Gathering

I woke up slowly from the decently soft bed. It was kind of hard and comfy at the same time. An odd mixture. I just sat in bed for a bit and breathed in the much cooler and cleaner air than what I was used to in the Nether. I then heard a knock on the door.

"Who is it?!" I called to whoever was behind the door.

"It's me, Alix!" Alix's muffled voice shouted back through the door. "I just thought you might want to come to the gathering me and my friends are going to. It is sort of like school I guess, but without the work and bullies. Ya know, since it is summer and there isn't really any other way we can visit.. Probably would be a good way to get to know the others." I just thought about it for a moment, but not too much.

"Um, sure!" I exclaimed as I jumped out of bed and ran to the chest. I had left most of my things in the chest since it was often uncomfortable to sleep with lots of stuff in your inventory. I grabbed everything I had and ran out the door right into Alix.

"Wow, more excited than I expected." Alix chuckled. I laughed a little and followed Alix out of the inn. When we walked down the streets I looked around at all the many colorful unique buildings that each had their own style.

After walking for a bit Alix lead me to a place outside what I guessed was the school. The building looked bland compared to all the other buildings. I followed Alix to the playground area where several other teenagers were lazily swinging on the swings or just hanging around waiting for Alix.

"Yo! Looks like Alix finally decided to show up!" A boy in a dark blue long sleeve shirt teased playfully. Everyone else looked our way as Alix and I walked over to them.

"What took you so long?" A girl who reminded me of Audrey but a lot nicer looking asked. And she had pink hair instead of purple.

"Who is that?" The blue shirt kid asked.

"Blue, Anny, this is Hazel. Hazel, this is Blue, Anny, Jack, Don, and Sarah." Alix I trounced us all. I waved shyly and everyone smiled at me kindly. Blue was the boy with black hair and a long sleeve blue shirt. Anna was the girl with pink hair. Jack was a boy who looked the oldest with long blond hair and a pink t-shirt. Don was probably only twelve. He sported a calico shirt and mostly short brown hair that the front of fell a little into his face. And Sarah had black hair and a bright pink tank-top. All and all, the group seemed pretty nice.

"I for one vote we play soccer first, then Freeze Tag." Jack suggested to the crew. With no better ideas, they all nodded their heads and I just followed along as the games began. I was horrible at soccer and kept falling over in the slippery grass. But I was decent at Freeze Tag. I hadn't ever really played much of either so the rules had to be explained to me a little. After the tenth round of freeze tag everyone voted to get some icecream. I for one was surprised icecream even existed, but kept my mouth shut about it. I forgot all the flavors but the one I got was the diamond ore flavor. It didn't have real diamonds in it of course, but it did taste good.

While icecream time I sat through a Q&A about my past and how I had made my way to Minecraftia. I made sure to keep things simple and straight forwards with the same story as before, but had to add details here and there to keep it more real sounding.

When the day was over, and all was said and done, I laid back in the Inn bed, pleased with my day. I was surprised by how quickly I had gotten into the swing of things. And I couldn'T wait for tomorrow.
