What I wanted

James POV:

I'm on my way now to the flower shop to collect the bouquet of flowers I ordered online for my surprise for Janet. I was excited since it's been days since the last time I saw her. I think that is the reason why I'm getting this entire dilemma with someone.

After I reached the flower shop and collected the bouquet of flowers, I went straight to Janet's office; her assistant told me she was still in her office. I also ordered take out's for her entire team. She will be happy seeing me, I miss her so much. It only takes me 10 minutes to arrive at her office building; I parked my car and went straight to the elevator. I really don't need to ask for the front desk, besides my company owns the building. I push the elevator button and waited for it to arrive, there are some employees waiting as well, women are staring at me and I'm used to it, as if they wanted me to be naked in front of them. An image came to my mind and shit I hate it, why is she always invading my thoughts?!

I tried to remove her from my mind. After 3 minutes the elevator door opens and the ride was pretty quick. Once I step outside her floor people started staring at me and smiling. They knew so well that I'm here to visit their boss. Her assistant went to me and ushered me to Janet's office. I knock on the door and waited for her signal. I heard she said to come in, so I did while hiding the bouquet in my back. She looked in my direction with a questioned look and uttered surprise. She stands up right away and run towards me and hugs me. I waited for her to release me and pulled the bouquet in front of her.

I saw again the smile I really wanted to see. She was perfect, my soon to be wife. When she took the flower, I hold her hand and pull her closer for a kiss. I kissed her passionately when another image came to my mind. I ignored the image and kissed her more. When we were out of breath we separated. I smiled and hug her. This is what I wanted, I said to myself.

"Babe, I can't breathe, can you now release me?" She said with a giggle.

"Oh, I'm sorry," I released her and holds her hand. "I just miss you, that's why" I was looking at the ring I gave her when I asked her to marry me.

"I'm sorry baby if we weren't able to see each other lately," she cupped my face and looking at me intently.

"Let's have dinner then later?" I asked her with a pleading look.

"Definitely yes for that offer" she pecks my lips and pulled me to the sofa. "I will finish everything and we will leave".

I sat on the couch and pulled my phone in my suit jacket to book a reservation for our dinner date. Italian I guess with being romantic.

After an hour we are ready to leave. "Let's go," Janet said while getting her purse and phone from her desk. "Where are we going to have dinner?" She asks.

"That's a secret, just wait and see" I tug her arm in mine.

"We will have a great night" I peck her lips and we left her office.

The drive was quick; we arrive at the restaurant after 10 minutes. I gave the key to the valet and we entered the restaurant, we were ushered by the waiter to our booth, I was holding her hand, we were talking about stuff, this is what I miss about us.

We ordered our food and the waiter left our booth. I was holding her hand and my thumb was making circles on the back of her hands. "Why can't you just live with me? We will soon be married" I said, looking at her hands.

"James, please we talked about it. We need space before we get married." She places her hand on top of mine.

"I just... never mind"

"You seem troubled? Tell me did something happen at work?" She squeezes my hand and concern in her face.

"Nothing... I think I'm just tired" I sigh.

"Sorry baby, if I'm not able to be with you lately"

"Let's have a vacation? We can go somewhere, out of the country, how about that?" I grin thinking of having time alone with her.

"Hmm... we can, but not that far, I can't file a leave for a week"

"3 days is fine for me when do want to leave?"

"Uhm… next week will be fine"

"Alright, I will email my PA to arrange this for us." an image pop into my mind. Shit!

The waiter arrives with a trolley with our food and the image disappeared right away. Thank god!

We were enjoying our food and after half an hour we decided to leave. We arrive at her condo after 15 minutes, once we are in the elevator, I grab her for a kiss, and we are making out until we arrive on her floor. She pulled me out of the elevator and we hurried to make to her door, once we entered her place I was already removing my necktie and shoes. She throws her purse on the kitchen counter and she removes her heels as well. The next thing we know we are making out at the countertop in her kitchen. I was like a hungry animal ready to eat his prey, I lifted her up and carry her in her room and drop her in the bed, her eyes pleading. I removed my clothes while she waited for me. After I strip everything, I was on top of her unbuttoning her dress shirt, god she really is beautiful. I kissed her in her neck down to her collarbone, my hand makes its way to her back to unclip her bra and throw it on the floor, I was making wet kisses on her body and then I reach for her skirt and unzip it, exposing her laced underwear. I make circles on her thigh teasing her. She was laughing when I look at her face. I quickly pulled her underwear down.

I woke up with the sound of my phone's alarm clock. I moved my hands when I felt Janet is no longer beside me. I open my eyes and the sun is already up, I sit up slowly and found my clothes neatly placed on the other side of the bed. I think she already left. I grab my phone in the nightstand and check the time and if there were emails or messages. It was already 08:00 AM; there were 23 emails, 1 text message. I stand up and grab my clothes and walk to the bathroom to prepare myself.

I check my phone again once I'm done, the message was from Janet.

Janet: Good morning love, sorry I didn't wake you up and leave with saying goodbye. I thought you're tired and need more sleep. I prepared some breakfast. Eat before you leave. I love you

Me: That's fine; yeah, I really slept well, thanks for the breakfast. Take care, I love you too.

I left her place after I ate and went to my place before going to work. I didn't bother to check my emails. They can all wait.

I was smiling while driving. Thinking about last night…
