Resurrecting Her Liang

"Everyone, it looks like our castle is destroyed and we're a bit homeless in the cold night. I'm coming back soon. Pack your things and get ready, I have a place we can stay, " Announced Suzy as she left.

"Can a spell not fix it all?" Asked Chizuko, as he looked at Suzy as she left.

"It can, " said Arley, "But what sense does it make. We have Magic of Destruction which solely destroys or damages things. What we need is an expert who can wield Magic of Creation."

"But where can we find someone like that?" inquired Joseph.

" It's simple, we won't, " added Chizuko, "All of those creation cowards would refuse to help re-build our castle, especially after knowing that the Queen of Chaos lives in it."

"We can force them into doing it for us. I'll help, " suggested Sasuki.

Amos walked to the back of the castle in search of Natan and his sister Nataly. As he took a right turn, behind a marginally demolished wall, rested Natan and his sister.

Natan had his sister in the darkest area and her head horizontally rested upon his lap.

"Is she okay?" asked Amos.

He kept playing with his sister's hair and didn't bother to look at Amos, "She isn't."

"But her wounds, " Amos walked closer, "Her wounds are gone."

"Yeah."

"Did you heal her?"

"Didn't. She did it herself."

"With Healing Magic I suppose..."

His sorrowful eyes got watery as he looked at Amos, "She's a vampire Amos, isn't it obvious! That bastard Liang bit her, he was a Vampire. Therefore, my sister and I are now both Vampires. His fault!"

"I?"

"You see, Amos, " He looked back at his sister and patted her hair to get her to continue her resting after his shouting, "Shhhh...rest now. Amos, Vampires require blood for their survival. A day without the consumption of blood can inflict their starvation. My sister, after getting her body damaged to an unsurvivable state, needed a large volume of blood to initiate her healing. Unfortunately, I happened to be the only one around."

Amos tried to show empathy for Natan, but his lack of sentimentality caused him to not care about anything.

He looked at Natan's sister as she squirmed around, "So you're a vampire too..."

"Yeah, precisely."

Amos audibly heard female-moaning, "Natan, do you hear that?"

"Huh? No, I don't hear anything but your voice."

"I hear crying."

Amos followed the sound. It led him to the destroyed Castle, and he peeked through a hole in a fractured wall and saw Suzy holding Liang's clothing, as she painfully cried.

"Why did you have to leave me!? Why is my resurrection spell not working!? Why is Soul Sacrifice ceasing to function!? Why didn't you at least tell me you loved me, at least once!?" She cried.

Then, Suzy gradually got up and wiped away her tears as she tried yet another spell to wake her Liang up, "Iiheemn Shii attuy en mni arim Crato Soucra anu ship Tu! Undead souls living in me, I am sacrificing you!"

"Resurrection Magic, pay one hundred souls!"

Everything ceased to function.

'Come on, think, think. What would Mamba-Roni do?' she put her hand on her chin as she thought, "Aha! I got it! She'd visit the Grim Reaper or God of Death himself!"

Suzy then anxiously drew a strange depiction of a door, except that it looked more like a portal. Then she took mana stones and placed them in every circle she had drawn on the floor. Then she shouted, "Portal, Atterque!"

And a void had summoned out of the air. She breathed in and then gradually released air from her lungs. Furthermore, she entered the portal and had vanished from the realm, and went into another realm.

As she walked around, she saw multiple souls being held captive by Gods of Death. Yes, the souls were all perceptible to her naked eyes as soon as she had entered the realm.

There were frightening presences and soul sensations that ran through Suzy's body as she explored the realm.

Then Voosh!

"Thou do not belongeth here!" warned a Grim Reaper. "You must leave before thou soul is trapped."

"I am looking for the God of Death."

The Grim Reaper wielded a scythe with a black handle and a red blade. Its face was nothing but a skull and its body was in its skeletal form. And just like all the other Grim Reapers, it wore a cloak. There was one characteristic that set this Grim Reaper apart from the others though, and that was his torn-up red cloak, rather than it being a black coak.

