Leaving For The Academy

Jonathan didn't want to refuse the offer, looking at Roselyn's puppy eyes, that are filled with guilt, for something she has no hand in, he made the choice of supporting her weight with his hand, so she doesn't really have to feel guilty about anything, but to make her feel better, he decided to eat what she was feeding him, making her have a huge smile on her face, as she got another bite for him to eat.

"You eat it." Jonathan said, pushing the spoon to Roselyn's mouth, which she accepts after a few minutes of hesitation.

Roselyn kept feeding him and herself, till they finished everything, actually about five minutes of her feeding him, he started feeling his hand again, but didn't say anything, because why would he? He wanted to enjoy the moment to the fullest, fearing that it will never repeat ever again.

As they were leaving the restaurant, after Jonathan paid, he told her that his hand is alright, that it has been for the past half an hour, and waited for her to get angry at him, but she only she laughed it off and told him that she is happy to help.

The end of their date, was nearing, the sky was slowly losing it brightness, meaning that Roselyn has to go home, because there is a carriage waiting for her. Jonathan walked her back, much to his unwillingness, he wanted to spend more time with her, time flies when he is with her, he enjoys being close to her, that he almost forgot she has a life, a husband and a daughter, he forgot that he shouldn't fall, he is still resisting but it's hard, it's hard not to fall head over heels, for everything she does.

"Thank you for walking with me." Roselyn said, stopping right in front of the mansion, she will be leaving in a few minutes.

"I want to give you something." Jonathan said, opening his bag.

"You already did. I don't need anything else." Roselyn said, touching the headband in her hair, with a small smile.

"But it's something you really like." Jonathan opened the bag, that has his sketchbook, and took a book out of it, giving it to Roselyn.

"Love is beyond us." Roselyn read the title, remembering that it's the book she saw and liked, in the library they visited. "How did you get it? Didn't the owner say this book isn't for sale?"

"I was able to convince him to give it to me." He said, winking at her.

Jonathan told the owner that he wanted to impress Roselyn, because she is a bookworm and really likes the book, that she will take good care of it, the owner was a bit reluctant at first, but as Jonathan continued perusing him, he gave in.

"When did you get it, though? I didn't see you talking to the owner." Roselyn didn't remember when all of this happen, without her knowledge, Lyn didn't even tell her

"It was when you were looking for another book at the back." Jonathan said, proud of himself for surprising, but this was only the first one from two.

"Thank you so much, I really wanted this book." Roselyn said, giving Jonathan a surprise hug, because of how happy she got.

Jonathan didn't know what to do, does he hug back or just stand still? By the time, he figured it out, Roselyn let go and stood straight, in front of him with a smile, thanking him for the tour and for spending time with her, told him goodbye and went her way; as he stood there, with his fast beating heart, that's telling him, it's too late, there is no more resisting.

'I don't understand you; you tell me unimportant things and the important ones you just push them behind your back?' Roselyn told Lyn, while walking to the entrance.

'I didn't want to ruin his surprise, he looked so happy when he got it for you.' Lyn felt that if she told Roselyn, she won't give Jonathan a good reaction, and that will make him sad, she didn't want her child to be sad, he is her precious ML, she took the time to write about.

'Yeah, he is really nice, wonder when will we…. Wait…. I forgot to tell him that I am leaving.' Roselyn was too busy enjoying her time, she completely forgot that she won't meet him again for a long time she could have at least told him to tell her his address, so she can send letters, but it's too late, he is already gone, he is nowhere to be seen, and he will be nowhere to be seen in her life from now on.

'It's okay, maybe I can get it for you.' Lyn said, trying to cheer Roselyn up, and she succeeded, making her have a genuine smile, when saying goodbye to Oliver and everyone in the household.

Roselyn one last hug to Oliver, telling him to take care of himself, then got into the carriage, waving goodbye at everyone. Oliver smiled, seeing the carriage leaving, feeling relaxed and at ease, because now, Roselyn will have friends and a good education, the same as his daughter; if he had the choice, he would have adopted Roselyn and not marry her, but he can't refuse orders, he can only shorten the period of them, so hopefully by the time, Roselyn gets back, he will be able to give her, her freedom back and not be titled as his wife and a money grabber.

On the way, to the academy, Roselyn opened the book, Jonathan gave her and started reading it; when she reached the last parts of the book, she found a paper with a small note beside it.

The paper contained a sketch of her sleeping, a very well done one, the note read as followed:

 Mrs. Roselyn

I hope you like the drawing; I am sorry for drawing you without your permission. I enjoyed our time together; I really like your company and will look forward to our possible meeting. I wrote my address down if you would like to exchange letters.

'Just how perfect of a ML he is?' That was the only thing Roselyn could think of, while trying not to squeal, because of how happy she got, for different reasons, one, the sketch is really beautiful and makes her look breathtaking, second, she has his address so Lyn doesn't have to bother herself to look for it and she won't sound like a creep, by suddenly sending him a letter, when he didn't give her his address, third, he is so cute and will make an awesome son in law, if he only didn't cause destruction when angry and feeling betrayed.
