><>Hazel's POV<><
I had changed. That was for sure! I didn't exactly feel like I was being controlled or anything. Something just snapped inside me that said, 'Hey, you need to be evil now.' And I couldn't fight back. I used the powers I had slowly learned over the past three months. I sent fire down on the city as well as bolts of lightning. I am embarrassed to say that at the time, I was enjoying myself. An evil smile plastered on my face and my actions like something inside me had just been set free after so long of being caged up.
Looking back now, it was scary. I was terrifying. Arrows shot up at me but they disintegrated before reaching me. I had never used that power before. My uncle joined in terrorizing the city. It confused me however when I saw him look at me with a slightly sad look on his face. 'Why?' I was doing everything he wanted me to. Did he want me to rebel against him instead? I sure didn't feel like doing so at the time.
"Make sure not to kill the good fighters. We need an army after all." Herobrine told me as he floated past. I simply smiled and nodded. Then he left to terrorize the other side of the city.
"Now!!" I heard a familiar voice shout. Then I turned around just in time to see a stone block being launched at me. As it got close I readied my fist and punched the stone, shattering it into hundreds of little pebbles. I smirked when I looked down at those who had launched it. I saw Alix, along with Blue, Henry, Anny, Jack, Don, and Sarah. They all looked determined to beat me and save their homes. I showered the 'heroes' in fire and they all got out their shields to block the heat. I looked around and saw others putting out my fires with water. That angered me.
"Why aren't they just dying already?!" I growled in the back of my throat. Another stone block shot up at me and I flew out of the way to dodge it. As I dodged, I saw that there was a person clinging onto the block. It was Blue. When he was passing me he jumped off the block and grabbed the arm with a sword in my hand. His weight caused me to start falling to the floor.
"Hazel this isn't you!" Blue shouted as he gripped my arm tightly so he wouldn't fall. I just grunted and tried to shake him off.
"Pathetic human! Let go of me!!" I shouted. Then I began flying towards the top of a building that I could ram him into.
"Well, then I hope the real Hazel forgives me for doing this!" He shouted.
"What?!" I questioned. When I was just about to slam Blue into the wall of a tall building he pulled out a sword and used it as best he could since he was still trying to hold on, to stab me in the gut. I flinched at the pain and tilted off-balance. Blue then jumped off of me onto the roof of the tower I was going to slam him into. I fell over and crashed into the street.
I got back up with my movements much slower. I looked up and saw all my old friends' feet. I quickly stood and drew a diamond sword in my right hand that looked like it itself was being corrupted from the tip of the blade.
"Hazel, we don't want to fight you.." Anny said to me. They all started slowly taking steps in closer, giving me a claustrophobic feeling. I stepped back once but then realized who was supposed to be threatening who. So, I stiffened up, let myself breathe at an unsteady beat, and walked towards the group in front of me. I dragged my sword on the floor as I walked, so a painful scraping noise and the occasional spark followed me. Then it was my old friends' turn to back away in fear.
"Don't make us kill you." Henry warned. I could hear the fear in his voice though, no matter how badly he tried to hide it. I smirked.
"I know you couldn't kill me, even if I let you.." I said with confidence. "Now fight, or die!" I shouted. "Who knows, I might spare you if you survive against me long enough. Herobrine does need an army after all." I said slyly. I then watched as several of their faces either changed to worry, fear, or anger. I smiled at that.
"Over my dead body." Henry growled. He was the one right in front of me closer to me than the others.
"Well, I guess you'll be dying then." I shrugged. And I let Henry charge at me with his sword raised. Once he was close enough to me I spun out of the way, doing a backspin kick to the side of his head, and in the same motion quickly lifted my sword and cut diagonally across his shoulder.
Henry stammered on his feet and grabbed his right shoulder in pain. I jump kicked and sent Henry to the floor before landing on him with a stab. Everyone gasped, shocked by my speed. I could tell Henry was still alive, but I left him time to reconsider who's side he was on. "..Who's next?" I asked as I looked into the crowd with a sinister smile.
Everyone then jumped at me altogether. Well, everyone except Don. He was gestured to help poor lil Henry. The fight with all of my old friends was probably the funniest fight I had ever experienced. They all circled around me. And attacked me at once. Sophia grabbed both my feet from in front and held on so I could fall easier. Anny grabbed my shoulders from behind. Jack grabbed my right arm and Alix grabbed my right. I smiled when I knew exactly what to do.
