LOG 8

(DAY 93)

( live recording)

I am telling you something is going very wrong. I am not proud to say it, but I had to abandon my base. it is kind of hard to live in a place that has ants everywhere. it does not help that the ants are roughly about my size. it is better I left that place before I became food for a couple of ant larvae. ( I wouldn't be very satisfying at the very least.). I did not even dare to explode the base, I don't want a group of ants my size chasing me.

okay, now is not the time for this. a serpent just tried to strangle me thankfully neither of us has the time to fight it out ( and thankfully I don't have a throat) because we are all running for our lives(I have found the snakes to be particularly violent group.)honestly, I don't know what I am running from, but in the forest, it is a smart thing to do what everybody is doing. if they are running for their life, you do it, because everything here wants to live( though I would suggest the opposite in any society.)

I know I am supposed to be scared here, but somehow I am not. I think I am very exhausted. it has something to do with the fact that nothing is trying to kill me in these few moments(minus the snakes, those beasts are almost suicidal.) you know how mentally exhausting it is to be on the lookout for ambush attempts. not being able to sleep does not help in any way. I have gained a very strong hatred of snakes. they are always like the snake that tried to strangle me, always falling from the branches, trying to crush my bones. thankfully, there is not much to crush in this body of mine, what is there doesn't break easily.

anyway, today I have seen a lot of beasts, many of them completely new to me, I even saw a group of humanoid beings, something I was not expecting. they have a greyish color skin to them. other than that they mostly look human. I wonder what exactly they are.

we are already in the tunnels. what is surprising to me is that even in the tunnels, there is no fighting. believe me when I say these beasts are bloodthirsty and even the most peaceful being will be out for your throat if they are cramped up in such a confined region.

anyway, thank God that there is no real fighting or do you think these caves would be able to survive the different types of spells that can be cast. well, this place would become a tomb in that case.

( after a while)

something weird is going on here because I am telling you the beasts are gathering together. I have been roaming in the tunnels, looking for an exit preferably not right in the middle of the human territory. anyway, I had passed a group of snakes (all varied species and colors), a group of wolves (not surprising, they are pack beasts), a group of apes, and the most weird, a group of chimeras.

chimeras are the Beast's that are very violent, too violent if I have to say so. there is a reason that I wanted to get rid of the chimera. it was too close to my base, if it were to take a stroll one day and find my base, it would be a battle where I most likely will die. ( it took me days of preparation and many explosive spikes to kill it) there is no way a group of chimeras would work together.

after quite a bit of traveling, we reach a region outside the dungeon. It is a plain grassland, with golden grass up to my stomach(the non-existent one). though I think I have found what it is that is our goal. it is a fortified village lying right ahead of me. it seems to have gone through some heavy combat. you can see the mixture of materials that have been used to repair that wall constantly. well, I have no idea why or how the beasts have suddenly managed to organize themselves so effectively but there is going to be a war over here. I feel it in my bones.

I am suspecting some kind of mental magic, very powerful at that. I don't know why I am not affected but I am thankful. mental magic is always the most terrifying.

( day 95 )

I can say for sure that the beasts of the dungeon are working under the command of an experienced commander.

we have not attacked in any form, other than a few earthquake spells by the chimera legion(

turns out that spell could have some scary effects with a group of chimeras,).

to be honest a fort in a plain is pretty hard to defeat unless you have specific machinery to do so. as far as I can say the only thing that they have is the combined earthquake spell and while it does seem to have some effect, the spell puts the chimeras under quite the risk. the enemy does have it's defenses. a legion of archers and god knows what kind of troops are holed up in this place. the only way that we can win is a battle of attrition. if it were to happen, we have a good chance. the beasts outnumber them ten to one at the very least.

thankfully, I don't need to worry about all of this. I am going to slip out of this place. while I am not exactly sure why the real battle has yet to start but once it starts a person like me has no real chance to survive.

thankfully, whatever magic is affecting the beasts making them so docile is not affecting me. I am thinking that it has something to do with the massive formation that I have mentioned previously.

I am going to most likely leave tomorrow. honestly, I wanted to leave the day that I came here, but I know nothing about the world. if possible I wanted to learn something about this world, but turns out I can't( there is nobody to talk to and you can only observe so much) it is too freaky to see these beasts, moving in such a mechanical manner, especially the chimeras.

those beasts are scary.

