The Tables Turned?

"You are finally home father." Ethan said as he saw Aiden who wheeled their father on a wheelchair into his room, "This time I will make sure that you take care of yourself properly. Aiden…"

He was about to tell him to take care of father's medicines regularly, but swallowed his words when he saw his brother's 'in not-so good condition' face.

"Yeah?" Aiden looked at him with questionable eyes.

"Well nothing… make sure that dad is comfortable with everything before coming out. I will leave now."

After Ethan left, Aiden helped his father with everything before standing up and asking, "Anything else?" 

Tyler knew that his son's mood had been affected ever since that incident in the hospital.

He blamed himself for not realizing it earlier and letting the thing go so out of hand. Maybe he should have told Ella to leave as soon as he saw that a new visitor had come in with Aiden. 

After having a conversation with  Riely, he understood that his naive daughter- in-law had been tricked into talking about certain sensitive talks regarding Aiden's marriage with Moore family's daughter. (Step-daughter)

Ella had very cleverly brought up the topic about herself and Aiden, which made Riely quite emotional and made her act this way...

Several years back, when Ethan and Riely were still dating, Riely had gotten pregnant which led to them getting married.

It was then, an unfortunate car accident had caused the entire family to turn into a mess.

The Smith family lost the Matriarch of the family; who was also the mother of Ethan and Aiden, along with a little baby who had yet to see the world; Riely had had a miscarriage…

Things took a worse turn when the doctor said that after this accident, it would be almost impossible for Riely to give birth.

At a very young age, Aiden lost the love of his mother and Riely lost her chance to become a mother.

Riely gave Aiden the support and love which could be compared to that of a mother. Both of them had a very special relationship, she wanted nothing else, but her family to always be happy. 

When Ella happily talked about Aiden in front of her, Riely got carried away. She thought that maybe Aiden could finally find his happiness with Ella.

Following their meeting, the Moore family had already come to visit him in the hospital with several expensive gifts and even today, they were going to come for dinner. 

Tyler could tell that Aiden was slightly disappointed with Riely because of what she had done. She had arranged today's gathering after all. But he could not bring himself to blame her, she had been tricked by Ella into arranging it, Tyler was about seventy percent sure of it. 

"She is good at indirectly plotting against someone. It is somehow a very dangerous trait. I don't know whether it would be good or not if she would come into this family…" Tyler mumbled. 

"What happened dad?" Aiden who was adjusting his father's blanket asked when he heard him murmuring something.

"Ah...? No, nothing. Oh, tell me more about your friend from that day." As Tyler had expected, as soon as Aiden heard about that girl, his eyes turned into beautiful crescents. 

He smiled and replied, "Are you talking  about Maya? She had left the Capital a few days ago. She's busy with her company, you know." 

"Yes-yes I know." He could not forget the talks they had when she had come to visit him in the hospital.

Tyler could tell that she had a good upbringing and was very good at her work. "She stays in Zed city, right? It's not far and it only takes about an hour to travel from there to here. Tell her to come and spend some time with this old man." She knew a lot about how to manage a company for a young lady who was only at the age of about twenty-five.

After Maya and Aiden had left his ward that day, Mr. Smith had tried to continue their conversation about business management with Ella also.

He had thought that she would also be interested in talking about it because she was going to take over the Moore industries in the coming future. 

Ever since Mr. Smith had announced his retirement, a lot of his business friends had contacted him, requesting for him to become a mentor for their children. After all who would like to miss a chance to become a student of a veteran businessman? But Tyler had not expected Ella to avoid all these talks and instead run away from it!

"Maya I'm telling you… Please let's go there together, please?" Ashely childishly asked Maya when the meeting room was finally free from all the other people. 

"But I had gone there just several days before!! And tell me what is the need for me to go with you? Are you a child? No, right?" 

"Tsk. But-" Ashley was still trying to convince Maya to head to the Capital city with her.

She was going there to meet with the new artiste, Alyssa. Lily had sent Maya her schedule, but Ashely wanted to meet her face to face.

She had decided that although Lily would be handling Alyssa, she herself will look over everything personally. And that was why she was going to the Capital to check up on her. 

"No 'But's'. Who will be at the company if I also go-" 

*Ring-Ring*

Suddenly Maya's phone rang. It was Aiden.

"This guy has been calling you since so long!" Ashely had seen Maya receive his call during the meetings, but didn't know much about him.

Maya never allowed usage of phones during meetings, this rule was applied on herself as well. But strangely, calls from 'Aiden' were an exception.

Maya ignored Ashley's face which was filled with the word 'GOSSIP' written in bold letters, and talked to Aiden for a while….

"Okay, let's go. I will go with you to the Capital." After keeping her phone, Maya told Ashely with a straight face. 

Ashely: "!?!"

She had been begging her to come with her since so long, and Maya did not budge. Now with only a single call from this man, the tables turned?
