Prisioner inside the void

If only

There were large rosy skin-looking figures standing in the large dark room, their faces were painted with white war paint, and some of them let out a creepy soft groan.

"Are these.. alive?" Somehow there was a creepy tone in the way Collem talked.

Dante continued his way to the mannequins without response, there was a grin on his lips almost too obscure to tolerate, and his eyes had rolled all the way back. "Oh, don't worry my little ones," he started while caressing one of the many mannequins faces, "no one can stop us now". He turned his gaze to Kenia and Collem and tilted his head in doubt. He stood there, without blinking, as if he caught himself in a limbo.

"What's wrong with Thomas, he hasn't woken up yet.." Collem changed the topic, trying to understand why he needed him here.

He blinked once, then twice, hesitating to answer. "Hit his head, I guess? Dunno, don't care," he shrugged. "Are you going to help me or not?"

"We still don't know what the plan is," Kenia responded almost immediately.

"I don't tell my plans to my enemies, traitor," he mouthed the last word.

"We're not enemies yet." Collem stepped in.

"She is," he looked to the side.

"Look she knows she made a mistake, she's willing to help out just give her another chance."

"Can you guys not talk like I'm not here!" She growled.

Dante sighed in defeat then nodded. "Fine. Another mistake and I'll kill you. Worse, I'll take out your eyes and bust your kneecaps then starve you to death."

Kenia rolled her eyes and tried not to imagine the scene. She glanced at Thomas, who was laying down on the mattress, his body resting peacefully almost as if in profound sleep; she let past the thought of him being dead because he was very still when he slept.

"So?" Collem asked.

"I have to make a call." Dante dismissed his brother's questions and sat next to Thomas, he pulled out his phone and made a call. The phone rang, until someone finally answered.

"Hi. Yes. He's here, everything good on your end?" Dante's expression remained expressionless keeping us from reading the situation.

"Ok, let's meet at the bar at 8." He hung up a couple seconds after.

"Who was that?" Collem asked again.

"Loyalty takes effort, I believe. How do I know if you guys are strong enough? I test you." He pointed at both Collem and Kenia.

When they tried to ask what that meant, the lights shut off replacing a red dim light.

Then a distant voice spoke: "Win and you'll be on my side, lose and you die."

Confused, Collem tried to comprehend the situation, while Kenia was already on the run to the door, which was locked.

"Stop this, seriously!" Kenia screamed.

"He's not here anymore, neither is Thomas.." As Collem turned around to look at his sister, he saw a body moving towards her. It was hard for him to adjust his sight with the poor lightning but he managed to warn his sister.

She blocked the attack with her arms, but the body pushed her back making her fall to the floor.

As Collem ran closer, he noticed that the body was a mannequin, which strangely had regained life. Skeptical, he turned around and realized there were 2 other ones following him.

They restrained them and locked against the wall with handcuffs. The mannequins didn't talk but they seemed to communicate through some unknown force, though something about them seemed childlike. One of them started sucking on his thumb while the other constantly mimicked Kenia's actions.

"We need to get out of here. There are only 3 here, the other ones must be outside. If we can somehow convince our brother.." Collem seemed hesitant to talk as if he lacked the ability to think.

Kenia sighed.

One of the mannequins, the most mature of them, made his way to Kenia and smiled. He opened his mouth and although Collem was unable to see, whatever Kenia saw petrified her; unmobilized she let the obscure mannequin put his strangely big mouth, and devoured her, like a black hole.

"SISTER! YOU BASTARD! YOU'RE GONNA REGRET THAT! BRING HER BACK, BRING HER BACK, OR I WILL.. I WILL.." Collem's body started shaking with anger and his hands bled from trying to bust the handcuffs, his once blue eyes turned red with anger as he bit his lips making them bleed.

The mannequin finished devouring Kenia without any disturbance from Collem, his face showing signs of enjoyment from his meal.

Then suddenly, the handcuffs which held Collem broke; his arms purple, veins showing fury in his blood, he tackled the mannequin and attacked him.

Over and over he punched the hard body, though it seemed to mean no harm on the mannequin. Collem became more furious when it tried to defend itself, grabbing it by the neck,, and even tearing apart his extremities. Something about Collem's actions seemed more obscure than the sole mannequin; the other two watched in amazement as Collem destroyed him ruthlessly.

Once the mannequin wouldn't move, Collem stood up, his body leaking blood, he whispered with a smirk, "Who's next.."

Then the lights turned normal again and the mannequins turned to their lifelessly still structure. Dante appeared before his brother and smiled.

"I knew you wouldn't disappoint me.. After all, we're twins, we're the same. You can't neglect that brother. Now come here." Dante opened his arms and pulled Collem into a hug.

"You're right brother, I'm sorry. I love you, ain't nobody out there who gets me more than you." Collem's eyes were still red, and his speech was a bit robotic, as if he was being controlled by some obscure part of himself.

"Right, right, let's get those wounds patched up. Then I have someone I want to introduce you to."

"Yes brother." He followed him down to another room and took care of his wounds. Once they were done, Dante gave his brother a suit for the 'grant ceremony' as he explained it.

The hotel was huge, glamorous in it's wealth, it had a total of 3000 rooms with 5 floors, 2 dining rooms and a giant pool.

Collem followed down with Dante to one of the dining rooms, as expected it was elegant with expensive decorations and lights.

"Hello, you must be Collem, Dante's twin brother. You guys really do look alike, though Dante's a lot taller. I'm Dr. Grimsbane, but you can call me Robert." The man didn't smile but he shook Collem's hand graciously, he was around his mid 30's and wore a beard that gave him a creepy look.

"Nice to meet you Robert." Collem replied and sat in his seat. There was wine served on the cups and all kinds of food on several bowls.

"Eat up, while I explain bro." Dante commanded, while Collem nodded.

Both Dante and Robert smirked, while they planned their evil plan, and Collem ate up like a puppy while he listened, he hadn't realized he had fallen prisoner under his brother's arms.

No one ever talked about Kenia's death.
