling right on top of her.

Stacy, still in shock, stays silent while looking nervously into his staring eyes.

Caleb is the same, not making any noise.

Caleb's breath is tickling her as he keeps looking at her lips in between.

Stacy moves closer, but Caleb pulls away.

He awkwardly clears his throat while opening the ointment.

"Lemme see your cheek..." he says while softly taking a look at her cheek.

He gently rubs the ointment on her red cheek.

She groans from the pain and stares at him, who's focused on treating her.

She just stares at the sight of him treating her gently.

When he looks at her back, she looks away.

She tries hard to put up a flat face when all she wants to do is let out the smile.

Without they realize it, their faces are close and only inches away.

He looks at her with a fierce yet sweet pair of eyes.

He smirks and casually says, "What? You're starting to fall for me?"

She panics and slaps his arm impulsively.

"OUCH!" he screams from pain.

Her eyes widen as she realizes and screams, "Sorry! I panicked!"

While she has a guilty expression, Caleb just laughs at her.

"Hahaha!"

She frowns and asks, "Why are you laughing?!"

He just smiles and casually answers, "Nothin'... you're cute when you're not crazy."

She blushes hard and looks away again, with no words to come out.

Caleb puts the ointment down and asks with a serious tone, "So, what happened?"

She hesitates for a bit, and answers, "We got into arguments... then he slapped me..."

Caleb softly gasps and touches her other cheek gently.

"Stacy I... I'd never do that..." he says with a sorrowful and concerned pair of eyes.

Stacy looks into his eyes and smiles.

Without thinking much, she leans in and presses her lips against his. She kisses him while gliding her hands from his chest to his back. He kisses her back and sliding his hands to her waist.

The taste of her lipstick is making him want more. He pushes her softly while still locking lips with her. The feeling of his minty and plump lips are making her giggling for a second.

He smirks to her, and she lets him take the lead.

His lips taste like strawberry, and his blue eyes are closed.

That night, she put her guard down and let him in.

-After Homecoming, Twins' House-

Beca opens Caleb's room quickly, only to have a surprise there.

It's Caleb and Stacy on his bed, making out with only God knows wearing how many clothes.

"WOOAAHHH!!!! WHAT THE HELL DID I JUST SEE?!!!" she screams from the top of her lung.

Caleb and Stacy immediately look at her on the door with the same shock expression that shouts, 'Holy shit,' realizing that they're doomed.

Beca stands there with eyes widened and, oddly enough, covering only her ears, still not believing what she sees right now.
