Twenty-third Vow: Breathe II

He took her arm and walked out the exit. "We could go tomorrow, if you're free Cathy." The female only laughed. "Yeah, you're going to have to force me to come with you." Grey's smile widened. "I hope you don't regret that."

Grey decided to change the topic. "How's Rovanovich? Things going worse for the both of you?" She slapped his arm. "Shut up… He's fine and we're alright."

"Sure, you guys are, I heard there is some crazy loose stalker here on campus."

"And what does that to do with you?"

"I just want you to become extra careful, you never know that bastard may start taking a liking to you since you are so very pretty." He waved his hands around his head. "Yeah right, like I'm the only girl here."

He cleared his throat. "But for real Cathy, be more mindful of your surroundings. Bad things happen when you least expect them to, you never know that might be someone you know."

"Stop scaring me idiot."

"I will if you agree to go to dinner with us."

Catherine thought over about what he said. 'Stalker on campus? I never heard about something like that here.' She looked at him for a moment. 'Maybe, it's because he is school president that he knows that kind of information.'

She took out her phone and checked the time. '4:30 already?"

"That a new phone?" She flatly replied. "Yeah…"

"What happened to the old one? Broken?"

"Nope, I just wanted a new phone now." There was no way she would tell him the exact reason. "Well, somebody's loaded. Next time, it's your treat."

"How about now?" He chuckled. He took out his phone. "Hello father, we are going to come over. Is that alright?"

She heard his father answer. "Yes son, it was a thing that you called today. I happen to be free for the rest of night. I look forward in meeting her."

"Of course, father. She looks forward in meeting you too." He ended the call and started laughing. Catherine clearly flustered and overwhelmed. "You crazy piece of!"

"Language Cathy!"

He mimicked the statement Catherine said earlier. "Yeah, you're going to have to force me to come with you." She gritted her teeth and sighed in defeat. It was not like she could change both of their minds and cancelling it right then and now is embarrassing, especially with someone like Grey's father.

"I'll get you next time you punk."

"Sure, you will. I was just looking for the right timing. Thanks for the heads up, Cathy." She tsked and Grey just chuckled. "I'll really get you next time."

"I look forward to it. Just not while we're eating with father." His smirk made a vein pop on her head.