And Suzy got an assumption that he was chauvinistic when compared to the others. Yes, he was indeed Exemplary, he was the highest-ranked Servant of the God of Death. He then touched Suzy on her shoulder with his skeletal hand and they were promptly teleported to another location.

They were in the nest of the God of Death.

As Suzy looked at the Grim Reaper, it pointed at the house in the distance.

She glanced at the house and looked back at the Skeleton, "Carry on now, " said the Grim Reaper, "Don't expect me to take you there. That guy is scary."

She slowly walked to the house that was surrounded by thick white fog. She kept looking back at Grim Reaper and as she looked back a third time, it was not there.

So, she walked to the house and knocked on the door. The door was tall with a cross upside down. Before she could knock again, the door suddenly opened. No one had opened the door.

She had gained a high level of paranoia after the sequential casualty, and she deliberately entered the door and said, "Hello?"

No one had answered her call. The house was rather cosey for one owned by a God of Death. The walls were made up of brick and the chimney provided warmth. There were nice marble tiles on the flooring of the house too, and the house felt prehistoric, with many ancient attributes and collections. And there were strange skulls decorating the house.

As Suzy looked up to the ceiling, something was on the roof! She was surprised by what appeared to be another Grim Reaper. It wore a black cloak and it inhumanly sat on the ceiling, as if it were a floor. As she stood in fear, mildly trembling, the figure then fell from the ceiling, did a flip, and landed on its feet.

She immediately noticed that although this Grim Reaper wore a cloak, its arms were not skeletal, it had human-skin. As it lifted its cloak, it had transpired its identity to her. The person was human, with long black hair and blue eyes. He also had an elegant face, and perfect facial structures.

"Sorry lady, did I scare you?" He asked.

"Ye-Yeah."

Her shivering subsided after hearing his soothing voice.

"I did not mean to scare you. I was just having my regular mundane meditation classes, you know how good old meditation helps with the mind."

"Yeah, " she replied.

"So, what brings you here in the God of Death's house? He seems to have expected you, " Asked the man, as he walked to the kitchen and prepared coffee.

She looked at him as he made the tea, "I came here in search of a specific soul."

"You traveled the entire universe, entered the Spirit Realm, just for a single soul?"

She took a while to answer his question, she held her hands behind her back and looked down at her feet, "Yes, I did."

"Hmmm, I see, so he is of that much value to you."

"He is..." She blushed.

The man then brought steaming aromatic tea to Suzy, "Here take this, come sit at the table and have some tea. As you would have noticed, it is very cold here."

They both sat down at the dinner table with their hot tea-cups at hand.

***

"I see, you have come to speak to the God of Death about it."

"Yeah, I am using a lot of my Magic to stay here, I need to get to him as soon as possible. Do you happen to know where he is?"

"Yeah, I do. Of course, he lives here. Number 0 must have brought you to him. He is expecting your arrival."

"Yeah. Can you carry me to him?"

He swallowed the tea in his mouth, "Sure. After you drink your tea. I will take you to him."

She quickly drank the entire cup of tea and rest her cup on the table.

"There! Let's go."

He didn't finish his tea, but still took her to another room.

She caught thoughtful glimpses of him as he carried her to his King, 'Why in the world is a human being in a place like this? This man is strange. He seems to be (too) happy and charming.'

He caught her looking at him. He then turned his head in her direction, jovially closed his eyes, and smiled.

As they entered the room, the feeling was different. There was a red throne, riches, and many skulls. Moreover, The throne was unoccupied.

"Where is the God of Death?"

"Are you not seeing him, I'm pretty sure he is not his invisible form again, " he approached the throne, his hair turned red, his cloaked turned red and so did his eyes. Then he sat on the throne and smirked, "He's right here."
