Fallen In Love with Her Charms

"I won't do it, Oh PD," Mina firmly replied.

"Why?" Oh Producing Director whined; his cheeks were becoming redder as time went by as the effect of the alcohol. Everyone at the table suddenly became awkward and did not know what to do anymore. The atmosphere tensed as both of them started showing resistance to each other's actions.

"Why?" Mina raised his brows sassily. "Because I just said so,"

Seo Jaehyun observed the director's face and he looked dumbfounded. His reaction was fun to watch. He became dumbfounded as well and when he looked at other people's expressions, they were the same. After all, directors are the second person that you don't want to aggravate next to a top actor or actress.

Blinking his eyes in awe, Jaehyun did not expect Mina's comeback. He really thought that she would be kissing her way and please every higher up she met. That was why she got the role, because of the affiliated connection of his company.

Or was it that she had the guts to reply like that because of her untouchable connections?

But then, the director is really known for having such trashy behavior and getting away with it because of him being a renowned director.

"Are you serious?" Director Oh lowered his voice and said. "Or are you just playing hard to get?" He nudged her with her elbow and said, "Will you not do that for me?"

Forcing himself not to puke, Jaehyun looked elsewhere and could not spectate anymore. The director was acting cute and it was sending goosebumps all over his body.

"I am not pretending hard to get, director," Mina replied as her voice became firm. "You asked me to pour alcohol for you regardless of what I want. That was okay. But if you are asking me to link our arms and drink a shot of soju together? No, director. I have the right to decline."

Director Oh looked surprised and did not expect Mina's retaliation. There was an awkward silence and he could be seen drinking the glass of water in front of him. He was probably more embarrassed than ever.

"You should refrain from calling rookie actresses by their first names. Give the same respect that we give to you as well." Mina tilted her head to the right and her eyes exuded more charisma than anyone else. Those were the same eyes he saw whenever she saw her act standing up against bullies during her scene earlier. "Ah. I think others are afraid to tell you, director. You have such a bad breath as well, please cover your mouth whenever you talk."

Mina could be seen clowning the director as she leaned away from her and became closer in proximity to Jaehyun that the back of her head already touched his left cheek. The smell of her hair was a combination of herbal essences, strawberry, and sweet mint.

It was the first time Jaehyun was drawn to a woman's hair scent. It was sweet.

Everyone tried to hold their laughter. For sure, they observed the same thing as well and did not have the guts to do the same as what Hong Mina did.

The look that the director made was definitely satisfying for all the rookie actresses out there. This old man tended to disrespect them and even do something out of the line. It was annoying even for Jaehyun to see.

For some reason, he did not only want Mina to be the hero today.

He wanted to leave an impression as well.

"Director Oh," Jaehyun called him over. "It looked like you would have to excuse yourself." He smiled as he continued, "Look at Miss Hong being nearer to me because he did not want to smell your breath from there."

"Pfft," One makeup artist almost stifled a laugh but she managed to stop when the director glared at her.

Being embarrassed with the whole situation, Director Oh excused himself by standing up and leaving the scene with his glass of soju. Jaehyun could see Mina smirk as she accidentally met his gaze. Her facial expression did not change and she just took a sip of her glass filled with water.

Leaning over for a whisper, Jaehyun lowered his voice. "I admire your guts for doing that."

Seo Jaehyun was falling for her charms. She was charismatic, poised, and always knew how the world worked but retained her tough reversal charms behind her innocent face. It was the first time that she fixed his gaze at someone again.

Falling in love would be quite early. Seo Jaehyun did not even know how to differentiate acting and the real world. As long as he delivered a good performance, that was already the best for him. For him, feelings like love and attraction only hinder your work and business relationship with your partner.

But he wanted to do an exemption for her.

Hong Mina was a special woman. Beautiful, hardworking and is not innocent at all. He was charmed by her because he could see himself in her.

"Really? It did not really seem like it, though?" As usual, Mina responded sarcastically and raised her brows. She was seen doing her fake smile again, "But I appreciate you for standing up for me so you deserve a head pat."

Before he could even respond, Mina already raised her right hand and patted his hair. Even though he was so sure that Mina was smiling fakely with her eyes, he could not help himself get even more attached to her.

He caught himself staring at her too much that he cleared his throat and said, "Do you know that your eye smile looked so fake and forced?"

"You are just saying that," Mina dropped her smile into a frown and rolled her eyes. "Do you know how many men fell in love with the way I smile?" She tucked her hair behind her right ear and added. "I am known for being peachy and how refreshing I smile."

Tch. Instead of feeling annoyed, he just gave her a toothy smile. For some reason, it was as if he was sending hearts using his eyes.

Did he really not fall for her charms at all or was he just being denial?
