In Trouble!

"Director Noah, she is the one right?" A man pointed at a name listed on the document which consisted of all the people who were going to come for the audition today. 

"Yeah… He had told us about her. Now let's see if her performance is good as well." Noah, the director of the remake film of 'Pretty Woman' said. 

"She will come after two more auditionees." The assistant director said. "Next!"

"Do your best okay? Today CEO Maya and Special Assistant Ashely will be coming to see you. Although they won't mind if you did not get this role, you can give them a better impression of yourself if you actually do get it." Lily who was sitting besides Alyssa said. 

At the moment, Alyssa was reading the part of the script which she would be auditioning for.

 It was a complicated story of a widowed woman who falls in love with a married man. The twist was that the man's marriage was on the verge of breaking down but his wife didn't want a divorce for the sake of their kids. 

In the end the female protagonist; the widowed woman reassures the legal wife that she was also a woman who longed for kids and would never treat them badly.

The role that Alyssa was trying for, was 'the friend of the legal wife.'

Throughout the story, her character, Lai, gave emotional support to her friend, she told her that since no one was happy in the marriage, she should not hold on to it and let go. Even her kids were fine with it.

Despite that, she helped the legal wife to scheme against the 'pretty woman' or the pitiful widowed woman several times.

As the story proceeds, both Lai and the legal wife realize that the woman is really sincere with her feelings, and eventually the male protagonist and pretty woman end up together. 

"I know that this might not be the first role you had ever thought of, after all based on the skits that you posted on your social media platforms... they were quite lighthearted and funny. But trust me, being a part of a high budget film, is something that everyone wants for their debut. And since your character Lai, is directly linked with the second female lead, you will surely get some exposure." Lily gave her reasons to Alyssa for making her take part in such a role. 

"It is fine, you don't need to worry." Alyssa assured Lily. She felt happy that Lily had actually changed so much. In the beginning she was quite obnoxious but about a month later she was actually a very different person, in a good manner. 

"Next!" Came the voice of the assistant director.

"Alyssa, it's your turn. All the best. Don't pressure yourself. it's okay if you can't get the role!" Lily said enthusiastically. 

After that she left. 

"She looks good. If she weren't a new girl, I would have casted her as the female lead!" The assistant director said as he looked at Alyssa. 

"To be honest, the audition for this role is not even that important, there is nothing much one can do to showcase her acting talent for this character, but…"

Alyssa felt a bit uncomfortable by his gaze but she ignored it, she had already been warned about it by Manager Davis. 

"Okay so you have read the script right?" Noah asked her. Without waiting for her to respond, he continued,  "I want you to act in this scene." 

Alyssa looked at the scene he wanted her to act and was a bit shocked, because director Noah actually wanted her to act in the scene which belonged to the second female lead.

It was when the legal wife discovers that her husband was really ready to divorce her.

"Yeah sure."

After about fifteen minutes,  Alyssa finally came out of the audition room, she had a stunned expression.

"What happened?" Lily was already feeling a bit worried because it was taking too long and looking at her expression right now, she was sure that something was wrong. "I told you, no one gets a role in their first audition,  it's alright if you also didn't get it..."

"No Lily, I got the role. I actually got the role!!" Alyssa was so shocked because manager Davis had told her that this director Noah almost never gave roles to girls without any bad advances, but she just simply acted the scene and got accepted! 

"Oh?" Apparently even Lily had not expected for it to go so easily.

Just then, "We have concluded the auditions for the third lead, everyone can leave. Miss Alyssa and her manager, please come in." A guy from the staff came and announced. 

His announcement created a lot of commotion, a lot of people had come here to try out their luck today.

Only one-fourth of the auditionees had gotten a chance and the results were already decided? This wasn't a fair chance for everyone.

Almost everyone leaving, gave disdainful eyes to Alyssa. She had remained in the audition room for the longest, and was selected. Others had come out within about six to seven minutes only.

Lily held Alyssa by her shoulders and took her in, "You don't need to pay attention to them. Let's go."

"Miss Lily, I am impressed by your artiste this time as well." Noah praised Alyssa. Lily just smiled in response. 

Both of them had known each other  because, in the Capital city branch of Supreme Starlight, two of the most famous talents had been managed by Lily and had worked with Director Noah.

But now they had been shifted to some other management since Lily had gotten demoted. All of her hard work had been wasted due to her own foolishness.

But she was not complaining. Along with Ashely, even Lily had promised to herself that she would make Alyssa the next top actress. 

"Let's talk?" Lily knew that this man was up to no good, it was already a surprise that he had not created a fuss, and given Alyssa a role.

"There is nothing much to talk about. As you know, the details would be sent to you by tomorrow morning. And now that all the auditions have finished, you know the protocol, right?" Assistant director looked at Lily and asked. 

Since Lily had worked with them in the past, she knew that whenever Noah's films started, before the official announcement he held gatherings amongst all the crew members to make them familiar with each other. He must be talking about that. 

"Yeah. Is it today itself?" She asked. 

"Yes, today evening, See you there." 

…

Both Maya and Ashely had arrived and were heading to the Supreme Starlight office.

"I had talked with Lily, it seems that we will not be able to meet up with them today. And Surprisingly she got the role!" Ashely informed Maya who was going through her phone. "Oh. She is nice, I had met her last time." 

Suddenly Maya's phone started ringing, "Hello?"

"CEO Maya please help us! I think we are in trouble!!"
