Adam

He stood before the gates and entered along with the others. One by one, they were told to go left or right. When his turn had come, they stared at him before calling forth an angel.

The angel called Metatron.

He looked at him along with his protector before calling him forward. Following them, he wondered why as he walked up the steps of the white castle. Gold trimmed the castle and archways as flower bushes lined the way around the palace, as if to border it.

Walking under the large arch to pass the rows of thick green trees, they came upon a large pool. Clear and glittering the water was as he watched the angel touched it, sending ripples to the edge.

"Your past," the angel spoke clear and deep, "Take a look."

He investigated the pool to see him curled up smiling at his mother and father, before loud banging occurred. Fear written on their faces as they plead and begged to the people in robes. Another ripple against the pool, he saw his mother crying and begging before she screamed. His father was next.

He was alone.

The girl reached for him and he reached back.

Another ripple of the water to show he was older with the girl. They looked happy, but then he died.

Another ripple showed he was in school when he met the girl. They looked happy, but then he died.

Another ripple, another meeting, another death.

Over and over it happened again.

"Why are you showing me this?" he asked Metatron.

"He wants you to see," the angel stated and touched the ripple once more.

He saw the girl, now a little older, standing and looking so cold.

'Like when she killed your parents,' he thought and clenched his hands.

The lady was watching the angel in front of her scream in pain as another thin needle stabbed itself into his body. This person, she isn't real! She couldn't be the girl he had loved!

'But this is her. She is evil,' he found himself thinking and he closed his eyes.

With one last cry, the angel made no more noise and he opened his eyes.

She must be stopped.

"Adam," a voice, ethereal and magical sounded from behind him.

He turned to witness the grace of God himself before him, tall and majestic.

"She had never let you go and she never will," He spoke and Adam knew in his heart it was the truth.

"She will find you wherever you are, as you can see," He continued, and Adam agreed with a nod.

"She had killed many who lost their lives for no reason than hers," Adam could hear the anger in His voice, "Mothers, fathers, children. Just like she did to yours," a pause and Adam wondered what He wanted from him.

"You may be reborn only to have her find you once more or you may become my angel, a warrior to stop her destruction of this world," He stated and Adam straightened himself and swallowed.

She killed his parents. She had corrupted him from birth. She is the devil. She is sin. She is a killer.

"I will become an angel," Adam kneed down on one knee bowing, "To stop her."

"Then it shall be," Adam heard Him say before he felt the palm against the back of his head.

Blinding light enveloped him and wrapped around his form, before dissipating into nothing. Standing, Adam's wings, dove colored feather, spread wide. Hood covering most of his face and armors decorated his chest, arms, and legs. A sword, heavy and long, was in his hand as he glanced at the pool.

'Your death is needed for the world to start anew,' he said watching the female looking up at the sky.

Your death is mine, Eve.