(DAY 96)

(live recording)

somehow, everything went right for me. this time, nothing stopped me as I left the pit. I have not spoken about the pit, have I. it is this massive space under the ground. that is where the beasts are using as their base of operations presently. while it is not an easily protected place(there is one entrance, which leads to an open area where the beasts are with no real possibility of a retreat. I know just how long it took the beasts to gather in that place.) I would have taken the initiative and completely crushed whatever beast is in that place. then again, I don't have enough information to see what is going on. while the dungeon is still pretty mysterious to me, I am pretty sure it is not an easy entity to deal with.

anyway, I have already escaped the fort. I am already entering familiar territory. honestly, I am closer to the ruined city than I had expected. then again.....

the world around me suddenly became black. I am feeling a very strong and familiar pain. I am dissipating at a rate that I had never seen before. I can barely think through the pain and with each passing second that pain pulses through me.

voice- so you have finally left, young one. I was expecting you to take even longer before leaving. you can call me dungeon Lord.

(as soon as that man spoke, I could feel the pain disappear almost in an instant. suddenly I can feel and see the world around me, I am right where the world had become black. the only weird thing was the old man that was standing in that place. at the first glance, it is obvious that the old man is kind of like the inheritance book of mine. he is a very elaborate illusion. I open my mouth to speak, only to have no voice come out)

dungeon lord - I temporarily took away your voice from you, so you don't bother me. honestly speaking I did not expect you to be so clueless about the world. just what kind of invader are you even supposed to be. you know you are supposed to have basic information about the world. idiots like you increase my workload by so much. regardless, I think that you shall be quite helpful.

okay, first of all, the world in which we live is divided between two factions. honestly speaking you don't need to know about the two sides, you figure that out on your own.

just know that there is a war going on. anyway, I have a task for you. you have already seen the fort, it is called the border city. I want you to conquer that city for me. I think that should be enough for you for now. you can now speak.

me - why should I do anything that you say.

dungeon lord- simple

(the pain returned to me in an instant. it felt like somebody was pouring lava right into my body, slowly roasting me to a crisp, time seems to have stretch, a moment becoming an eternity. the only thing that left in this world was the pain. )

me- stop, I will do whatever you say, just stop the pain.

( I am not even sure whether I was screaming or not. )

dungeon lord - sure

( the pain disappeared as soon as it came. I collected myself and found myself fallen to the ground.)

me( getting up) - I do not have the strength to conquer that city for you. I am a mere skeleton, I simply don't have the strength to make anyone listen to me, especially the beasts that occupy this place. anyway, I have no experience leading an army, I am no general.

dungeon lord - you are a hunter, skeleton. do you think that any skeleton can kill a chimera? those beasts are dumb, but they are not suicidal. they know what will kill them and what won't. as for no beast being willing to follow you, don't worry about that. they are my servants. they will follow who I command them to. now, I won't make you work for no benefits. I will give you whatever that I can get you.

me - let me sit for a minute.

( I don't know what to do now, the man in front of me can collapse my soul in a few minutes. I don't even know how he is doing it. for now, I think following him is the best choice. it is not like I have anything to lose. I know what I want anyway. )

me - I will work for you, as for what I want. I want you to deal with my speed problem. half of the reason that I can't fight is due to my slow speed. I am ready to give up the advantages of being a skeleton, just as long as I can fight in close combat properly.

dungeon lord - then I have the perfect thing for you. now, before I give you what you want I will be signing a contract with you.

( saying that he stretched his hand manifesting a piece of paper. somehow I could understand their language. anyway, the paper contains a series of conditions for me, such as me not being able to move a thousand kilometers from the dungeon, and a few other conditions. the other side has a single condition, that he won't be able to dissipate my soul(or kill me) unless I don't follow one of the conditions from before. it is a contract from alteron, the god of contracts. it is one of the more trustworthy kinds of contracts out there. anyway, I don't have much of a choice here anyway. )

(I left my mark on the piece of paper. the paper has burnt away establishing the contract. )

dungeon lord - now, to grant your wish.

( the old man waved his hand, and the world became black.)
