6: Library Antics

Ty's POV

We walked in silence for most of the way back to her place. It wasn't awkward perse, I was just enjoying walking next to her.

"Where do you work?" I ask after a little while.

"I work at the local library. Nothing too extravagant, I rather enjoy it though."

She starts swinging her arms simultaneously back and forth slightly brushing her hands against her legs at the same time. It's like a nervous tick she's got going. She has this natural beauty about her; gorgeous. She's so intriguing to observe. I barely know her, but everything she does draws me in. It's an odd feeling, I don't even know how to describe it. "Why do you like working there?"

"Well, it's a relaxing atmosphere and sometimes I read the books here and there and it's nice to get away." She shrugs slightly emphasizing its simplicity. I smile at her. She's just so... pure. No one I've ever met.

We finally reach her place and head up to her floor. While she's pulling out her keys, but still doesn't look at me directly, "do you have any plans tonight?" She sounds a little nervous.

You know, nothing sounds better then spending more time with this girl. I shake my head after pretending to be deep in thought. "Nope don't think so." I say smiling at her. "Can't get enough of me I see." I realize I'm trying to make her feel a little more uncomfortable because it's amusing to see her blush even squirm a little.

She fiddles with the keys and brushes her hair behind her ear nervously. She smirks slightly and looks to me briefly before entering the house, "I guess not."

Damn, she's killing me.

I walk in after her and head towards the couch. She heads to her room to change, "I'll be out in a minute and then we can head out. I'll show you where I work!"

It's a quaint little store, old looking, but not ugly. I love it. It's perfect for Lilly. It says so much about her. It's not very big, smaller with red brick. There's a sign above the entrance that reads, "Le Coin." There's one big old window with a vintage pane that accentuates the display case quite nicely. There's a vine that's growing along side the building making it even lovelier. I'd work here too if I was her.

I grab the door for her letting her walk in before me and as I walk in it smells musty, but not bad, good actually. It just adds to it's charm.  Beneath the musty smell is a light hint of coffee since there's a little shop at the back with their personal barista. How splendid.

I end up going off in my own direction, familiarizing myself with the place. I'm flipping through books and magazines when I look up over all the book cases to spot Stella. She's chatting with a customer quite enthusiastically. Her smile is so bright, I love to see her smile it's so full and sincere reaching all the way up to her eyes.

I guess I don't really need to be here. She seems rather busy with customers, but I've really enjoyed being around her as much as I can. I can't really get her out of my mind it's driving me insane. Her long brown hair elegantly twirling down her back. She has such beautiful silky skin, I just always wanna touch her it's so soft looking. Is that weird? Probably. Let's not forget to mention that she's tiny. Ok, not to make it sound like that, but man it's kinda cute that she's so small and delicate. All I want to do is envelope her in my arms.

I catch her glancing in my direction while still trying to pay attention to the woman she's talking to and finds that I'm already staring at her. She blushes and turns back to the woman while tucking her hair nervously behind her ear. Adorable.

I guess a few minutes later, I'm not sure how long, but I must've dozed off because next thing I know I feel a faint tapping to my shoulder. There's a book on my face which I think I must've started to read before I slipped.

"Hey, you know you don't have to stay here. If you're tired you can go home."

The book slides off my face and I squint my eyes looking up at the beautiful girl; Stella. I sit up a little yawning and looking discombobulated. I hear her giggle next to me. Such a cute giggle too. Damn.

"Were the adult books not to your liking?" I look back up to her to find her holding a couple fingers to her lips trying to smother another giggle while looking at me.

"What?" I say groggily rubbing my eyes. Dang I must've really been out. "How long was I out for?"

"Oh not long, maybe like forty-five minutes or so. Look you're freaking the kids out." She laughs lightly.

I look around to find myself in the kids section reading "Timmy's Got the Willies" sitting on a neon lime green miniature couch. I chuckle a little to myself. I'm way too big for this couch. My knees are up to my chest and squishing my hips. I really do look ridiculous.

