by having everything happen at once.
A mate is your soulmate the other half of your soul that completes you, once you loose that part you also loose a part of yourself forever taking you to the bridge of insanity then death. You can become rogue, an animalistic driven wolf that kills whatever lays in its path or you can decide to join your other half.
Melissa stared down at his lifeless baby blue eyes as the tears leaked from her dam, the pain also striking Lyca who showed herself from her glassy golden eyes that couldn't stop the leaking dam. Both her and her beast had lost someone close to her heart her bloodlust needed revenge.
She turned towards the person responsible for all this, the person who too stared blankly at the fallen body from below her mate's back.
Was he now happy or was he now pleased, she didn't care how he felt as she took her shift and clashed at his image. The image shifted once the shock came, her claws dug into the chest of another, one with more muscles and tingles that spread all over her body. She was stunned but didn't pull out. Lyca needed to vent her anger on somebody and who better than not Devaro.
Life was never meant to be easy but one never thought it would be this hard especially when it comes to loosing someone you care about.
"Move"
She snarled sharply digging more into him while he groaned out yet he stayed where he was protecting someone whom he shouldn't protect.
"No..... Devaro good not bad"
At that moment he hated the fact he couldn't explain further to defend the only one person he considered a friend, the only person he has known his own life. He wish Melissa would ask him questions so he would be able to explain further. but even he knew her beast wasn't in the mood for questioning but action.
Her beast withdrew her claws shaking at his refusal as a defiance for her power. She sung her blood out from her veins releasing the aura that weakened other wolves, his body shivered from it but still didn't yield.
This was what Melissa feared all along. If she had accepted him or given him a chance to win her affection the way the old day were, she knew she would loose. Igaro despite not being a full Lycan but half demon from a freak experiment. The fact he was her mate an equal for her, only he had the power to be her strength and her weakness. She felt angered at herself, at the bond, at Selene, at the Hectate and being hope.
How could she be Hope when she was loosing everything.
With angered strength, She threw him aside wanting nothing more than to have traitorous blood on her hands.
Another obstacle came forward.
"Melissa wait!!!"
Her arms were spread out even that was too much strengths for her in her weakened state She was soaked in her own blood mostly from her chest where Devaro had striked yet she had managed to crawl to his front and protect him once again. Melissa growled, fuel with more anger to kill.
"No Melissa stop he didn't mean it he was also charmed"
She didn't want to listen, she step behind her staring straight into those hypnotic dark blue eyes that stared right back at her, his sneaky attitude was none existence, his coy smirk gone. He knew he couldn't be safe and part of him wasn't guilt and Melissa knew this.
"Devaro isn't the bad guy"
Molly yelled from behind wanting to step forward again but drained from the blood lost, Micage was by her side as she fell sideways her eyes never left Mel.
She became the true angel of mercy. Even Igaro had left the talking to her in hope she could save him.
"He was charmed by that demon lord Erasmus, Mel that demon caused this not Devaro"
We often doubt when we are right but we are always confident when making mistakes and this was one Melissa so badly wanted to make, She growl while her hand stretched out to grasp his neck
"Erasmus is the lord of the seven deadly sin, he can only be able to influence Devaro with what he holds deadly just like how one can be influenced by either light or darkness he was influenced by his Jealousy"
It was true.
She knew about his darkness, she once embraced it because it was just like hers, she knew of his wants.
Erasmus like any other demon didn't have powers like the Magicals, they were the temptation of sins, the darkness that loomed behind light.
"Even if Devaro was influence by jealousy and is as evil as you think then why didn't he kill you or kill me or kill Xander and the others immediately he had them locked up. All he wanted was a Family all to himself, his intentions might have been selfish but even you know he could never kill us. You said it yourself that Devaro would never hurt you he loves the fact of having a family too much to do damage"
She did recall, she had said the exact same words to Xander when he was worried about Devaro getting back at her for taking the title from him. She admits there wasn't any trust in their relationship but one thing was clear, they had a connection of such. They were both victims in this crazy world.
