The Bad News

"Kyle Reading Found! Buy now! The Palindrome Journal!" The newsboy shouted on the street as hordes of spectators bought the newspaper. Everywhere that the newspaper was sold, people lined up to read the hottest news in town.

Susana Reading just alighted from the rented carriage when people began to look at her. She proceeded to the funeral house of Garlan Peel to seek their help in managing his husband's remains. Even as she walked inside the office, people couldn't help but look at her.

"I am here for Mr. Peel." She told the man on the information desk.

The man nodded and stood up. "Please take a seat, Mrs. Reading. I will find Mr. Peel in the back room."

The funeral house had rows of chairs with an old corporate office ambiance as people typed their transactions in their heavy-duty typewriters. Susana saw The Palindrome Journal on the table and was amazed by the headline. She was about to read it, but she heard someone clearing his throat behind her.
