I don't like science

"Sheen!" I watched Charm as she approached me.

"What?"

"I thought you might want to borrow a shirt." She said as she waved one on her hands.

"Oh thanks." I told her and reached for it. "How'd you know I needed one?"

"Well I remember how you went around wearing that shirt which I happened to pour milk at." She chuckled.

"Oh! Well, I realized just now that it is a necessity to always bring an extra." I laughed.

"Let's head to the bath chamber." She dragged me. "You could've win earlier if only Blaze overcome the last hurdle. Well... I guess he's still not ready." What does she mean?

"You knew?"

"Knew what?"

"His fear of heights."

She contemplated for a second. "That's some common knowledge here. So, yes, I do." Why do I feel like she knows more than that.

"That's ok at least we were not eliminated from untying the knot." I joked to her because they were eliminated on that round.

"That's because instead of untying the knot, Fern did the opposite. I noticed that it doesn't get shorter, and that's when I realized he's doing it wrong." We laughed until we reach the bath chamber.

"Talie?"

Sasha called my attention. "Why?"

"We were looking for you." She said.

"And why?"

"We're wondering if you would join us later."

"Where?"

"We're having lunch outside." Outside? Where could it possibly be?

"Hey I'll get going first." I nodded at Charm and she left.

"I'll just change." I told Sasha and went inside of the bath chamber.

"Where are we going?" I asked them as we stepped out of the school.

"Can't you wait?" Sasha hissed at me.

"Yes I can't, so can you tell me now?" This is my first time eating out. And also my first time spending outside with friends. All my life, I spend it at Isolit alone. My brother visits the most and then my mother. I only had Lily as a servant from when I was young until I grew up, and Aren was the only mentor I had until I started schooling here. It feels different to be outside, where there is more than four people, though I miss them at times. I wonder what Lily is doing now that she doesn't have me to serve. I hope she's still there when I get back.

"Hey Talie!" Sasha snapped me out of my trance.

"What?" I blurted out.

"You kept asking where we're going but you didn't listen to us when we answered just now."

"Oh sorry. I was distracted. Where is it again?" I really didn't heard their answer.

"What were you thinking? Tell us first." Licia looked so curious.

"Was it Harris? He just passed by him." Sasha mocked.

"He did? Where?" I looked around. He's not here.

"No he didn't. We're just trying to confirm something." Siche butts in.

"Confirm what?" Sasha and Siche shared glances and chuckled. What was that? Blaze walked ahead of us and Sasha followed him then nudged him on his side. I watched them fool around, I always wonder what their relationship is. They look so fond of each other. I felt a pang of jealousy. What jealousy? I snickered. Why would I feel jealous? So what if he doesn't want to tell me anything about his life? I'm not interested.

"What are you thinking that's making you like that?" Siche spoke beside me.

"Like what?"

"Like... I don't know... Like crazy? First you look hurt then annoyed then you just sneered."

"You know you should keep your eyes on the road and not at me." He just laughed.

"Hey where did you get that shirt?" I suddenly felt conscious. The shirt Charm let me borrow was fitted. I was not used to it, I always wear loose ones because it makes me comfortable.

"Charm, why?"

"Oh." I noticed she contemplated with her next words. "You look better on fitted."

"I guess I look best on anything." The three of us laughed.

"So you're also shameless." Siche said.

"Shameless? I just thought it was a fact." My laugh faltered when Licia ran. I looked to where she's headed. Whoa! It's so beautiful. The sun shines through the whole ocean, it's almost blinding. There is a jetty on the right which extends up to five meters, I think, and on the end of it is a gazebo. Everything of it was made of wood. The ground is sandy and its color compliments the sun above.

"It's prettier at night when different colored faerieflies light up the sky." Blaze was suddenly beside me also looking at the surroundings.

"Where are they?" I realized the three was not here, did I wander too much?

"They already ran to the gazebo. And they're preparing our food."

Instead of heading to where the three are, I walked towards the water. So this is freshwater. "How big is this ocean?" Blaze laughed aloud. Why is he laughing. I scrunched down, holding my two legs with my left arm and my right playing with the water. "I always wanted to go to the ocean. It's amazing seeing one." Blaze kept laughing beside me. I looked up and glared at him.

He bend down and used two fingers to straighten my furrowed brows. "Hey vixen. It's not an ocean."

"What?"

"That's a lake." Lake? Is it different? I thought anything that looks like this is called an ocean.

"Well, I don't like science." He laughed harder.

He placed his index finger on my forehead. "We studied that in history." He pushed me and I landed on the water. What the?

"Hey I used all of my luck on getting this extra shirt! Now it's all wet." I pouted. "It's just land, ocean and mountains. What lake are you talking about."

"How did you manage to place third on your class last year if you don't even know what body of water you're seeing." He asked while laughing.

"Shut up! You know my records are a lie." I rolled my eyes at him.

"I think they're finished preparing, let's go." I ignored him. "Hey!"

I lay on my back, letting my lower body get soak more. "Go to them. I'll enjoy my time here at the... lake." Then I mumbled nonsense.

"You ain't hungry?" I turned to my side, not facing him. "You always act like a spoiled child." Then he lift me up. My body leaving the water the same time strong wind blew, I felt so cold. I automatically scooted closer to Blaze's chest.

"Put me down."

"I don't really think you want me to." He chuckled. He held me tighter when he felt me shivering from the coldness. He walked to the water. "Do I put you down now?" He acted like he's going to drop me in the water. I wrapped my hands on the back of his neck.

"Stop it's cold." I averted my gaze.

"Hey if you'll play around, we'll be feasting on the food without you." Siche left after saying that.

"If you're not hungry, I am. I'm leaving you here." He finally put me down.

"I never said I wasn't." I ran to the gazebo seeing the three already eating.

"You couldn't wait even just a minute?" I nagged at them.

"Two minutes later you will be ranting on how fast we finish all this up." Siche said.

"So we advise you to eat now before there's nothing left for you." Sasha said in between bites. I looked for a place to sit but no need, Blaze already pulled me beside him. We were sitting in circle, Blaze on my left then Sasha, Siche and Licia. They brought plenty of fruits, there's also sandwiches and some snacks that I never seen before inside the palace.