"Seriously though, get up, Issac wants the chair. He had to come grab me to see if you were still alive. He thought you were dead or something." She says chuckling.

I go to stand up and stretch very big making a loud moaning sound. My shirt rides up in the front briefly as I stretch. I look over at Stella she glances away briefly blushing. I smirk a little. I see this little boy come running up behind Stella and grab the back of her shirt timidly.

He looks up at me analyzing the situation and then runs to take a seat on the couch. "Good you're not dead. I waited patiently for the couch. My mommy told me I needed to learn patients, but an hour was too long. Thanks Stella!" He pulls out a book and begins reading.

I look back down at him with a big grin on my face. "Sorry bud." I say ruffling his a hair a bit before walking away with Stella. Cute kid.

"You should go maybe, you seem very tired. Don't feel like you have to stay."

I look at her with a "don't be ridiculous" look.

"Don't be silly, I'm enjoying myself. It's a nice calming atmosphere."

She looks up at me with those big bright hazel eyes that I love so much. "Ok well, I'll be off in about an hour or so, then we can head out."

I smile at her admiringly, "perfect."

We head over to the customer service desk because that's apparently where she usually finishes her shift at.

A man comes walking up to her just at that moment looking annoyed as hell.

"Excuse me, Miss I need a refund for this book. Look at it! It's completely mangled!"

I'm a few feet down from where they're talking trying not to look like I'm eavesdropping, but I can't help it this man is freaking loud.

"I can't believe you'd sell me a book that's ripped to shreds and drawn all over!"

"Oh dear, I'm so sorry to hear about your book. I highly doubt we gave you a book looking like that though. When did you purchase it?" Stella says with sincere concern.

"About 2 weeks ago." He says irritatedly.

"Well, why are you just now coming to return it? I'm sure both you and the employee that checked it out would've seen it if this book looked like this before you purchased it."

He slams the book down making Stella  jump and me to stand up at alert, ready to intervene at any moment. "You think I'm fucking lying?"

"Sir, I'm going to need to you lower your voice and stay calm." She says nervously.

He gets closer to her face pointing a finger touching her chest as he yells. "Don't tell me to calm down! I've been cheated out of my money!"

Hell no. I intervene right then grabbing his wrist and shoving him back away from her. "Don't you dare talk to her like that. I'm sure she can look at those security tapes that are at the checkout station to figure out the situation." I tell him seriously but quietly.

He looks even angrier, but flustered all of a sudden. He shoves my hand away from his chest. "Whatever, it's fine, I'll just keep the book. I'm never coming here again."

He storms off looking defeated shoving the front doors open to leave.

I roll my eyes and look over at Stella. She looks at me curiously, "you know, we don't have cameras up at the front."

I lean back on my elbows looking out in front of me and then sigh. "I know." I turn and smile mischievously at her. "But you should invest in some."

She gapes at me and then slaps my arm laughing all the while. "You liar!"

"No nu-uh, he's the liar!" I say amusingly while I put my arm up in defense of her assault.

A few minutes later the employees start to close up shop. I head to the front to wait for Stella.

"Have a great rest of your night Stella!"

"Thanks Lilly, you too." Stella says to her as she walks past me to leave.

Stella comes walking up to me as I push the button door open, she thanks me and walks through before I do.

We start walking down the street together back to her place since she lives just a couple blocks.

The moon is extra luminescent this evening, with Stella right next to me and the moons raise reflecting off her gorgeously soft skin, well, there's nowhere else I'd want to be. She's absolutely beautiful, inside and out.

As we walk next to each other, she looks up to me and smiles sweetly. I look down at her slightly since she is quite smaller than me. I look at her eyes and then down to her soft full lips. I lick my own to moisten them and then look down at her hands. I go to grasp her small warm hand with mine. She looks down and shifts her eyes nervously, but smiles.

"You're really somethin' Stella."
