Nobody left behind

The plane landed them in Pakistan,Yu Yan took a moment to take in her surroundings, she had never really left her house talk less of leaving her country.

"No time to waste, our ship is waiting"Dawei said, and a car pulled over,a young British woman sat in front.

"If am not mistaken, you must be my passengers"she said,in a strong natural accent and they got in.

"You can do this, you must only rescue someone,do not get scared"she said to herself.

"You must know that the organization needs Abdul Kabeer in perfect condition"the British woman added, while driving.

Trying to outline the importance of the asset to their organization.

"Just drive"Chynna said, ending her small talk.

Finally they arrived at the seaport.

"Good luck"the lady said and drove off.

All eyes fell on Yu Yan for the next direction, but she was numb.

"Let's get in the crates in that ship,it's not guarded, and is about to take off"Lee said, helping out Yu Yan.

"What say you?"Dawei asked Yu Yan.

"Yes,I agree"Yu Yan said, and they put on their disguises as cargo loaders to blend in nicely.

"Don't panic"she chanted as she boarded the ship.

They crawled into the crates, and they all successfully entered them.

Yu Yan was shaking, but she wouldn't show it,she knew that she had to conceal her fear,it was her duty.

In thirty minutes the ships left the port, the crates moved about making Yu Yan extremely uncomfortable.

*********

The ship stopped.

"Is it over?"she thought, she waited for a while, till the lid of her crate was lifted up,and a hand was stretched.

Light radiated from the outside, she couldn't know for certain who it was,but she accepted it.

It was Liko,he helped her get out of her crate, everyone was already inside the car.

Dawei sat beside Yu Yan,and passed her a glance, she looked away, watching the road, there was no going back.

*******

Arriving In the Afghanistan Negistan desert didn't make matters any better.

Liko made the trip which would have been manageable unbearable.

He complained about hunger all throughout the journey, till they arrived at the desert.

"Am so hungry!"he whined.

"Liko,be quiet,we just arrived here,we might alert someone"Chynna cautioned.

"What someone! We're in a freaking desert!"he cringed.

It was night time and they had moved about for a long time. The wind caressed their faces, sand slapped their eyes.

"We need to rest"Yu Yan said.

"No,we need to move,let's go"Dawei countered,making her crossed.

"Does he expect us to continue?"Yu Yan asked Lee.

"I say we rest"Yu Yan said, making him tilt his head towards her.

"It will be easier to find the hostage at night, you won't want to journey this desert at day"Dawei said, wanting them to leave.

"Am sorry"Yu Yan said sounding submissive.

Dawei furrowed his brows,at that response.

*An hour or so*

Lee slumped on the desert sand,Liko joined her as well,Chynna stood beside them her hands folded.

Yu Yan looked behind, and equally stopped walking.

"Dawei we can't do it"Yu Yan said,Dawei stopped and growled at her.

"Sleep,I'll go on ahead"Dawei said.

"No,I won't let you"Yu Yan said,Chynna noticing they were at a halt joined Liko and Lee to rest on the sand.

"If you're staying,then I'll move"Dawei said.

"Nobody is getting left behind"Yu Yan firmly said, and Dawei let it rest.

He sat on the sand,he wouldn't admit it,but he needed to rest his legs.

He watched them all rest and he had a sense that something was off with Yu Yan,and he knew he would confront her about it sooner or later

*********

Yu Yan could barely sleep, she got up earlier than everyone else to stretch her legs and look around.

She caught something they didn't far ahead.

She moved a bit further than where her teammates where, she wanted to know if she actually did spot anything.

She walked a good distance, and noticed a little wooden house, she saw three men holding Uzis and knew they were the kidnappers.

She could turn around and go get her teammates, but the kidnappers went away from the door and she had an avenue to retrieve the hostage.

She snuck into the house, which was a difficult task.

"Don't scream! Don't scream"she chanted rhythmically trying to psych herself to the task.

Once inside she took a quick look around, and noticed a load of guns they stashed, which sent shivers down her spine.

She froze for a moment, but she heard a noise, which she followed.

The house was small and she traced it to a door, without bolts.

"Don't.."she heard herself saying but she ended up opening it and saw a man about thirty or so tied up.

She recognized his face as Abdul Kabeer, their victim, and fear gripped her immediately.

She knew what needed to be done and rushed to help him.

He made some muffled sounds, while she untied him.

"Don't worry,I'll save you"Yu Yan said, and once she untied him she heard from behind her.

"Then whose gonna save you?"an ominious voice said.

She traced her eyes to the voice,it was one of the men from outside.

He pointed an Uzi at her face, and she gulped, and before she knew what was going on she was abducted as well.

"Who are you?"the kidnapper asked, but Yu Yan fell silent.

He held her hair, about to yank the life out of it,but he stopped,he heard a sound, and a huge thud.

"What's going on now?"Yu Yan thought to herself, and the abducter went to go investigate and locked the door.

Yu Yan attempted to escape, but another thud was heard, and some wacks as well, the hostage passed her a perplexed glare, which she returned.

But she heard something else, which she wasn't so certain about.

The door flung open and Dawei popped up,he rushed to Yu Yan and untied her,he proceeded to give her a tight embrace.

She had never been hugged by him before, and it felt different,so different than when she was held by Zi Tao,she couldn't name the feeling.

Lee and Chynna came in and they disengaged, Chynna cut through the ropes that held Abdul Kabeer and he jumped out of his seat.

"Who..Who..is you?"he asked with his poor Grammer.

"We're help"Lee said and led them outside,Liko had taken care of the kidnappers and was torching their guns.

Four camels were awaiting them,Angela did get them a mode of transportation in the end.

"I've never seen real life camels before"Yu Yan thought to herself, and they alighted them.

She got on the same Camel as Dawei, and felt his breath on her neck, which she irked at.

"Liko, have you contacted the organization?"Dawei asked.

"Yes,their on their way for a thorough sweep"Liko said.

Before they could set out, another sound was heard.

Yu Yan recognized it,she heard it inside before. It was a baby's cry,and she got off the camel immediately.

"Get back here Yu Yan!"Liko called out but she was certain that she heard something.

"I hear it,it's a baby!"Yu Yan screamed.

"Guys,my tracker is running wild there's a bomb inside!"Lee shrieked.

It felt like de ja Vu to Yu Yan. "

We have to go"Dawei yelled and dismounted his camel.

Yu Yan looked at the house then at a panicked Lee.

"No one left behind"She said and ran inside, despite their calls.

"Yu Yan!"they yelled.

Before Dawei could run from his position the place blew up into bits.

"No!"Dawei yelled,Liko couldn't believe his eyes.

Lee got down to try and save her,Chynna could only look away, while she held Lee back.

Dawei ran towards the fire, but Liko held him back.

"we have to go!"Chynna screamed into Lee's ears, but she refused to listen.

Dawei was equally stubborn.

"No one left behind!"he yelled, and pushed Liko away.

He was about jumping in,but at that moment of transfixon a baby's cry was carried by the wind.

Yu Yan ran to them holding the baby in her hands, close to her chest, she had escaped the house a sec early.

She looked at the child and held her close to her.

"No one left behind"she said and slumped down into the sand still clutching unto the baby, who was crying it's head off, irritated by the heat.

She passed out.
