CHAPTER NINETY-EIGHT

Clinton knew that Alec's use of his first name meant he was not asking permission from his boss. But, instead, support from a friend. With a deep breath, he nodded.

Alec nodded back. Ronnie, who finally figured out what they were talking about, pulled the doctor away from them. Leto glanced at him in question but Ronnie told her to do as he says and that she would soon find out why. 

Z followed Ronnie's example without a question. He took Noah with him and they stood behind Ronnie, who scowled at them. 

Clinton patted Alec on the shoulder as he nodded at him before he, too, stepped away from him. 

As he stayed there alone, Alec took a deep breath as he put his fingers together but his palms stayed separated. As he closed his eyes, sparks started from the tip of his fingers. The room was filled with the sound of the cracking of his electricity as its blue hue hummed around them.