"Little sister"
Her attention was back towards him, she had just realized that her hand was wrapped tightly around his neck. His eyes called her, it spoke the emotions his face didn't display.
"Do what you must".
Brothers are like streetlights along the road, they light up the path and make the walk worthwhile. It broke her to admitted that she had just lost a brother to save another.
*****
Sorrow and grief, they all wanted to consumed themselves in it, wanted to burry the dead and move on.
Sometimes the memories are worth the pain they do a good job of staying positive and forcing us to move on but grief will always be in two parts. The first is loss. The second is the remaking of life.
It was night time outside, the moon came out early, a new moon that started to bleed. It bled red, covering the world with blood red color it was a frightening sight.
Everybody tensed as the red moon was here and they had already lost. Hope was suppose to revive peace and she had to revive the world.
The halls were cleared out everybody had left for the shelter while the able fighters gadget up for the war that was yet to start.
"Lisa?"
Thomas came marching towards the twins and Igaro, his eyes were bloodshot and glassy behind his thin trimmed glasses.
Melissa walked ahead to enlovpe him in a hug, a hug of reassurance, a hug to help stand. You don't choose your family. They are god's gift to you, as you are to them.
"I'm so sorry Tom, I shouldn't have let this happen I should have been more focus"
He surprised her with a glare
"Hush! Now Lisa, none of this was your fault"
The dam broke again. Xander and Thomas though not her blood were family, even If they fought, If they Irritated each other or even If they got angry with one another they never hate rach other. They were family, the only rock Mel knew that stays steady, the only institution she knew that works.
"But... But"
"Enough!! I don't want to hear it, we have a war starting and Lydia to find, enough of that"
She sniffle nodding her head vigorously and trying to get herself. Thomas pained brows rose up in discomfort at seeing her in pain, hell he was in pain, his wolf was in pain, even the whole kingdom was in pain. He let out a laboured breath before flickering his eyes to her neck where A fresh mark was planted at the right side of her neck.
"Lisa? You?"
"Mate?"
He was cut off as his gaze was moved to Igaro, his eyes landing on the identical mark at the other side of his neck.
"Lisa?.... You?... You?"
He never got the words out through his sudden dry mouth cause a growl from Micage cut him off again.
"We don't have time for this, we have to get to Isha right now"
Time was gone, now they had to race.
They all nodded, Thomas let out a pained breath.
"Well I guess I'd now be the one to lay into his ass"
Melissa let out a weak laugh.
"After I have a piece first"
Thomas smiled warmly at her knowingly.
Then suddenly their mood damped the more knowing someone else was out there in the chaotic world lost and consumed in sorrow. It made Melissa antsy as the realization stuck her eyes kept flickering to where she was last seen, a blonde wolf racing out with her tail tuck under and fur damped in blood. They had to get her not only physically but mentally, they had to save the remaining half of her soul, had to be her anchor to stay and not join her other half, they needed her here more than she thought, they couldn't loose more of themselves. The crack was there but it could still be mended, one more crack would destroy it.
Death ends a life, not a relationship.
"We'll find her Lisa"
Life is like riding bicycle. To keep your balance, you must keep moving.
She nodded back.
"Wait!!"
Devaro came marching in with Molly by his side all eyes turned to the duo and mostly Molly they were surprised to see her well and walking with no deep gashes on her skin except for the blood stains on the bloody gown.
Thomas let out an annoyed growl at one particular presence, his wolf shared in on his anger.
"Why does he still breath Lisa?"
His growled out words were heard and cut through the tension.
"We have no time for that this is more serious the red moon is here"
Molly replied by snapping angrily, she looked vexed and mostly scared. They had all felt the tremors of the red moon had seen the moon turn red, were seeing the night so dark and red, the mist from the island was letting out waves of suffocating dread. Oh she was scared alright, terrified in fact they all were.
