Chapter Six

A week had passed since our day at the mall. I was getting used to the expression and life mode here.

As for the person who is wondering about my job, I didn't start yet today is my first day. Do I feel stress? Maybe just a little?

When it comes to my nightmares, I still had one every night. I felt bad for Taeo who I waked up every night since his room is next to mine.

Oh, I almost forgot to tell you that I got a cellphone! Taeo bought me one but I've promised to pay it back when I will have enough money. Even though he said that I didn't have to.

I took my phone from my bed table and looked at the time. I should really get up or else I will be late. I hurried up and work the clothes they gave me for work. It was very comfortable compared to sparkly dresses. I did my morning routine and catch an apple while heading to the car. Emily was the one taking me there, she was already in the car waiting for me. I hop into the passenger seat and buckled my seatbelt.

"How are you feeling?" Emily asked me.

"Maybe a little bit stressed," I said as she laughs a little.

"Don't worry it's normal."

On our way there I ate my apple and me and Emily talked. We had become friends, well besties according to her words. She is like a ball of energy, she makes me laugh a lot. I had also learned what a crush his and guess what? She has one on Mark. It might not surprise anyone since It is quite obvious according to me.

"Stop daydreaming girl, we had arrived at destination." I heard Emily said.

I laughed a little before saying,

"Sorry Emily, I shall get going than thank you for the ride."

With a big smile, I got out of the car and headed toward the bubble tea shop. As I arrived there I saw my boss.

"Good morning Kim, are you excited." She asked me.

"Good morning Cathlene, ah yes I am."

"Today you will work with Jackson, he should arrive soon. He actually will be the one who will train you for two weeks, until you learned everything."

"Okay thank you for letting me know," I said politely

She chuckled before commenting,

"You are too formal Kim."

"My apologies I will try to be more normal," I said with a smile.

"It's okay, oh here he comes,"

I turned around to see a tall guy coming toward us, he must be Jackson.

"Hello beautiful, I am Jackson and you must be Kim?" He said in a flirty tone.

It made me blush and become shy, not because I liked him just because I wasn't used to this.

Cathlene was the first one to speak.

"Jackson let the poor girl in peace." She scolded him.

"Sorry boss but it ain't my fault if I'm too sexy," he said in a playful tone.

Our boss laughs at his behavior and just decided to continue.

"Just go teach her how to do the drinks already. Oh and Kim if there's any problem you can come and tell me I will be in the staff room. And you behave yourself." She said to Jackson before heading to the staff room.

"Well please follow me," He said before heading behind the counter.

My first day wasn't bad, it was actually pretty fun. Jackson was a funny guy, we even exchanged phone numbers. The only thing was that he was flirty, but I will get used to it well I hope so.

My shift was soon coming to the end. It was now almost eight, and we needed to close to store at that time. There weren't a lot of customers coming in due to the closing of the store soon. I and Jackson took the opportunity to speak.

"So how did you found your first day?" He asked me smiling.

I couldn't help myself but smile back before speaking.

"I was fun and better than what I had imagined."

"Of course it was you spent the day with the one and only Jackson Cassano."

"You know, you have too much ego," I said while laughing.

We then heard a customer enter our shop so I turned to greet that person.

"Hey, Mark,"

"Hey I came to pick you up, Taeo is still at work and Emily passed out of the couch."

"Okay, I finish my work in about five minutes, want something?"

"Sure, I will take a Mango and Piniacolada medium, please," he asked me with a smile.

"That will be 4,95," I said as he handed me the money. I counted and gave him his change while screaming.

"Jackson a medium mango and pina colada."

"Coming right up cutie," He said.

"He calls you cutie?" asked Mark

"Ah yeah he is a real flirt but he is really kind," I told him.

Soon after Jackson came with Mark's drink. I then went into the staff room to take my phone and said goodbye to my boss. I returned to the main room of the shop. Jackson just finished closing the shop. I walked to Mark.

"I am ready."

"Great let's go then," Mark answered.

"Bye Jackson," I screamed as I and Mark were leaving.

"Bye Kim see you tomorrow."

"I sure will," I told him before going out of his sight.

I and Mark then went to the car and headed back home.