I ripped my arms from Alix quickly and grabbed my dagger in that hand. In that same second, I stabbed Jack's hands with the dagger, making him let go. In the next split second, I used both my now empty hands to grab both of Anny's hands and flip her over my head right onto Sophia. My legs were then free so I could sidekick Alix then Jack. As the two guys recovered they drew their swords, giving me something to grab ahold of. I grabbed both their blades and jumped high up, causing them to bang into each other because lucky for me, they didn't let go of their swords. I then crashed down on both them, smushing them into the pile on top of Anny and Sophia. I then jumped off the pile like I didn't even care. But I looked back, pleased with my little human pile.
"Give up?" I asked them all with a boasting grin. I let them all slowly get up. They were more fun to beat up when they weren't playing dead. And yes, I was acting a lot like a cat playing with their prey. Alix was the first to fully stand. His legs were shaky under him as he stared directly at me.
"..Please come back Hazel... You were good friends with my sister right? What do you think she would want you to do?" Alix asked, trying to get through to the real me. He used the wrong angle.
"...Audrey, would have, killed me..." I stated.
"W- why?" Alix questioned.
"Heh, I never really did tell you did I?" I teased the truth in front of his face. He just looked at me with a question on his face. "The only reason she was killed by Herobrine, was because she was banished from his castle, and found someone new to work for.. She used to work for Herobrine! And guess what, she liked being bad! She would threaten me when she feared I might replace her in rank! She chose to be evil!!" I told Alix. He looked stricken like an arrow had just stricken him in the heart.
"..No.. No, you're lying!" Alix retarded.
"Do you think I would seriously lie about the very person I buried?" I asked in return. I could see the truth slowly sink into my old friend. Alix shouted in anger as he rushed towards me with his sword drawn me. 'Goodbye, old friend..'
When he got close, I punched upwards, hitting him in the stomach and sending him flying directly up into the air. He screamed when he began flying up so high. I flew up after him and followed him at the same level as he continued going up. In the split moment that he just hovered in the same spot, having just lost the upward momentum, I spoke to him in a chillingly cold tone.
"Say hello to your sister for me." I smiled evily. Then I just watched as he began falling back down, to his death.
'NO, ALIX!!!' The real me screamed inside. I panicked, swapping sides suddenly by willpower, and swooped down to save my friend.
'What am I doing?! I am EVIL!'
'No! I am good!!'
'EVIL!'
'GOOD!'
EVIL!'
'GOOD!!'
'EVIL!!'
'GOOD!!!'
'EVIL!!!'
'GOOOOOOOOD!!!!!!!'
I fought with myself as I flew after Alix. But finally, good triumphed over evil, and I was able to save him in the nick of time. He looked shocked when he looked up from the ground to see I had caught his arms.
"Hazel! It's you!!" Alix cheered. "Your eyes, t- they're normal again, sort of.." He told me.
"My eyes were different?" I asked him.
"Um, yeah! They were like Herobrine's, but black!" He told me. 'Maybe that's why he was looking at me a little sad earlier. Huh.' I wondered. When we made it to ground level I set Alix down next to the others; everyone was so excited I was back to the old me.
"Yes! I knew Hazel was still good on the inside!" Sophia cheered with everyone else. Anny then slapped her on the back of the head, hinting to me that she was lying.
"Wait, is Henry okay?" I asked everyone. They suddenly fell silent.
"Over here Hazel!" Don called. I turned abruptly and was stunned. Henry was still laying on the floor in the same position as earlier, bleeding still.
"Oh no.." I whispered. Then I ran over to Henry.
"Henry! No, I am so sorry!" I apologized, sliding on my knees to him.
"I tried using healing potions, but none of them helped. He looks sick or something." Don said to us all. I looked down with teary eyes at the villager. The stab wound looked like some dark substance that was spreading from it; the same stuff as on my sword.
"Oh no, I think my sword gave him some kind of wither affect." I panicked.
"Well, how do you cure it?" Jack asked over my shoulder.
"..I...don't....know.." I answered in defeat. A couple of tears swelled in my eyes and fell slowly down my cheeks. I felt hopeless for my old friend. We hadn't known eachother too well, but I felt as if he would always be there to help me if I ever needed help. He just seemed like that kind of a friend. And I couldn't lose him. I just couldn't.