"It's alright Molly..... Am sorry for your loss Thomas, I really am"
Mistakes are always forgivable, if one has the courage to admit them.
Devaro was back to his calm interior but the fear was there and so was the pain and mostly shame.
One makes mistakes; that is life. But it is never a mistake to have loved.
Thomas scoffed in reply, his pain clouding his reasoning.
Molly rolled her eyes, "What am I, a Buddhist geez give me a break will you"
Devaro chuckle from beside her while Thomas stared at her incredulously, he also took notice of her mark, her double mark that left him speechless. Devaro's serious voice didn't leave any room for observations
"Xander was able to hurt Alovia with an arrow, I want to know how that was possible, she is a goddess who can't be hurt so how? If we can figure it out we have a chance at stopping Alovia"
"We still have to find Lydia" Molly added soldemly.
They were few, their problems were much they needed reinforcements.
"Devaro how many Lycans do we still have?"
His lips pursed, he knew for a fact that the two Lycans he sent with the Valshers were killed off by Igaro so....
"Igaro?"
"Three my lord, Hunter, Senta and Titan plus myself making four"
Devaro nodded at that as the guilt once again ate him up, even though they were pets it still hurts loosing someone you grew up with all your life.
"Has anybody heard from uncle Davis?"
Micage questions dauntingly.
"No we haven't and we still need the warrior, who knows how many demons will be after us"
Melissa replied with a concern look.
"We still have to go to Isha" Thomas added.
They felt their shoulders weight down on them.
"Okay we will do it like this, Tom you and Igaro find Lydia, Cage, you and one of the lycans gather up reinforcement and Devaro, you and Molly with the remaining lycans find out what made Alovia scream and find a replica, okay once done I will meet you all at Isha, something tells we that is were the battle will begin".
They nodded, graduation out their support.
"What about you Lissa?"
Micage asked worriedly
She smiled that her famous cheire grin.
It is the false shame of fools to try to conceal wounds that have not healed., she wasn't a fool to conceal her wounds she opens it up and shares it with the others.
Who can't relate to the idea of leaving one chapter behind and moving on to the next? Cause every new beginning comes from some other beginning's end.
"Hope revives Peace remember. I'll meet you all there with mother"
With that settled they nodded and went ahead with their various duties.

The ray of light that came from the island that was close to Isha trigger a distress signals through her body something told her that Island that suddenly appear after the appearance of the red moon was the forbidden dark forest the place where the demons were casted on. No one never realize it would be this close to Isha, the village where it all began.
Melissa let out a laboured breath before darting back to the cottage back to the bloodied stray with flowers and weed. She had an hypnosis that she prayed worked. Time wasn't on their side, but just as time wasn't on their side so was luck, a blast threw her out the shed to the misty ground, it drew out her transformation at the danger present with her.
"Insolent dog the lots of you"
She snarl at the pale face with red blood hair, she licked her lips at the pitch black eyes, she sent a claw towards her wavy body that defiled gravity.
"I have neither the time nor the crayon to explain this to you, you are on stupid pills so fall into something comfortable like a coma"
Mel snapped angrily at being stop to fight a being not worth her time.
Alovia swayed away from her attacks which were none existent except for the burnt mark across her neck and the arrow mark on her right breast. She looked livid and more crazed.
They needed that thing to kill the demoness.
If time was a bitch it was at that moment it became one, when Alovia had a ball of dark magic in her hand aiming to strike her, a grey mist surrounded Melissa moving at a fast pace to shield her from the attack.
"Well you sure took your sweet time, uncle"
Mel sneer at the Davister warrior, relief in her despite her tone.
"Go get your mother, I'll hold her off"
She nodded before darting behind him as Davis sent blast after blast towards Alovia
"Remember Melissa, there is magic in your blood"
She understood the message and she was more eager to work them and end this once and for all.
