Twenty-fourth Vow: Dinner

Catherine and Grey were on their way to his home. The male is clearly happy with the turn of events however Catherine begged to differ. "Lighten up Cathy, why so angry?" He smiled. That made her even more irritated.

"How can I not be?! I'm not prepared with all of these." She grouched. "There is no preparation needed you know. Just have some random small talk and then boom you done. You sleep in the guest room and wake up feeling like a queen the next morning."

"You make it sound so easy… And I am not sleeping there."

"So, you want me to drive you home at 12 in the morning?" Grey rolled his eyes. "What father meant by dinner means you will have to talk him into everything you know about us and plus points, you'll love the food there."

She sighed. "It's not like I have any other option aside from giving in."

"Yeah…" He pulled a U-turn then they stopped at a tall building. Glass frames, everything just screamed rich. Catherine feeling self-conscious and small, she moved closer to Grey. He felt her come near him and took the opportunity to link their arms.

"Cathy, this is just dinner with an old man. No biggie."

"Again, easy for you to say. You are not the one who is poor here."

"Cathy, you are not poor. Not at least if you agree to be my girlfriend and you get to live in my condo since rent these days are expensive." Cathy rolled her eyes.

"Wow, I didn't know you care for those trivial things." He chuckled. "Sweetie, I am a business major and we do talk about that. Besides, once I'm old enough to take over the company, things like that matters."

He continued. "Call it economics, no?"

They got inside and Catherine is mesmerized beyond her eyes. "Wow. Not even my soul is enough to afford this." Grey smiled at her. 'How adorable my Cathy is.'

A maid greeted the duo. "Welcome back young master." She gave a short nod of acknowledgement to Catherine. She did as well. "Has father arrived yet?"

"Not yet, he mostly comes back around five or six o clock these days." Grey looked over to Catherine. "Let's head up to my room while waiting." He then faced the maid. "Please send us food and drinks, hm, something sweet."

"Yes sir, right away." The maid hurriedly headed to the kitchen to do what is asked for her. The pair went up the two flights of stairs and got inside Grey's room. She placed her bag on a chair near the balcony.

"Man, I feel so cheap here." Catherine is so amazed by what she is seeing. Something like what she is seeing now is just a shock. They had no chandeliers in their homes, no maids, no king-sized beds for each of them.

Grey excused himself and headed to the bathroom to change. He wore a black fitted shirt that hugged his figure well. Giving a tease on what is underneath and gray baggy pants. Catherine zoned out a little while looking at him.

'Wow, when will I look like a model when I go out the bathroom?'

"Like what you see Cathy?" Grey's smirk widened even more. "Yeah, I should have worn something more comfortable today." The male rolled his eyes. "When will you let me hear the words that I really want to hear from you?"

"What? Is telling you that you look great in normal clothes what you want to hear?" She huffed. "Well yes actually." He chuckled and rummaged through his clothes to let his Cathy wear. He handed her a gray shirt and black shorts. Grey is like one and half Catherines in terms of height.
