Planet of Hoth Before the massacre of the local Wampas.

The day before yesterday roughly 500 Mandalorians arrived at Alpha Base. While the General was forced to resign and left the day before. Mandalorians were running all over the place in an attempt to prepare for the attack. Other than Jack and Lantern the rest of the personnel on the base would be required to stay and defend the base.

"Where are the scouts who discovered the whereabouts of the Wampas?" Lantern quickly saluted and ran forward with Jack. As both were under disguise they weren't allowed to reveal they were a part of the famous Ghost unit.

"Sir! That was the both of us!" Both men remained at attention until the Mandalorian Captain after inspecting them both.

"You failed to follow protocol from my understanding and lead these beasts back to our Alpha base. It is your responsibility to follow through and fix your failures." Both of them already knew what was happening as they were already informed ahead of time by the Uppers up. Hence they already made plans on being nearby when reinforcements arrived.

"Of course Sir! We would have it no other way!." Both of them were excited to help fix their earlier mistake. The Mandalorian Captain looked at both of them and was satisfied with the outcome. He was hoping the two scouts were cowards that they would be able to count on. Deciding he was happy with the outcome he started walking away from the two,

"Permission to speak freely Sir!" Lantern kept fidgeting in an attempt to look like a lower rank when speaking to an Officer of a higher rank.

Stopping the Captain he turned. "Permission granted."

"I'm not sure how well verse your into the reports but the Chain guns that tore through the beast will not be as effective outside in the cold. As matter of fact it only worked as well as they did because they were kept inside the hanger." Lantern was nudged by Jack telling him to keep quiet. Their report was already filed so of course this Commander would know the small details.

"I appreciate the information Private but I've already read the entire report three times. I will not allow for any mistakes this time. Commander Ri'lah expects this to be handle perfectly without any deaths." Hearing that the Captain was in direct contact with Ri'lah Lantern kept quiet and nodded.

Planet of Hoth Outside of the Mountain Range: 1 Kilometer from Wampa Dwellings

The Mandalorian Captain pulled out a rough map of the mountains

"Platoons 1 and 2 will set ambush points here and there at the base of the mountains. While Platoons 3, 4, 5 and 6 will enter the Mountains via dropping from transports. Companies Blaustoise and Charizard will insert from the other side of the mountain and push them towards the ambush points. Any questions so far?" A random Mandalorian Sergeant raised his hand. "Go ahead."

"Sir. Are we sure they aren't embedded into the Mountains? How should we act if we come across cave systems or structures?" Small murmurs escape from the many platoon leaders and company leaders. The Mandalorian Captain turned towards the scouts from earlier.

"As far as we could tell we found no structures within the mountain. Our guesses would be they earlier have a tunnel system they use or just have natural cave dwellings." Lantern quickly stepped forward and provided information before falling back in line.

The Mandalorian Captain nodded, confirming the information from the scout. "We have no need to risk getting trapped in any caves. Enter only about five meters before placing charges and leaving. Dismissed."

There wasn't much to see; the operation went as smooth as a whistle as the wampas were completely overwhelmed by the numbers and the ambushes. And any cave that they came across collapsed with explosives. The whole thing only took a few hours.
