Twentieth Vow: Separated II

His twisted ways are hidden under his charming smile. The blonde would never let anyone get close to her to the level he is with her. He kept everyone at bay. He made sure the people around her would know where they stand.

He kept drawing lines and kept her inside a cage without her knowing.

Grey knew that even if Victor would find a way to make her hate him the chances of which are little. The man finds joy in ruining other people. It made him feel like his life isn't so bad. Even when he had wealth, power and fame. He envied how people get to be happy without anyone holding them back.

If he couldn't get that, neither should they.

Catherine made him feel contented and raw for the first time in a long time. He craved for it. Just like Victor, he wanted her all to himself. Only for him and only to him. "I wonder what face she'll make when she finds out Rovanovich is one sick bastard." He smiled.

"Ah, I'll make sure I'll be the one who gets to tell the entire story." The silence in his room is serene. He wouldn't need to rush everything. He'll savor every single minute of Victor's despair.

Grey inhaled deeply. The smile on his face says it all. "Victory tastes better when you see your opponents' suffer." He opened his phone, dialing one of workers. "Cherry, please buy two extra-large cotton sweaters in the colors beige and pastel pink."

"Two of each color sir?"

"Yeah, make sure they're matching sweaters. I need them by tomorrow."

"Of course, sir, goodbye." He hanged up. He needed to offer a peace offering to his upset lady. He'll just buy some sweets tomorrow. Chocolate filled donuts are one of her favorites. "Hmm, maybe I'll buy her a pendant next time."

He looked up to the ceiling of his room. "Yeah, a pendant sounds good." He smiled to himself. Seeing her wearing the gifts he'll give made his stomach all fuzzy inside. Delighted at how he imagined she'd be wearing the sweater and the pendant.

Soon he'll give something much better than clothes. Maybe they could go on a trip together. Walks on beaches, watching sunsets and visiting famous tourist spots. Even when she didn't give him the green light. It would be a lie if he would say he didn't daydream about her.

He would imagine all the good things, like how he saw in movies. Tying her hair up, waking up next to her and giving her back hugs. He wanted to do all of that but since he didn't want her to feel pressured. They'll take things slow.

He hugged one of his pillows and ruffled his hair. "I think I'm going crazy." If it is true, it will be the good kind of crazy. A lovely dose of insanity. An insatiable thirst for tranquility.

"I'm sure Rovanovich is losing his shit now." He snickered.
