Twenty-third Vow: Breathe

Catherine did her daily routine in the morning, for the past three days no response from Grey nor from Victor. She found it weird how Victor did not leave any messages or calls – just nothing at all.

Victor from few years back would be angry at her for few hours then reconcile quickly with ice cream and burgers. She found it quite unsettling how not one sign from him – even just for a little bit. Very unnerving.

Catherine fixed her things and decided to call it a day. Looking at her phone once more, 'No messages again today, huh?' She blushed slightly. 'Since when have I been this conceited?' The female ruffled her hair and shrugged. "It's not like I control them or anything."

"Boo."

Her high-pitched shriek caught the attention of the students inside the room. Some laughed and some paused for a while then proceeded to go as if nothing had happened. She turned to look to who it was. The annoying smirk from the one and only Matthew Grey Kingsley.

"You really are trying to kill me, you bastard." She hit his chest repeatedly. Déjà vu as they call it. Even when she freaked out a bit, Catherine is pretty glad he started talking to her. A sense of relief battled her anger.

Grey laughed and patted her on the head. Pat, pat, pat. She slapped his hand away and pouted. 'So adorable.' He thought. "Miss me?"

"Not in the least." She pushed him aside and took her bag then left. Grey quickly took a hold of her bag making her stop in her tracks. "Ah, ah, ah, where are you going now Cathy?"

"Leaving you, now let go."

"Yeah, nice try, not going to happen."

She raised her brow. "And why is that?"

"How can you leave this face?" He pushed his hair aside, a playful yet charismatic smirk to top it off. All the hair from her body stood up. She looked down then up. "Ewww, I'd choose food over you any day."

Grey rolled his eyes. "Actually Cathy, my dad told me to bring you over. He wants to meet you."

Her disgusted face replaced with a shocked one. Her eyes seem like they are going to get out of their sockets. "What the hell?!"

"Why on earth would he want to meet me? What did you do?"

"Nothing, nothing. You see some shady person from my dad stalks me or some something and yeah, they kind of deduced that you are my girlfriend. Hmm, which you will but then again, let's skip the latter."

"You said that from last time." Catherine clearly unfazed.

"I should remind you because I have been waiting for my long awaited 'yes' from you."
