The world was suddenly tormented by a high concentration of static waves which people then named 'Freakquency' for its ability to turn humans who could hear it into monsters or heroes. 

Jet Carlisle, a cynical young man, is one of the unfortunate few who could hear it. But something troublesome attached herself to him. Though there might be something more to the pesky girl than meets the eye. 

And Jet would find out whether he wanted to or not.

CHAPTER EIGHTY-TWO

As Alec and Jet bantered with each other, the monster who they were supposed to kill slowly peeked at them from behind the table it was hiding at. Alec quickly stopped, pulling his hand down that was about to smack his younger partner once more.

He slowly turned his focus back on the monster. With furrowed brows, Alec decided to try something. He outstretched a hand towards the student who transformed. "It's okay. We won't hurt you. I promise,"

The young monster cocked his head to the side innocently. Despite his obviously transformed appearance, all Alec could see was a kid. And he couldn't bring himself to kill him. Especially if the monster itself was not attacking.
