Twenty-fourth Vow: Dinner II

"Here change into these. Wearing jeans must be uncomfortable."

"Thanks." She went inside the bathroom and saw one expensive bathtub and shower. 'Do their faucets rain money or something? Gosh.' Victor's house is quite similar to Grey's. Their houses are for the rich and fancy.

High-end gadgets, furniture, decorations, ornaments and windows. Just every single thing in sight.

She wore what is given to her and folded her own clothes. She looked so small in Grey's shirt and shorts. The shirt reached to her mid-thigh and the shorts covers her knees. Before she got out, she tied her hair into a low ponytail, not too tight just enough to make her look at ease.

Grey looked at her with awe. In his eyes, she is so tiny wearing his clothes. Catherine is mumbling about something but Grey didn't bother on listening. He is busy checking out his Cathy. Everything is just so perfect.

The way his shirt hangs loosely on her and the shorts that make her look even more small. This is what they call the 'boyfriend shirt' but add space between boy and friend.

"Hey Grey, are you listening to me?"

Grey snapped back to reality. "Yeah, yeah, I am."

"What was I talking about hm?" She placed her hands on her hips and face him with annoyance clear in her voice and face.

"Uh, um. You know…" It wasn't his fault. Catherine sighed. "I said that we should talk about your father. You should tell me what and what not to say. I don't want to offend such a powerful man."

"Just try to be as polite as possible and when he asks you about your life, try not to be too specific. That's it. Nothing more." Grey inhaled. "Come here Cathy." She went to him and titled her head. "What is it?"

At the back of Grey's mind is someone shouting with joy. He wrapped his arms around her and pulling her into a tight hug. He placed his head on top of her head and sighed. "You look so cute I can't help myself. Hug me too so it won't be awkward on my part."

Catherine sighed and rolled her eyes. "Fine." A masculine, fresh cool mint scent enveloped her. It is soothing somehow. Male perfumes are the best kind of perfumes in her opinion. They stay for longer than women's and they smell so great.

They stood there for a few minutes and Catherine is confused why Grey didn't let go yet. "Are you not planning to let go?"

"I am just a few more minutes, I needed this."

They stood there for a few more minutes and Grey decided to let go. He led her to the couch and made her sit at the corner and he laid down his head on her lap. "Is this your idea of entertaining guests?"

She couldn't help but chuckle. Victor was like this. Every time he had his bad days, he would get clingy with her. "No, just you." He yawned. "Father won't be here for another hour or something. We should rest."

"By you mean 'we' you meant you."

"No, we. Like the both of us."

"You don't see me lying do you know?" Sarcasm just couldn't leave her mouth. He got up and pinned her to the sofa. "Woah, woah, woah, what the hell are you doing?!"

"Fixing our positions so we both can rest." Luckily the couch is big enough for the two of them. He laid down beside her and cuddled like she is his favorite pillow. "Sleep. The maid will just tell us if food is ready downstairs."

No matter how hard she wiggled herself out from his grasp, he just wouldn't budge. "This won't happen again."
