Sophomore Year: My Experience

I was in PE class when the school went on lockdown and the intercome system in the gym doesn't work so for awhile everyone in the gym didnt know what was happening. Then all the PE teachers told the students to line up and head into the locker rooms and they told us to do this in a nice and calm manner. We didnt know what was happening so we were getting our stuff together and taking out time. The teacher then grabbed the microphone and yelled "Drop you stuff and get into the locker room now" so we all then rushed into the locker room and we were all so confused and scared. Kids were trying to text and call home but our school locker rooms have no service so none of the calls or text were going through. Kids were crying and shaking and me and my friends were just looking at each other concerned and confused. After we sat in the locker room for a while the teachers then took us back into the gym and acted like nothin happened. When that class period ended i went to my next class and half of the students were gone and that qhen i finally found out what happened and that when i became scared and cunfused and angry. The gym is right next to the cafeteria and nobody in the gym knew what was happening. If the shooter was in the gym and waant stopped they couldve easily went into the cafeteria and got us because we didnt have a clue about what happened. I was thinking about if the shooter qento the class rooms where my brothers where andbif is be able to save them and i thought about if the shooter did come inro the gym i would do everything i could to stopbthem and save everyone else in the gym and how i would jump infront of a bullet for them.
