Being an Actress Who Got in through Connections (2)

"Just so you know, they are correct," Jaehyun added. "You should not arrive at the set on time."

As she could not believe her ears, Mina just stomped on Jaehyun's feet. Everyone around them stared at both of them.

Like a reflex, Jaehyun was still seen smiling as he looked around with an awkward laugh. "We are really close, don't you think?" He wrapped his arms around Mina's shoulders and leaned her head closer to her. "How dare you stomp your feet on me?"

Mina joined the pretense and smiled at him, "Why? As you said we are close, right? I can do this much to you!"

"What do you mean?" Jaehyun's tone became deeper the more he was getting more annoyed. "Did you forget that I am your senior for several years? You dare to do that?"

Mina just stuck out her tongue like she was trying to provoke Jaehyun even more. "So what?"

"It is great that the two of the main characters are already close," The assistant director spotted both Mina and Jaehyun bickering with each other. "Do you guys know each other before?"

"No," Mina accidentally raised her voice and abruptly replied that made the situation awkward. She faked a smile, "I mean. We are just acquainted since most actors and actresses have connections already and the industry is a little bit big but easy to meet a lot of people."

Jaehyun just stood there and did not say anything. so Mina continued, "Right, Jaehyun sunbae?"

"Yes," Jaehyun shortly replied as Mina nudged his waist for him to answer.

"That is great," The assistant director was a little bit on the chubby side. He wore eyeglasses, and his droopy eyes focused on Mina. He wore a checkered long-sleeved top, white undershirt, and jeans. "It is great to know that the two of you already have great chemistry!" Staring at Mina from head to toe, he added. "Mina. You should change your dress with the school uniform so that you can start getting your hair and makeup done as soon as possible;."

Dumbfounded, Mina took a few seconds before she replied. "Yes, PD-nim!"

The assistant director chuckled, went on to the main PD, and started setting things up, ordering and organizing things.

Jaehyun, who was still standing right beside Mina, spoke, "This is the main reason why as the main lead of a drama, you should come at least one hour before the shoot starts. You need to get your hair and makeup done first since you will be having to shoot most scenes. "

Jaehyun and Mina exchanged gazes, but Mina rolled her eyes as a response.

"I am giving you a piece of advice as your senior and you---" Jaehyun lowered his voice and continued. "You dare to your senior?"

"Yes, I dared to do it," Mina sarcastically replied. "Aren't you the main character as well? Why are you not still wearing your clothes?"

"Men do not need too much hair and makeup but women do," Jaehyun seemed to be exasperated and remarked. "Your manager should be the one who's going to explain this. Where is he?"

"The manager I am with just led me to a battlefield," Mina explained. "That woman did not even seem like she cared for her artist at all."

Seo Jaehyun raised his left brow and grimaced. "Woman? Wasn't your manager your boyfriend as well?"

"It's a long story, he becomes my manager only at certain times that he wants," Mina vaguely explained and went on. "Sunbae, do not ask about him anymore and do me a favor to keep everything a secret. Okay?"

It seemed like he was about to retaliate, but it was already time for Mina to get her hair and makeup done. It really took her at least forty minutes to do both, and she realized that she really was still a newbie for this.

Never did Mina think that hair and makeup for a high schooler would take that long. But then again, she was an actress who should take pride in her looks as well, so that must be the reason why.

Mina became more confident as she did a mini fashion show of the school uniform she wore. The uniform resembled a suit style, navy blue as the main color of the suit, and the short skirt while the inner long-sleeved shirt was white as usual.

She managed to do a bullying scene where she was being ganged up on the bully girls and had to act like a lackey. The director praised her for acting well while maintaining the lines as well. Everything went well for Yuna that day.

Not until it was already ten in the evening, and the director invited them to have a meal together. She wanted to escape so badly and rest, but she knew she needed to attend it or be blacklisted.

They gathered all the staff, makeup artists, stylists, cameramen, and almost everyone. Of course, the main PD, assistant PD, and the main actresses and actors were gathered at the same table. After they finished having their meal, the assistant producing director sat next to her and even asked her to pour alcohol on his glass.

The atmosphere seemed festive and welcoming to all, and Mina knew that if she tried to reject the assistant PD wanting to pour alcohol for him, everything would be ruined. This director was known for being a little over the top and seemed to be interested in young rookie female actresses such as Mina.

Pouring alcohol to older men seemed like a degrading thing for some, but if she thought about it carefully, nothing was wrong with it as long as nothing is implied aside from just pouring some alcohol on that soju glass.

The assistant producing director suddenly spoke while Mina poured alcohol on his glass. It seemed like the old man was getting a little bit drunk, "Why don't I pour you a glass of soju as well then we drink it with our arms intertwined with each other?"

Is this damn old geezer serious?
